Chapter 2617: The First (III)
Chapter 2617: The First (III)
Zarak could not help but frown as the Will Beast was sent into his Evolved Scarlet Star. He could clearly feel the dragon raging inside the heavenly body, struggling violently as it attempted to break free. Yet, although it was an ArchDeity-tier entity, the Evolved Scarlet Star had already surpassed that level after fusing with a fragment of Zarak’s soul, allowing it to restrain the creature without difficulty.
Unlike before, Cain had no intention of pushing this Evolved Scarlet Star to its breaking point.
On the contrary, he wanted everything to proceed perfectly.
His focus sharpened to the limit as the [A.I. Chip Module] analyzed every aspect of the process. He watched every fluctuation of energy, every ripple of instability, prepared to interfere at the slightest sign of danger.
Only after Zarak nodded did the two turn their attention back toward the scarlet realm in search of new Will Beasts.
While choosing the first core Will Beast had been extremely important, selecting the next ones was much easier. They still needed harmony and compatibility, but the foundation had already been established by the water dragon.
Under Zarak’s direction, Cain began drawing Will Beasts from every corner of the Scarlet Throne. One after another, the creatures were sent into the Evolved Scarlet Star, where they fused with the dragon and strengthened the Chimera Will.
Each fusion caused the Chimera Will to grow stronger.
And with every improvement, Zarak’s own power rose alongside it.
A smile filled with pure bliss appeared on the Godslayer Human’s face as he felt his cultivation and potential climbing rapidly. Although this new Path did not directly enhance his Astral Rebirth Path of Power, the increase in soul force greatly elevated his talent and allowed him to break through bottlenecks that had long restricted his growth.
As for his Ego Eternal Path of Power, the improvement was even more astonishing.
The strength of his Alter-Ego rose alongside the Evolved Scarlet Star, drastically increasing the might of his Liberación Total.
It did not take long before the Evolved Scarlet Star itself underwent tremendous changes.
Its scarlet surface split apart as vast rivers formed across the heavenly body. The waters carved through mountains, reshaped valleys, and transformed the environment while simultaneously harmonizing perfectly with it.
The entire heavenly body seemed to evolve into a living world of water.
However, the good news eventually came to a halt.
The Evolved Scarlet Star suddenly trembled violently, and a flash of pain crossed Zarak’s face as he grabbed his head.
Cain’s eyes sharpened immediately.
The Evolved Scarlet Star had grown at a terrifying speed, and the energy radiating from it was already nearing the Late ArchDeity Rank. Yet the Chimera Will sealed within had already surpassed that level.
If it continued to grow stronger, it would begin destroying the Evolved Scarlet Star from the inside.
Best-case scenario, Zarak would spend years repairing the damage before resuming his cultivation.
Worst-case scenario, he would die.
“I suppose we will have to stop for now,” Cain spoke in a solemn tone. “Your Evolved Scarlet Star needs time to adapt and grow before we continue strengthening the Chimera Will.”
Although slightly disappointed, Cain could not deny how impressive the results already were.
His battle strength should have risen by an entire stage already. He is likely nearing Peak ArchDeity battle power.
For an Early ArchDeity to wield such strength was monstrous.
Yet just as Cain believed they had reached the limit, Zarak’s eyes suddenly began glowing with radiant blue light.
The Godslayer Human took a deep breath before gazing into his Evolved Scarlet Star. His sight pierced through the heavenly body itself, locking directly onto the Chimera Will within.
The entity resembled a colossal blue wingless dragon with massive antler-like horns and white fur burning with mystical flames.
Its eyes glowed with the countless wills that formed it.
Every will was still present, all contained within a single vessel.
There was an overwhelming desire to break free, to shatter the cocoon restraining it. The pressure radiating from that willpower was enough to crush even mighty cultivators.
Yet Zarak did not waver.
He remained calm as he stared directly into the Chimera Will’s eyes.
Is he clashing against it?
The thought crossed Cain’s mind before immediately being dismissed.
No.
He is trying to communicate with it.
This was not communication through words, but through wills—something far more profound.
An invisible exchange of intent and desire unfolded between Zarak and the Chimera Will.
Cain remained completely silent, not daring to interfere.
