Chapter 2615: The First (I)
Chapter 2615: The First (I)
The weapon emitted a terrifyingly powerful presence, one that merged flawlessly with the Inferno Daemon as though it had always been part of him. The Primarch of Conquest waved his hand once more, and the Inferno Daemon immediately began moving with savage precision.
He swung the weapon through the air, releasing razor-sharp streams of water capable of slicing apart everything in their path. Each strike resembled the jaws of a colossal shark tearing through flesh and bone, carrying both overwhelming force and terrifying speed.
Cain’s eyes widened as pure thrill surged through him.
The strength displayed by the Inferno Daemon far exceeded what should have been possible for someone of his cultivation rank, even for those with a genius-level talent and potential.
Cain could not help but compare it to the Ancestor Drop of the Blutlinie Race, a fragment of their creator that allowed members of the race to unleash battle power far beyond their natural limits.
Yet despite his excitement, Cain did not allow emotion to cloud his judgment. His mind remained cold and analytical as he observed every fluctuation in power, every movement of energy, and every interaction between the Chimera Will and the Inferno Daemon.
“It does not seem capable of granting control over a unique force like the Ancestor Drop,” Cain murmured to himself, his scarlet eyes narrowing. “However, this warrior is still weak, and the Chimera Will has yet to surpass the Prima Deity Rank. The true limits and abilities of this Path remain unknown.”
The moment he reached that conclusion, Cain transmitted a new command through the Primarch of Conquest.
Immediately, the Inferno Daemon’s aura erupted.
His eyes blazed with scarlet madness as he began burning his life force and soul force, channeling them directly into the Will Weapon. The transformation was immediate. The spear trembled violently, and the streams of water released by its strikes expanded into monstrous torrents capable of crushing mountains and severing space itself.
The increase in destructive might was astonishing.
That alone proved one crucial fact.
The new Path of Power merged perfectly with its wielder. The Chimera Will was not simply an external source of strength. It had become part of the warrior’s very existence, capable of drawing power from the body, soul, life force, cultivation, and even Laws with flawless efficiency.
It was not merely an enhancement.
It was evolution.
Cain watched in silence as the Inferno Daemon continued pushing himself further and further beyond his limits. The man’s skin cracked apart, blood pouring from every pore as his life force burned away at an alarming speed. Yet the power of the Will Weapon only continued to rise.
Finally, there was nothing left.
The Inferno Daemon’s body withered into ash, his soul collapsing entirely before being consumed by the Scarlet Throne alongside every remaining trace of his existence.
At the same moment, the soul embedded within the Evolved Scarlet Star also began to deteriorate. The heavenly body dimmed rapidly, losing the vibrant aura it had possessed moments earlier until it became little more than a lifeless shell floating in the scarlet sky.
Then—
“BOOM!”
The Scarlet Star shattered from within.
The Chimera Will burst free, roaring with fury as countless fused wills howled together in a single monstrous consciousness. Its aura surged wildly, powerful enough to crush ordinary Prima Deities through sheer pressure alone.
Unfortunately for the creature, that freedom lasted less than a second.
Cain merely waved his hand.
The Chimera Will exploded into fragments before dissolving back into the scarlet realm, its essence returning to nourish the Scarlet Throne.
Cain remained silent for several moments as the [A.I. Chip Module] analyzed every detail of the experiment.
“I have deciphered the method to forge the Chimera Will,” he finally said. “I understand how to grant the Scarlet Star the power to evolve and grow, and I have confirmed the means through which a warrior can channel its might.”
His gaze turned toward the remaining criminals imprisoned nearby.
“Now it is time to test the limitations.”
None of them would survive.
Cain had already decided that the moment he began these experiments. Every single one of them would be used until not a trace of uncertainty remained regarding the new Path of Power.
The experiments continued relentlessly.
More Scarlet Stars were forged.
More souls were implanted.
More Chimera Wills came into existence.
As the process advanced, the warriors bound to the Evolved Scarlet Stars became increasingly powerful. Their flesh, blood, and souls strengthened continuously as the Chimera Wills nourished them from within. Even their Ego Eternal Path of Power evolved rapidly, the Evolved Scarlet Stars drawing immense quantities of psychic energy from the Scarlet Throne and channeling it directly into their users.
The more Cain observed, the more extraordinary the Path appeared.
It enhanced nearly every aspect of cultivation.
