Chapter 2677: The end of Nito and the awakening of...

Nito’s left eye was filled with confusion.

His state of mind had clearly become unstable as he found himself standing within a celestial body that seemed to surpass the very rules of reality governing the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe.

The right Eye of Origin, however, showed neither hesitation nor fear. There was only absolute focus and determination within it. This terrifying awareness seemed capable of reaching beyond time itself and standing firm against events that could bring about the end of entire universes.

All the while, the Samsara Eye continued to unleash its power, accelerating the peeling of Nito’s old face.

The Curse Eater could feel it.

There were only minutes left before his will and ego were completely eroded, replaced by the ancient essence contained within the Samsara Eye. His identity was being consumed piece by piece, and soon there might be nothing left of the Nito who had once existed.

Yet even in that chaotic state of mind, he was able to hold onto one thought.

’The King’s order.’

’I will succeed.’

Nito roared as he accepted his fate.

As though responding to his determination, the Samsara Eye blazed with terrifying light, and his body flashed forward. At the same time, the white blade of Origin grew sharper, its edge carrying an authority that seemed capable of cutting through the foundations of existence itself.

Cain felt the overwhelming power rushing toward him.

The hand holding the Blade of End trembled, not from fear, but from the immense strain on his body. His newly evolved Arch-Nephilim Body was powerful enough to surpass the limits of the Third Realm, yet even it was struggling to contain the forces he was channeling.

His grip tightened.

The destructive power coursing through the Blade of End surged.

Cain saw it.

The new face emerging across Nito’s head.

An expression of absolute determination appeared in the Scarlet King’s eyes.

"I need to win now!"

The instant that thought crossed his mind, scarlet flames erupted within his pupils. His soul force and willpower ignited like a star entering its final stage of collapse, sending a massive wave of power through his entire body.

This was his final burst.

One last push before his body reached its limit.

The two warriors collided once more.

There was no explosion.

No thunder.

No spectacular burst of energy.

The phenomenon called the White Abyss swallowed everything they unleashed, devouring the shockwaves and preventing their power from escaping into the surrounding void. As a result, the warriors of the Nine Empyrean Suns Alliance and the Curse Eaters were able to watch the battle without being blinded or overwhelmed by its aftermath.

Inside the White Abyss, the fight became a blur.

The black Blade of End and the milky-white Blade of Origin collided at speeds so terrifying that even Fourth Realm perception could barely follow them.

Every swing was powerful enough to cut an Alpha Omega Overgod apart as though it were made of paper, yet the two warriors exchanged dozens of attacks within every breath.

Their combat skill was equally astonishing.

Cain twisted his body at an impossible angle, using his crystalline wings to glide around the edge of the Blade of Origin before twisting his waist and slashing across Nito’s chest.

A jet of dark blood erupted from the Curse Eater.

Yet Nito immediately used the opening against him.

His body rotated, and his leg lashed forward with terrifying precision, striking Cain directly in the head.

BOOM!

The Arch-Nephilim was blasted across the White Abyss.

Cain’s body crashed against the boundary of the phenomenon and bounced away, the impact driving the air from his lungs.

Even though the White Abyss was an energy phenomenon in which they could move almost freely, its boundary was harder than anything Cain had encountered before.

He barely had time to register the pain before Nito appeared directly before him.

The white blade descended toward his head.

There was nowhere to dodge.

Cain made a split-second decision.

Instead of retreating, he flashed forward.

The Blade of Origin carved through his face, opening a deep wound across his flesh, but the Arch-Nephilim used his entire body as a battering ram, driving his shoulder directly into Nito’s chest.

The impact ruptured the Curse Eater’s internal organs and sent him flying backward.

Nito coughed blood.

Yet he clenched his teeth and forced himself back into the fight almost immediately.

Neither warrior slowed.

They moved faster.

Then faster still.

One became a beam of darkness carrying the destructive end of all things, while the other became a beam of blinding white light carrying the authority of Origin itself. Their movements became so fast that even time seemed unable to keep up.

Dozens of afterimages appeared throughout the White Abyss.

It looked as though countless versions of Cain and Nito were fighting simultaneously, each one moving according to a different possible sequence of events.

Meylin’s pupils were wide.

She was exhausted.

Her body desperately demanded rest, yet she could not take her eyes away from the battle.

Her current strength allowed her to understand what she was witnessing far better than the other warriors, and that only made the situation more terrifying.

She understood that a single mistake could result in Cain’s death.

There was nothing she could do in her current condition.

So she remained where she was and watched.

No matter what path Cain chose, she would follow him to the very end.

Inside the White Abyss, Cain’s blood continued to spill.

His body was approaching its absolute limit.

He could feel it clearly.

There was only enough power remaining within him for one final full-strength strike.

If that attack failed...

There would be no second chance.

"Wait for it..."

Cain’s eyes remained fixed on Nito.

"Wait for it..."

The Curse Eater continued attacking without mercy.

"Wait for it..."

Nito’s smile grew wider as he felt victory drawing closer.

His leg crashed into Cain’s abdomen, sending the Scarlet King rolling uncontrollably through the White Abyss.

Nito immediately pursued.

"I am going to win!"

The words erupted within his mind as the light within his left eye burned brighter.

He wanted to experience the moment his blade finally cut down his enemy.

He wanted to feel the sensation of victory.

He wanted to complete the Tenth Empyrean World King’s order.

"NOW!"

Cain’s eyes suddenly erupted with golden radiance.

The power of the Flow exploded through his body with greater force than ever before.

He moved.

Not backward.

Forward.

He appeared directly above Nito, the Blade of End raised high over his head.

For the first time, Nito showed genuine shock.

The Arch-Nephilim had appeared before him almost instantly.

Panic overwhelmed the Curse Eater as he forced his body to react outside of the control of the Samsara Eye.

The white Blade of Origin swung upward.

Pain exploded through Cain’s body as the blade cut across his lower torso and ripped off his left arm.

The power of Origin negated his natural healing and regeneration, leaving devastating wounds across his flesh.

Yet the attack was not fatal.

Cain did not stop.

"Scarlet End!"

His roar shook the White Abyss.

The Blade of End descended with every ounce of strength remaining within his body.

Then came a sound that was impossible to describe.

"ZNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!"

Silence spread across the universe.

The Blade of End did not merely strike Nito.

It cut through the White Abyss itself.

A black line appeared across the celestial phenomenon.

The entire White Abyss split in two.

Nito’s eyes widened.

The Eye of Origin trembled for the first time.

"Impo..."

His voice failed as his body was sundered from the head to the waist.
