Chapter 352: The Gods Start To Battle (2)
Chapter 352: The Gods Start To Battle (2)
The Goddess’s appearance sent shockwaves rippling across the battlefield.
The moment the divine entity descended, the very world began to tremble beneath her presence. Her expression was empty—cold, detached, utterly beyond mortal comprehension.
There was no anger in her gaze, no hatred nor mercy, only an indifferent transcendence that made all living things feel insignificant.
She looked down upon the masses, particularly those who stood with the Solaris House. Almost instantly, anyone who dared meet her eyes felt their existence being swallowed whole. Their souls trembled as though they stood before the embodiment of annihilation itself.
The Goddess’s mere presence threatened to vaporise them entirely, forcing countless soldiers to collapse to their knees in desperate repentance. Had they remained exposed to her divine aura for even a few moments longer, their bodies and spirits alike would have been erased from existence.
Fortunately, it never came to that.
From the depths of the Solaris House, two colossal pillars of light erupted into the heavens.
One shimmered with intertwined gold and silver radiance. As its brilliance washed over the battlefield, the crushing pressure that had suffocated the defending army instantly eased. Soldiers gasped as though released from the grip of death itself, their eyes instinctively turning toward the source of salvation.
From within the divine radiance emerged a valiant figure clad in black and gold.
With Amon now standing at the absolute peak of his power, he resembled the incarnation of a perfect Solaris deity.
Towering at nearly two metres tall, his physique was chiselled and powerful, every movement carrying overwhelming divinity.
Golden energy coursed through his veins while his very presence distorted the surrounding space, as though gravity itself bent to acknowledge his existence.
The prodigy had finally fulfilled his destined potential.
At this moment, Amon stood as the greatest being the Solaris House had ever produced—surpassing even the Founder and the Saint who once shaped the dynasty’s glory.
Yet he did not stand alone.
From the second pillar of light descended a transcendental beauty.
She emerged, draped in flowing fairy linen, her snow-white hair dancing amid the radiant storm, while ruby-red eyes gleamed with dangerous allure.
If Amon embodied domination and divine authority, the woman beside him radiated irresistible temptation. Her beauty was almost supernatural, capable of luring even the coldest-hearted man into a false sense of safety before destroying him with a single smile.
But beneath that breathtaking elegance lay something infinitely more terrifying.
Mystery.
The fabric of space and time twisted subtly around her, revealing her supreme mastery over the laws of spacetime. Every step she took caused reality to ripple like water disturbed by an unseen force.
Together, the two stood before the Goddess in open defiance.
And all who witnessed the scene were left utterly spellbound.
For this was no longer merely a war to defend Solfea.
This was the birth of a new pantheon.
A new generation of Gods standing against the old.
"You finally showed yourself... Hyades."
"..."
Yue glared at the deity who inhabited Ellahan’s body. Yue couldn’t count the number of times she had cursed the Goddess, both in her past life and this one.
When she was blissfully unaware, Yue blamed all of her sufferings on the invading Demons. It was only after she was enlightened to the truth by the Mysterious Grimoire that she finally understood the source of all her suffering.
It wasn’t the invading Demons. And it wasn’t the Prophet who caused it all.
But the Goddess whom the world worshipped.
Time and time again, Yue posed the question to herself.
Why?
Why did the Goddess open the doors to her dimension and invite the Demons to invade?
Why did she cause the annihilation of humanity, going so far as to support the Demons openly?
Why did Hyades... cause the death of the man she loved?
Yue never got her answers from the Goddess, no matter how hard she prayed. It was only after she got the Mysterious Grimoire and inherited the Will of Heaven that she finally got a semblance of a guess.
But it didn’t matter anymore... for now, she was going against that exact same Goddess.
"Amon, let’s do as planned."
"... are you confident in challenging the Goddess?"
"Don’t worry, I can handle her."
Yue declared with the utmost confidence. She wasn’t overestimating herself. Ever since she’d regressed, Yue had been preparing for the eventual clash with Hyades. She knew her limitations.
And besides, the plan wasn’t to defeat Hyades, but to hold her off.