Of course, that did not mean the warriors of the Nine Empyrean Suns Alliance could neglect their Astral and Essence Paths. Those two systems still possessed superior refinement in terms of bodily evolution, energy control, and mastery over Laws.
However, the new Path excelled in one particular aspect beyond all others.
Destruction.
The Chimera Will and its manifested weapon allowed warriors to channel the full power of their bodies, souls, and Laws into pure offensive might. It transformed them into living weapons capable of unleashing terrifying bursts of force far beyond their normal battle strength.
Yet despite the overwhelming success of the experiments, a serious problem eventually emerged.
Inside the Scarlet Throne, the warriors could summon their Chimera Wills freely and manifest their unique Will Weapons without issue.
Outside the Scarlet Throne, however, those powers vanished completely.
The warriors still retained the physical and spiritual enhancements granted by their Evolved Scarlet Stars, but they could no longer summon the Chimera Wills or access the weapons that formed the very core of the new Path of Power.
Cain’s expression darkened immediately.
The problem stemmed from the nature of the Scarlet Throne itself.
The Scarlet Stars possessed the ability to send souls into the throne through their connection to the Path of Conquest. However, the throne’s laws were designed to absorb and imprison. Taking something out of it violated the very principles upon which the realm existed.
Even Cain himself found such a feat difficult.
For ordinary warriors, it was impossible.
Cain frowned deeply as he considered the implications.
Future battles would take place across the void, on battlefields drenched in blood and fire, not within the Scarlet Throne. Without a way to bring the Chimera Wills outside, the entire Path would remain incomplete.
“I need a method that allows them to open a stable gate into the Scarlet Throne,” Cain muttered. “A gate capable of bringing their Chimera Wills into reality.”
But such a feat required an extraordinary source of power.
It demanded an energy carrying the essence of creation itself, something capable of stabilizing the connection between two entirely different realms.
Normally, that level of power could only be wielded freely by entities that had reached the Fourth Realm. Cain’s Primordial Body was still far from attaining such a stage.
Fortunately, he possessed another source.
Unfortunately, it was not one he wished to use.
A solemn expression appeared on Cain’s face as two moon-sized golden orbs emerged before him. They radiated boundless world energy and carried the sacred aura of creation itself.
They were the hearts of the two destroyed Empyrean Worlds.
The very foundations Cain intended to use one day to rebuild those fallen realms.
The energy inside them was more than sufficient to forge the gates required for the new Path of Power. Yet using that energy would inevitably weaken the restoration process of the destroyed worlds.
Cain remained silent for a long time as he analyzed every possible alternative through the [A.I. Chip Module].
None existed.
Only the cores of the fallen Empyrean Worlds possessed the necessary properties.
Eventually, Cain released a long sigh.
“As long as I do not damage their core essence, the worlds can still be restored,” he said quietly. “The only cost will be time.”
The moment he reached that conclusion, the hesitation in his eyes vanished.
Once the decision was made, Cain did not hesitate. He drew a small stream of golden energy from one of the Empyrean Hearts, handling it with extreme care so as not to damage the core essence of the fallen world.
The Power of Chaos flowed through the energy, refining and shaping it with flawless precision. Within minutes, a small gate manifested before him, a miniature replica of the Scarlet Throne itself, carrying the same ominous and majestic aura as the one hidden within the heart of the Primarch of Conquest.
Cain analyzed the gate for a moment before nodding in satisfaction.
Without wasting time, he pressed the miniature construct into the warrior’s chest. The gate merged directly with the man’s heart, fusing with his flesh, blood, and soul as though it had always been part of him.
Under the command of the Primarch of Conquest, the warrior extended his hand.
Immediately, the gate inside his heart opened.
Scarlet light erupted around him as the Chimera Will manifested behind his body for a brief instant before condensing into a terrifying weapon overflowing with destructive might.
“Perfect!” Cain shouted, unable to hide the thrill in his voice.
The amount of energy required from the Empyrean Heart had been incredibly small. At that rate, he could forge thousands of gates, enough to arm the entire Alliance with the new Path of Power while still preserving the future restoration of the fallen Empyrean Worlds.
Of course, Cain had no intention of wasting even a fraction of those precious gates.
The moment the criminal had fulfilled his purpose, Cain cast him into the Scarlet Throne, where his entire existence was devoured and recycled into the scarlet realm. Only the miniature gate remained behind, untouched and ready to be implanted into another warrior.
And Cain already knew the perfect person to become the first true warrior to walk this new Path of Power.
