The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2503: Wounding the Worlds of the Root

Chapter 2503: Wounding the Worlds of the Root

Anark and Meylin continued leading the charge, driving the forces of the Nine Empyrean Suns Alliance toward the Worlds of the Root.

The retreating armies of the Root were collapsing under the relentless assault.

More and more abominations were torn apart as the allied forces advanced through the void, their attacks ripping through the twisted creatures with ruthless efficiency. Bodies shattered, corrupted blood flooded the battlefield, and the void itself trembled beneath the destructive waves of power.

Finally, the advancing army reached the Wall of Flesh and Fire that surrounded the Worlds of the Root.

For years, that barrier had stood as an impenetrable defense.

It was a grotesque structure—an endless wall composed of living flesh fused with raging crimson fire. The barrier pulsed like a living organism, constantly regenerating and devouring any energy directed toward it.

After the vanishing of the Scarlet King, the forces of the Nine Empyrean Suns Alliance had been completely unable to breach it.

But today... things were different.

Anark’s eyes ignited with determination.

He raised his hand.

Immediately, a myriad of swords burst into existence around him, forming a massive pentagram-shaped formation in the void.

The moment the formation appeared, the eyes of every great powerhouse in the Nine Empyrean Suns Alliance began to glow.

Without hesitation, they unleashed beams of their own power toward the formation.

Streams of golden, crimson, violet, and silver energy converged upon the pentagram.

The structure absorbed it all.

The swords trembled violently as the formation grew brighter and brighter, its power rising to terrifying levels.

Finally, the pentagram released its attack.

A gargantuan beam of energy erupted forward.

The sheer power contained within that beam made the entire void tremble.

The attack was not particularly fast. It required time to gather energy and focus its destructive force, which meant that against agile opponents it would not be very effective.

But against a stationary target like the Wall of Flesh and Fire...

It was perfect.

The beam slammed directly into the barrier.

For several seconds, the wall screamed.

A horrifying, organic shriek echoed across the battlefield as the flesh that composed the barrier twisted and burned under the overwhelming power.

Then the beam pierced through it.

A massive hole was carved directly through the defensive wall.

Far away, Robuke and Mikela stared in disbelief.

Their eyes widened as they saw the breach.

Until now, the only person who had ever been able to pierce the Wall of Flesh and Fire had been the Scarlet King.

And he had achieved that feat only by wielding a strange power capable of manipulating the Universal Matrix itself.

Without him, the Monster of the Root and the Warlock of the Root had always believed they could retreat safely behind the barrier whenever necessary.

But that certainty had just been shattered.

"Where did they get that thing?!" Mikela shouted, her voice filled with confusion and rage.

Her gaze locked onto the strange treasure that had already returned to Anark’s space treasury.

Of course, Anark had no intention of explaining the truth.

The Samsara Arsenal Module was one of the greatest secrets of the alliance. Nor would he ever reveal that the corpses of the Root’s own abominations had been converted into the Fortune needed for this treasure.

Instead, the True Primordial of the Void simply released another surge of energy.

His aura exploded outward as he reinforced his defenses against the corrupting influence of the Worlds of the Root.

Then he attacked again.

The Primordial Force of the Void exploded with total control, erasing everything in its reach, collapsing space-time, and making the sky around the Worlds of the Root tumble.

Anark carved a path through the abomination and managed to reach Robuke, landing a ferocious strike into the chest of the Monster of the Root, blasting his figure into the landmass.

Meylin and the other great powerhouses of the alliance did not fall behind.

They burned through enormous amounts of their remaining energy reserves, unleashing devastating strikes upon the battlefield.

The fleeing abominations were pulverized.

Corrupted landmasses that had spread outward from the Worlds of the Root were shattered under waves of destructive power.

It was a rain of death and destruction.

Unfortunately, it did not last long.

Although the warriors of the Nine Empyrean Suns Alliance had grown powerful enough to endure the corrupting aura of the Root worlds for short periods of time...

There were still limits to what they could withstand.

Even so, wide smiles appeared across many of their faces.

Today had been a major victory.

For the first time since Cain vanished, they had managed to carve a wound into the enemy’s territory.

They had taken a massive step forward.

Anark cast one final murderous glance toward Robuke and Mikela.

Then he waved his hand.

The countless corpses of destroyed abominations scattered across the battlefield suddenly began flying toward him. One after another, the bodies vanished into his spatial treasury.

Only after collecting everything did Anark finally retreat alongside the rest of the army.

Robuke and Mikela watched the departing forces of the Nine Empyrean Suns Alliance with murderous rage burning in their eyes.

Yet beneath that fury...

There was also fear.

Things were no longer going well for them.

As their thoughts drifted back to the turning point of the war, both of them remembered the same figure.

A young man with white hair.

Red eyes.

And a wide, unsettling smile.

If there was someone they hated even more than Anark...

It was the Crimson Exarch.

They had been on the verge of devouring their third Empyrean World when that man suddenly appeared, bringing with him the True Depravita of Original Sin.

Everything had changed after that.

However, those thoughts did not linger for long.

Robuke and Mikela glanced at each other.

A dangerous understanding flashed between them.

If they continued like this, the forces of the Root would eventually be defeated piece by piece.

That could not be allowed to happen.

A grim conversation began deep within the Worlds of the Root as the massive hole in the Wall of Flesh and Fire slowly regenerated.
