The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2662: The Red King’s Power of Order

Chapter 2662: The Red King’s Power of Order

Cain saw something that did not make sense.

It was something that should not have existed within a phenomenon like the Endless River, the embodiment of the Flow.

"A core?"

A small frown appeared on his face.

The Flow was supposed to embody the interconnection of all things, a force in which every event, every life, every action, and every consequence held value within an infinite web of causality. Nothing within it should have been bound to a single point, because the very nature of the Flow was movement, connection, and endless continuity.

Yet the Red King’s Endless River had a focus.

At its center floated a small red core no larger than an apple, yet despite its modest size, it generated a pull powerful enough to control every stream within this artificial river. All currents were forced to pass through it, revolving constantly in an endless cycle as though the entire phenomenon existed only to empower and obey that single point.

Cain’s eyes narrowed as he stared at it.

"The Flow is a Fourth Realm Force, one that might even reach the highest echelon of that realm. What kind of power could alter it in such a fundamental way?"

The question echoed through his mind, filling him with perplexity and awe, yet deep down, he already had an answer.

He moved closer to the red core.

The nearer he came, the clearer the truth became. Finally, when he stood within arm’s reach of it, enlightenment and clarity appeared in his eyes.

"Order."

The core that controlled this artificial Endless River had been forged with the Power of Order.

Cain’s expression became solemn.

The Power of Order was a force that continued to baffle him. It was the power that had saved his life during the earliest part of his journey, and it had aided him many times in some of his most dangerous battles. Yet despite everything it had done for him, it remained the force he feared the most.

Suddenly, his eyes narrowed as a white gate appeared beside the red core.

No voice emerged.

No instructions were given.

Yet Cain immediately understood its purpose.

"That gate will lead me outside the Sacred Dimension. It seems I have advanced enough for my life to be spared, but not enough to move into the next ring."

His gaze shifted away from the white gate and returned to the core.

The principles and power behind it were not hidden. On the contrary, they were displayed openly, easy to perceive, almost like a manual left behind for those who reached this point.

"If I want to move to the Ninth Ring, I need to forge a core of my own."

That answer did not reassure Cain.

The trial was asking him to use the Power of Order at an incredibly high and pure level, perhaps even to recreate the fundamental principle through which the Red King had dominated this artificial Endless River.

Cain knew very well what it meant to fall into Order, especially after spending time with his brother.

His mind would change.

His will would change.

Everything and everyone he considered as important as his own life would become numbers in a calculation. There would be no hesitation to abandon them if the balance of cost and reward declared it necessary. Love, loyalty, friendship, and responsibility would all be transformed into variables subordinate to a single purpose.

He could not allow that.

Fortunately, there was another path.

Cain took a deep breath and brought his hands together as scarlet flames ignited within his golden eyes.

Using Order was out of the question.

At such a high level, that power would transform him into someone else entirely. However, everything Order could accomplish, Chaos could also achieve in its own way, and unlike Order, Chaos would not sever the bonds he had forged with those he loved and protected.

In Paradise, Cain had already managed to merge Chaos and the Flow, but what stood before him now was something entirely different.

This was not a crude fusion.

It was not simply layering one force over the other.

It was the complete transcendence of both powers, the forging of something far greater than the sum of its parts.

Cain focused on the red core with absolute concentration, using everything he possessed to unravel the deepest mysteries hidden within it before attempting to adapt those principles to the Power of Chaos.

The Power of Order marked the self as the center of all things.

Under its influence, you became the core of reality, the point around which existence revolved. Your will gave purpose to the universe, and everything around you existed solely to help you move forward. Although it was an incredibly solitary path, it also granted terrifying freedom, because there were no bonds left to restrain the mind, heart, or soul. With nothing holding you back, you could push through obstacles that others could never overcome.

It was through that philosophy that the Red King’s Order Core dominated the artificial Endless River.

It redirected all causality through itself, allowing the one who controlled it to harness the power of the universe and everything around them at a level far beyond ordinary comprehension.

The Power of Chaos, on the other hand, was all about connection.

The self could still stand at the center of all things, but that center did not exist to dominate. It existed because of the bonds surrounding it. Every life connected to Cain had value not because it served him, but because it mattered to him. Those bonds were not chains, nor were they weaknesses. They were bridges through which strength, hope, fear, love, hatred, dreams, and determination could flow together.

Through Chaos, power was not taken by force.

It was shared.

It was harmonized.

It was born from understanding the fears and desires of others, from accepting the faith they placed upon him, and from letting them know that he would stand by their side even when the universe itself collapsed around them.

The scarlet flames in Cain’s eyes grew stronger and stronger.

Faces began to cross his mind.

First came his family.

The women he loved.

The sons who looked up to him.

The brothers he had forged through blood, battle, and destiny.

Then came his friends, his comrades, his teachers, his disciples, and even those he had only met briefly across his long journey.

They all mattered.

They all had weight.

They had entrusted him with their hopes, their futures, and sometimes their very lives. That faith carried an immense responsibility, one that Cain had accepted without regret, and it was precisely that responsibility that had helped him break his limits again and again.

Order declared that all things existed to empower the self.

Chaos declared that the self existed to protect the bonds that gave all things meaning.

The red core before him revolved with absolute authority, forcing the artificial Endless River to obey a single center.

Cain would not imitate it.

He would surpass it in his own way.

Slowly, a scarlet dot of light appeared between his hands.

It was small.

Fragile.

Almost insignificant compared to the red core floating before him.

Yet the moment it manifested, the artificial Endless River trembled.
