The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2320: Native from the Origin Island (II)

Chapter 2320: Native from the Origin Island (II)

This place was a death trap, with insects capable of infecting and threatening the life of an Alpha–Omega Overgod with a single bite, yet before him was a man fishing. If that did not raise some alarm, then Bradly should just kill himself.

The Neo-Angel raised his guard but did not retreat. While he had no idea of that person’s identity, given that only their group and that of the Life Path had entered this place in the last few billion years, there was only one logical answer for that person’s origin.

"A native." Sharpening his gaze, Bradly began to walk forward and got a better picture of the man’s short silver hair. He did not really care about his appearance and only wanted to interrogate him, so he could learn about the Eternity Gate.

Yet just as Bradley appeared within one hundred meters of the man, that figure vanished.

The Neo-Angel’s eyes sharpened as he saw that. "Was it an illusion?"

That thought had just crossed his mind when suddenly he felt a hand touching his shoulder. In the same heartbeat, the Neo-Angel blasted forward before turning around, raising his arm, and adopting a battle stance as his auras exploded.

Only now did he get a proper glance at the man.

He was an extremely handsome, pale young man with sharp, almost statuesque features and tousled hair. His eyes were a vivid violet, giving him an intense, otherworldly stare, yet there was nothing but peace and composure in them.

He wore a black cloak clasped by a gold ornament over a white outfit, creating a stark contrast. The man’s calm demeanor did not break as he saw Bradly’s battle stance or raging aura.

The power of the Neo-Angel did not intimidate him at all, and he simply spoke with a severe and commanding tone. "Who are you, and with whom did you come?"

Bradley’s eyes narrowed as he heard that question. "It seems that this person is not aware of our arrival and that of the warriors of the Life Path."

The warrior with violet eyes stared at Bradley for a moment before speaking again. "Life Path—what is that? How many warriors does it have?"

"What!?" Bradley could not hide the shock in his heart as he heard those words. "Did he just read my mind?"

He had faced power that could read his intent and emotions, such as the Flow, and that was already shocking. Yet something that could read the mind of an Alpha–Omega Overgod without any form of connection and clearly without any effort—that should be impossible. But what he heard next made it clear that the impossible was happening.

"Yes, I can hear your thoughts. Now answer my question, or I will force it out."

The shock in Bradly only grew as he heard that, and immediately he clenched his teeth, concentrating his mind on the present, stopping it from thinking about anything else other than the man before him.

A flash of coldness went through the man with violet eyes as he clenched his right fist. "Fine then— the hard way it will be."

Those words had just finished when the violet-eyed man vanished, appearing before Bradly and striking. The punch did not seem to carry any form of energy enhancement or special power, yet as Bradly saw it, he felt as if a moon was about to land on him at the speed of light.

The Neo-Angel immediately raised his arm in a defensive stance before the blow landed, and was blasted into the distance, smashing through several trees before crashing into a massive boulder.

Given that destroying a single tree in this place was harder than blasting a small world, it was easy to figure out the strength of the violet-eyed man. Bradly puked a mouthful of blood as he bounced out of the boulder, but there was no time to waste as he could see the violet-eyed man flashing forward.

Immediately, he made his aura explode, flooding throughout his body, significantly enhancing his battle abilities. In a place like Origin Island, where abilities and spells saw their range and power greatly diminished by the density and sturdiness of the laws, a physical enhancement style like that of Bradly was perfect.

"ARGHHHHH!" The Neo-Angel roared as he lunged forward, ready to tackle the violet-eyed man.

Unfortunately, by reading Bradley’s mind, the violet-eyed man was able to move into the perfect stance, dodging the lunge and responding with a knee strike that landed directly in Bradly’s chest, driving out the air of the Neo-Angel’s lungs.

However, while painful, his physical enhancement allowed Bradly to endure the blow, and he immediately twisted his figure, his elbow flashing toward the violet-eyed man. But once more, the man was able to dodge the blow before countering.

The violet-eyed man’s fist flashed forward, ready to crash into Bradley’s face. And it did—yet by moving at the last second, Bradly was able to respond to the punch with his forehead, neutralizing it before striking back. The violet-eyed man managed to dodge that blow, yet a flash of surprise appeared in his gaze, as he knew Bradley had not responded by instinct or luck, but through skill, as if he had been waiting for a counter.

Bradley smiled as a rising confidence grew in his heart. "Training against that man’s abilities is also helpful against this person."

"That man?" An inquisitive light appeared in the violet-eyed man’s stare as he read Bradly’s mind. "Is there someone where you come from that can use our abilities?"

Bradly shook his head, reinforcing his mental state, enduring not to reveal anything, and flashed forward, using the training against the Flow to face the abilities of the violet-eyed man.

The battle grew harder for the violet-eyed man, but soon the light in his eyes sharpened. The next second, Bradly felt a punch bury into his stomach, and shock appeared as the power behind the fist was so immense that for a second he felt it would pierce inside him.
