The Evolution Of A Goblin To The Peak

Chapter 1323: Great Shen Empire: 'Night Overlord' Souta

Chapter 1323: Great Shen Empire: ‘Night Overlord’ Souta

Isabella looked at Eztein and said, “Sorry, I’m late. I sent my sister away from this battle, so forgive me.”

Eztein stared blankly at her for a moment before shaking his head.

“It’s fine…”

He realized that Isabella had reached the Eight Shackle Realm faster than him.

She’s really talented, just like Souta said.

Souta had once said that Isabella was the most talented person in all of Astros.

Cough!

Eztein spat out a mouthful of blood, feeling excruciating pain throughout his entire body. He could barely endure it.

Isabella appeared beside Eztein, and a bottle of potion appeared in her hand.

“This will help heal some of your wounds. I can see that your parasite is exhausted, so you can have this potion,” she said.

Eztein nodded and took the potion.

“Thanks.”

“You can rest for a while,” Isabella said.

She placed a hand on his shoulder and teleported him away from the battlefield.

Without Ice Death to restrict her spatial movements, she could now freely teleport other people.

Isabella took a deep breath, feeling exhausted. She straightened herself and turned her head, scanning the surroundings.

Doranjan and Vashno were fighting Teng Guan, Poisonous Vine, and six Eight Shackle Realm experts, while Yaniesvyl was being overwhelmed by two Eight Shackle Realm experts.

‘I’ll help her…’

She knew who needed the most help in this battle.

Yaniesvyl was only at the Seventh Shackle Realm. She was covered in blood, desperately enduring the attacks of two Eight Shackle Realm experts. She was strong, but it wasn’t enough to defeat both of them.

‘It’s going to take a while… Those two are still at their peak, with only minor injuries.’

Eztein had managed to injure his opponents and damage their minds. That was why Isabella had been able to arrive without them noticing her presence. Their weakened mental state had left them vulnerable to a sneak attack.

Yaniesvyl’s opponents were different. They had suffered little to no injuries, so Isabella’s tactics for assassinating Eztein’s opponents wouldn’t work against them. Moreover, she wasn’t at her peak anymore.

If she had been at her best, she could have disposed of them within three to five minutes.

Meanwhile, at the border of the northern region.

Souta was flying several kilometers above the ground at high speed. He had just entered the territory of the Great Shen Empire.

The northern region was at war with multiple sects from outside the empire. The land was engulfed in chaos, but Souta didn’t care about it at all. His goal was the central region, which should be the main battlefield of this ongoing conflict.

He didn’t know the full details, but he knew that this battle would escalate. By the time it ended, the Great Shen Empire would likely be reduced to nothing.

Souta raised his head and glanced at the sky.

“I wonder if they’ll arrive in time… I’ve already cast the die. There’s no turning back now.”

The remnants of the Gluttony Army, the experts from the Holy Land, and those outsiders…

Everything was moving as he had expected.

“I will create a stage that will turn everything.”

Was his strength enough for this? No, but it would be soon.

He had three clones in total.

One was left in the Blood Realm, the second was in Asgard, and the third was outside Imperium.

Everyone was preparing for his plan.

Of course, there were many variables that could change his plan, but he would adjust accordingly when the time came.

‘All my clones are doing well… It’s time for me to reap the benefits.’

A semi-transparent screen appeared in his vision.

[You’ve cleared the Dungeon of Trickery!]

[You’ve completed the Quest ‘Defeat the Flaming Mother Moth’!]

[You’ve killed an Initial Fifth Stage Monster!]

[You’ve killed a Peak Fourth Stage Monster!]

Numerous notifications appeared on the screen. Even without checking the interface, he knew that he had gained a lot simply because of his direct connection to his clones.

“I fell into slumber for four months, and my strength remained stagnant during that time. A lot of people improved by leaps and bounds in those four months.”

Souta closed his eyes, and the number of his skill points appeared in his mind.

‘Kessa is currently at the Advanced Stage. Frieda is at the Intermediate Ninth Shackle, while the rest are only at the Initial Ninth Shackle. Frieda is close to reaching the Advanced Stage, and some of the Blood Saints are still in denial.’

People respected you based on your ability to influence your surroundings.

