The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2670: Meylin vs Nito (II)

Chapter 2670: Meylin vs Nito (II)

Meylin could feel it.

Every instinct within her screamed that this was not a battle she should face. The danger before her was too great. Her intuition, sharpened by the Flow and strengthened by her ever-growing cultivation, warned her that the existence standing before her had already stepped beyond the limits of the Third Realm.

Yet there was not the slightest hesitation in her eyes.

She took a deep breath, and the Flame of Hope ignited with unprecedented brilliance. Starlight and golden radiance enveloped her body as she shot forward like a falling star, leaving behind a trail of dazzling flames.

In less than a heartbeat, she was already before Nito.

Longinus descended.

The divine blade carried enough power to sunder reality itself, while its speed reached such terrifying heights that even most Alpha Omega Overgods would perceive nothing more than a flash of light.

Yet, at the very last instant, Nito leaned slightly to one side.

The blade missed him by less than an inch.

His eyes remained calm.

A strange smile lingered on his lips.

Meylin’s eyes narrowed.

Before her sword had even completed its downward swing, her body trembled. Flesh, blood, and soul shifted in perfect harmony as a second body split away from the first. The original body continued the slash, while the newly formed one lunged from an impossible angle, driving Longinus directly toward Nito’s heart.

The True Depravita had literally divided herself in two, discarding the original body’s momentum to create an unavoidable killing strike.

It was a technique that defied common sense.

Yet even then, the smile on Nito’s face never faded.

His body twisted in an impossible manner, bending far beyond what any Third Realm life form should have been capable of. The sword thrust grazed his armor before slipping harmlessly past him.

Meylin’s pupils contracted.

Without missing a beat, she continued her assault.

Harnessing the full potential of her True Depravita Body, she repeatedly reforged her own flesh. Every movement created another version of herself, each one attacking from a different angle before dissolving back into flames.

Her attacks became faster.

Sharper.

More unpredictable.

Longinus transformed into countless streaks of starlight that crisscrossed the heavens. Every thrust split the sky apart, while every slash generated shockwaves powerful enough to make entire continents tremble.

And yet...

Every single attack missed.

No matter how impossible the angle.

No matter how overwhelming the speed.

No matter how perfectly timed the strike.

Nito always remained one step ahead.

Meylin’s golden eyes glowed brighter as the principles of the Flow surged through her consciousness. Every failed strike became another opportunity to analyze her opponent. She studied every movement, every shift in his muscles, every fluctuation in the surrounding laws.

Finally, understanding dawned upon her.

"His speed..." she thought.

Her grip on Longinus tightened.

"His agility has already reached the Fourth Realm."

The realization sent a chill through her heart.

Among all physical attributes, speed was perhaps the most terrifying to face. Strength could be blocked. Endurance could be overcome. Vitality could be exhausted.

But speed decided whether a battle could even begin.

If she could not hit him, nothing else mattered.

Still, Meylin did not panic.

Every distracting thought vanished from her mind.

Fear.

Doubt.

Frustration.

All of it disappeared.

Only a single purpose remained.

Find a way to strike an enemy whose movements had already surpassed the limits of the universe.

Fortunately, Nito seemed to have no intention of attacking.

He merely continued dodging every strike with effortless precision.

Under normal circumstances, such behavior would have been deeply humiliating.

To ignore one’s opponent and refuse to counterattack was the ultimate display of superiority.

Yet Meylin saw an opportunity instead.

"If he wants to show off," she thought calmly, "then I’ll make him regret it."

The light within her eyes intensified.

The Flame of Hope erupted with renewed brilliance.

Every swing of Longinus now unleashed enormous arcs of starlight that spread across the battlefield like radiant crescents. The attacks no longer targeted only Nito. They carved through vast sections of the sky, limiting the space he could use to evade.

Nito dashed from one point to another with unbelievable speed, leaving behind countless afterimages as he narrowly avoided each expanding arc.

Even then...

He remained untouched.

The peaceful smile never left his face.

However, the cracks along the corner of his face deepened.

The skin continued peeling away, slowly revealing something hidden beneath.

Soon the battlefield transformed into an ocean of starlight flames.

Countless streams of fire spread through the heavens until Nito disappeared completely from sight.

The flames danced across the sky, each one carrying Meylin’s aura.

As a True Depravita, she possessed absolute control over her own existence.

She could flawlessly conceal herself among the sea of flames, making every spark feel identical to her true presence.

Losing sight of one’s opponent in such circumstances was fatal.

Even Alpha Omega Overgods would hesitate.

Yet Nito remained perfectly composed.

His senses expanded silently.

He trusted his speed.

He trusted that he could react to anything.

Suddenly, a sharp glimmer flashed through his eyes.

Without hesitation, he stepped three paces backward while twisting his body to the left.

Longinus erupted from the sea of flames, slicing through the exact space where his neck had been only an instant earlier.

The blade missed.

Yet just as Nito completed his dodge...

He saw it.

A smile.

A radiant smile had appeared on Meylin’s face.

Before he could understand its meaning, seven powerful presences erupted around him simultaneously.

Each of them carried Meylin’s aura.

Seven figures emerged from the sea of flames, surrounding him from every direction.

Each one resembled Meylin perfectly.

Yet each bore a different expression.

One overflowed with overwhelming pride.

Another radiated insatiable envy.

One burned with uncontrollable wrath.

Sloth, lust, gluttony, and greed manifested.

The Seven Deadly Sins.

They were the very foundation upon which Meylin had forged the Flame of Hope. Rather than rejecting those sins, she had transformed them into a final blow.

Now she unleashed them together.

The seven phantoms moved simultaneously.

Their bodies dissolved into enormous crystalline spears of starlight.

Seven divine spikes pierced toward Nito from every conceivable angle.

For the first time since the battle had begun...

He failed to dodge.

The seven spears pierced through his flesh.

One nailed his shoulder.

Another pierced his thigh.

Three drove through his torso.

The remaining weapons locked his arms in place before pinning him firmly against the fractured sky itself.

For the first time...

The smile disappeared from Nito’s face.

Surprise filled his eyes.

It was only for a brief instant, but it was real.

Meylin had finally forced him into a mistake.

She did not waste the opportunity.

The Flame of Hope exploded with overwhelming brilliance.

Every ounce of power she possessed poured into Longinus.

The sword hummed as the surrounding laws bent toward it. Golden streams of the Flow converged upon its blade, while countless stars seemed to answer its call.

A terrifying vortex of power formed around Meylin.

Even the warriors battling below instinctively looked upward as they felt the overwhelming pressure gathering in the heavens.

Meylin raised Longinus high above her head.

Her eyes blazed with unwavering determination.

This single strike could decide everything.

With a thunderous cry, she brought the sword down.

"Final Slash..."

The heavens trembled.

"End of Despair!"