This was not a battle that could be won through brute strength.
It was a clash of resolve.
Silence filled the Scarlet Throne as the blue light in Zarak’s eyes grew brighter and brighter.
Then, to Cain’s surprise, the Evolved Scarlet Star stabilized.
The violent tremors faded, and the signs of an imminent energy outbreak disappeared completely.
The Scarlet King turned toward Zarak with unconcealed astonishment.
Even he had not expected this outcome.
“What did you just do?” Cain asked.
Zarak smiled faintly.
“We reached an understanding,” he replied calmly. “We can continue.”
Cain stared at him for a moment before nodding slowly.
Now that the Chimera Will was no longer struggling to break free and releasing violent bursts of energy, they could continue the fusion process.
Carefully, they resumed selecting spirits from the Scarlet Throne, transforming them into Will Beasts before fusing them into the Chimera Will.
The process continued for quite some time.
The Chimera Will grew increasingly powerful, and the Evolved Scarlet Star continued expanding alongside it.
However, tremors eventually spread across the heavenly body once more.
Cain focused immediately and realized the Chimera Will remained completely peaceful.
The problem was no longer resistance.
It was endurance.
Even though the Chimera Will was no longer fighting to escape, its immense power still generated overwhelming pressure simply by existing. The Evolved Scarlet Star could no longer contain further growth.
Although they had finally reached the limit, wide smiles appeared on both Cain’s and Zarak’s faces.
Thanks to the understanding established between the Godslayer Human and the Chimera Will, they had managed to enhance the power of the Evolved Scarlet Star by another twenty-five percent.
And that was only the beginning.
Cain allowed Zarak time to stabilize his rising power, as the strength of his body, soul, and energy continued increasing at an astonishing rate. The growth granted by the Evolved Scarlet Star was immense, and even someone as experienced as Zarak required time to fully harmonize with it.
Only after the Godslayer Human completely stabilized his aura did he turn toward Cain and nod.
Taking a deep breath, Zarak extended his hand.
The next second, the Chimera Will manifested behind him.
The mighty dragon radiated overwhelming power, its roar echoing with the voices of the countless wills that had forged its existence. Rivers of spiritual water surged around the creature as its body twisted and compressed before finally transforming into a weapon.
A long saber appeared in Zarak’s grip.
Its blade was deep blue-black, covered in flowing wave-like patterns that seemed almost alive. The guard resembled coiling dragon horns, while spectral water constantly dripped from the sheath before evaporating into mist moments later. Faint dragon roars echoed from within the weapon, and streams of water naturally formed around it as though the saber itself controlled the tides.
Cain’s eyes sharpened immediately.
The moment the weapon appeared in Zarak’s grasp, the Godslayer Human’s aura exploded upward exponentially, instantly placing his battle power firmly within the Peak ArchDeity Rank.
Although the rise of Alpha Omega Overgods had diminished the importance of ArchDeities on the battlefield, their strength still remained a core component of the war—especially when participating in massive Runic Formations.
And this was far from the limit of the new Path of Power.
The Evolved Scarlet Star would continue growing stronger over time, which in turn would allow the Chimera Will to evolve further. That growth would constantly strengthen Zarak’s body, soul, energy, and willpower.
It was a complete Path of Power.
One capable of supporting a warrior all the way into the Alpha Omega Overgod Rank.
Perhaps even beyond, toward the Half-Step Fourth Realm.
“Well done, boy.”
Apex’s voice echoed inside the Scarlet King’s mind.
“This is impressive.”
Cain could not help but smile with pride.
The Scarlet King knew better than anyone how absurdly high Apex’s standards were. For someone like him to openly praise something meant the achievement was truly extraordinary.
Yet, just as the System Spirit and the Scarlet King believed the display worthy of admiration, Zarak had not finished.
The Godslayer Human lowered his gaze toward the saber in his hand.
A meaningful light appeared in his eyes.
Then he took things one step further.
The streams of water surrounding the blade suddenly intensified. The dragon’s roar inside the weapon grew louder and louder, until it sounded as though an ancient sea dragon were awakening from the depths of the abyss.
The pressure emanating from the saber made Cain’s eyes widen.