In this world, the weak respected the strong.

“Well, it’s time to raise it. I will catch up to those prodigies and veteran experts. I want the remnants of the Gluttony Army for myself.”

When Souta opened his eyes, all the skill points vanished.

He would soon reach an uncharted territory that he had never seen in the game.

[You’ve leveled up your class!]

[You’ve leveled up your class!]

When the last bit of skill points disappeared, a series of notifications appeared on the interface.

[You’re eligible for Class Promotion!]

[Great Battle Mage will undergo a transformation, reaching a Tier 4 Class, the highest level of Class!]

[Only one Tier 4 Class is available to you!]

[Night Overlord]!

[Please wait for a moment!]

[Transitioning to Night Overlord Class!]

Souta didn’t stop flying, but he slowed down for a moment. He felt a flood of information enter his mind as his energy became uncontrollable for a brief second.

Bang!!

That single second shook the entire area within a radius of two kilometers. The people and monsters in the area couldn’t help but look up and shudder.

“What is this…?”

Souta was surprised by what he found.

[You’ve successfully changed your class to Night Overlord!]

[Darkness Element damage has increased by 100%!]

[You’ve gained 1,000 Health Points, 1,000 Energy, +200 Strength, +200 Agility, +200 Stamina, +100 Defense, +50 Health and Energy Regeneration per second, and 1% Resistance to Law based damage!]

[New skills have been added to the Skill Tree!]

[Forbidden Spell: Darkness Consume!]

[Forbidden Spell: Dark Tide!]

[Darker Than Black!]

[Black Sea Stride!]

[Divine Shadow Skin]!

All five of these were extremely powerful skills. They weren’t Archetypes, but they were nevertheless incomparably powerful ultimate skills.

But these five skills weren’t what surprised him. What truly shocked him was the information that flooded his mind when he was promoted to the Night Overlord Class.

They were memories.

Memories of the real Night Overlord.

The Night Overlord was a powerful expert who had failed his apotheosis. He had become a Demigod without any hope of ascending to Godhood. Despite that, the Night Overlord never gave up. He continued training his skills and tempering his body, hoping that one day he would be able to rival those so-called Gods and Monster Lords.

Souta received all of the Night Overlord’s memories.

If an ordinary person received a lifetime’s worth of memories all at once, their mind would undoubtedly collapse. However, Souta wasn’t an ordinary person. He was an Emperor and a Fifth Stage Monster.

He could easily process such an enormous amount of memories within a minute.

“So this is a Tier 4 Class… I received all of the Night Overlord’s knowledge.”

Souta’s eyes flashed with darkness.

His Douion was a fusion of his elemental powers and Dream Power. They had always remained balanced, but now, that balance had become unstable due to the massive enhancement of his darkness element.

Without his Douion, his darkness element alone was already comparable to Fourth Stage elemental power.

So powerful…

He felt that with his current strength, he could easily defeat the Ninth Shackle Realm experts of the Creasant Republic, even without relying on the special prowess of his Third Eye.

Initial Ninth Shackle experts would be easy for him now.

Even without relying on the Blessings, he could dismantle two or three of them by himself.

“However, I need to adjust first. The combat style of the Night Overlord is different from mine. There are similarities, but my mannerisms are different.”

Souta continued flying while reviewing the information he had received.

The five skills that had been added to the Skill Tree could be unlocked using skill points. It was the same as before, but by unlocking all the skills and upgrading them to the maximum level, he would be able to start a new class.

“It’s good that I’m headed for battle now… A life-and-death battle can help me adjust faster.”

There was something that was bothering him.

From the Night Overlord’s memories, he seemed to have come from a different era… An era far removed from the current one. It was incredibly ancient, as even the names of the higher beings were different.

The seven continents of Imperium were still the same, but the major factions ruling each continent were completely different.

What was terrifying was that the Night Overlord came from the Frozen Continent, and this continent was ruled by a single major faction that controlled the entire land.

It had only a little more than twenty God-rank experts, yet it was still able to control an entire continent.

No… It was the same for the other continents as well.

The number of Gods and Monster Lords back then was incredibly small compared to the current era.

Thanks for reading and I hope you like it.
