The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2419: Gazing into the Flow

Chapter 2419: Gazing into the Flow

Cain felt a sharp, piercing sensation stab directly into his mind and soul, cold and invasive. In an instant, he understood what was happening.

Soul enslavement.

The very concept was enough to plunge even the mightiest beings into terror. To have one’s soul subdued, chained, and reduced to a puppet for all eternity was a fate worse than death—a nightmare that stripped away identity, will, and freedom.

Yet instead of fear, the only thing that surfaced in Cain’s mind was amusement.

"Hahahaha... how stupid."

Ever since his clash with Legion, Cain had treated the defense of his soul as an absolute priority. Paradise was filled with monstrous lifeforms, ancient existences wielding bizarre and terrifying abilities. To neglect soul defenses here would have been suicidal.

Golden seals immediately manifested across his soul, intricate and layered, radiating ancient authority. They slowed the corruption and spread of the Crown Prince’s power to a crawl. What should have taken mere seconds was forcibly stretched into a grueling struggle that could last hours.

Inside Sky Terror, the Crown Prince frowned deeply as he sensed those defenses. Cold resolve burned in his gaze as he poured more and more energy into his Ancestor Power, forcing his will forward.

"The stronger you resist," he murmured darkly, "the more I want you."

The crimson eye embedded in the Crown Prince’s forehead glowed brighter and brighter, its light flooding the interior of the colossal fiendish dragon. Cain felt the corruption surge, pressing against his golden seals with overwhelming force, cracking them inch by inch.

Yet Cain did not panic.

Those seals were never meant to be absolute.

They were meant to buy time.

"The defenses are in place," Cain thought calmly. "Time for the offensive."

There were many paths open to him.

He could burn the immense ocean of soul force he had accumulated over the years. He could consume the vitality and energy of the Ocean of the Blood Sun itself to empower his resistance. He could even send his Primordial Essence into his newly forged body and abandon the ocean entirely.

Every option carried a terrible price—one that would damage his foundation or cripple his long-term potential.

Fortunately, Cain had another method.

One that was free.

And far more devastating.

Using the Power of Chaos, Cain seized the soul-bound channel forged by the Crown Prince. What had been a one-way invasion was violently twisted, reshaped into a two-way conduit.

A bridge.

The next instant, the Crown Prince’s vision was filled with colossal scarlet eyes—so vast they seemed capable of swallowing the heavens themselves.

"Hmph. A clever trick," the Crown Prince scoffed. "But I am stronger."

Though surprised that his attack had turned into a clash, the Crown Prince pushed forward relentlessly. His soul power continued to spread, grinding against Cain’s presence. All he needed to do was endure. His Ancestor Power would claim another slave.

What he did not realize—

Was that the Scarlet King never intended to attack with his soul. The plan was much more absolute. Something that could break even a warrior at the peak of the Third Realm.

The scarlet eyes began to glow.

Not red.

But gold.

Brighter and brighter they shone, until they eclipsed everything in the Crown Prince’s sight. And then—his awareness shattered.

His mind found itself surrounded by a vast, endless current, flowing beyond space and time. It carried an eternal serenity, a profound peace that dissolved conflict, identity, and resistance alike.

The sharp focus and killing intent in the Crown Prince’s mind began to fade, replaced by a gentle, contented smile.

For a heartbeat, he felt bliss.

Then horror.

Because he could feel himself unraveling.

The current was consuming him—not violently, but absolutely. It erased ego, stripped individuality, and dissolved existence itself. Using the Power of Chaos, Cain had forced their souls to gaze directly upon the pure Flow—the current that bound all reality together.

Cain could resist its pull.

The Crown Prince could not.

"No... no, no, no—!" Panic overtook him as he tried to fight back, to flee, to resist.

But struggling only accelerated the process, like thrashing in quicksand.

"Someone—help me!"

Those were the last words the Crown Prince ever uttered.

His Primordial Essence and soul were torn apart and absorbed into the Flow, erased without remainder.

"ARGHHHHH—!"

"ARGHHEHEH—!"

"ROOOOSSSRRRR—!"

Orfin, Gilgark, and Sky Terror screamed in absolute agony as the Crown Prince’s seal over their souls shattered instantly. The sudden backlash tore through them like a spiritual explosion.

"NOW!"

Cain’s voice thundered through the minds of Morningstar, Mirena, Hades, and Satan. A flood of vitality and energy surged into their bodies, pushing them beyond their limits—granting them strength for one final strike.

Satan rose into the air, his eyes blazing as he unleashed a massive torrent of infernal flames.

Hades roared, raising his hands as a colossal sphere of annihilating energy formed above his palms.

Mirena shone like a falling star, her Ancestor Power erupting as she descended with a devastating kick, smashing directly into Orfin’s skull.

And Morningstar—

Morningstar’s weapon reshaped into a massive bastard sword larger than his own body. With a single, merciless swing, he cleaved through Sky Terror’s spine.

The two Royal Blutlinie and the colossal Omen Beast—still containing the Crown Prince’s corpse—were hurled into the Ocean of the Blood Sun. Gravely wounded, shattered in body and soul, they were unable to resist as the crimson currents wrapped around them.

The ocean sealed them.

And consumed them.

Thrill and exhilaration surged through Cain’s soul as he felt the gains pouring in. The vitality and energy of a Late Alpha–Omega Overgod Omen Beast caused the Ocean of the Blood Sun to expand dramatically.

But that was not the true prize.

The Ancestor Drops within the bodies of the Crown Prince, Gilgark, and Orfin were unimaginably pure—far surpassing anything Cain had obtained from Kameron or Kanto.

Once he refined them, their power would feed directly into his own Ancestor Drop, strengthening it beyond expectations.

Just as Cain prepared to devour them—

A voice echoed across the battlefield.

"Stop."