That was until...
While the Goddess made her grand appearance, the entity allied with her in this war revealed himself as well.
Unlike the overwhelming descent of the divine trio, his arrival was subtle—almost understated.
A dense shroud of grey mist rolled across the battlefield before parting to reveal a well-dressed man clad in an immaculate ash-coloured suit. His polished shoes touched the ruined earth without a sound, and his composed demeanour stood in eerie contrast to the chaos surrounding him.
He calmly retrieved a cigar, igniting it with a snap of his fingers before placing it between his lips. The ember glowed softly in the darkness.
Taking a slow drag, the man exhaled a stream of smoke that twisted like wandering spirits around his body. His ghostly eyes drifted across the battlefield, observing the three deities confronting one another in the heavens above.
Then, with utter disdain, he curled his lips into a derisive sneer.
As though the spectacle before him was nothing more than a childish performance.
"The old and new Gods of this dimension sure like to be flashy."
"... Prophet."
At long last, the Prophet made his grand appearance. As the one ordained by the Demon King, he was the most dangerous entity within the Demon Empire. His current might was no less than that of the Demon Prince that Amon fought, perhaps even greater.
Shrouded with demonic divinity, even if the Goddess wished to harm and expel him from the dimension, she couldn’t do so without expending some sort of effort.
That was how elevated the Prophet’s status was.
Hyades looked back at the newcomer with a salty look before gradually losing interest. Although she was allied with the Demon Empire this time, once Amon and Yue were eradicated, she would direct all of her forces to challenge the Prophet and the invading demons.
"Hyades, remember our deal."
"..."
The Goddess didn’t respond to the Prophet; she looked straight ahead at her two opponents. It didn’t take her long to identify her target. The one wielding the dastardly Will of Heaven that started this entire predicament in the first place.
The one who escaped Fate and reversed time to challenge her authority.
"I will eradicate the Will of Heaven. You deal with the Judicator."
"Heh, you sure you won’t need our help?"
"Watch yourself, Demon!"
The Goddess didn’t need to reply, for the Pope spoke on her behalf. She bellowed from her golden chariot as the staff holding the combined faith of the Holy Church gleamed with Holy Power.
"I will smite you if you dare disrespect our lord and saviour!"
"Shush, the adults are talking."
The Prophet rested his index finger on his lips, creating a dense deluge of grey mist to descend upon the Pope. She attempted to break free, but the mist was far too suffocating. If she allowed the mist to continue proliferating, her lungs would collapse, and her divine energy would have corroded from the overwhelming demonic mana.
But before that could happen, the Goddess waved her arm.
"Joroxin, do not cross a line."
The Goddess stopped the Prophet from causing any more damage to her forces and stared him down.
"Hah, I know when I’m beat."
The Prophet removed his attention from the Goddess and the Pope, who was gasping for air. Then his attention was focused on the man who was currently staring him down as a black blade gleamed with vicious killing intent.
Throughout his long existence in the Hyades realm, the Prophet had been preparing to take over the planet. But time and time again, his plan had been foiled by the man standing right in front of him.
Amon Solaris.
The eternal thorn in his flesh.
"I will face the bear."
With that, the two vanished, accelerating at such terrifying speeds that their figures became little more than distorted streaks across the sky.
The Prophet moved first.
He shot toward Amon like a demonic comet, black divinity engulfing his right arm in violent torrents. The moment his fist collided with Amon’s obsidian blade, a catastrophic backlash erupted outward. The shockwave split the heavens and tore across the battlefield below with enough force to part the seas themselves.
Before the scattered energy had even settled, the Prophet raised his hand and released a dense, unnatural mist.
It swallowed both of them whole.
The fog spread with impossible speed, severing them from the outside world.
Amon immediately attempted to dispel it, but before he could unleash his power, the surrounding reality twisted violently around him. In the blink of an eye, he found himself standing within another dimension. It resembled the mirror dimension once wielded by Yue—an isolated realm detached from the laws of the mortal world.
Endless darkness stretched in every direction while fractured reflections shimmered across the void like broken glass suspended in space. Realising he had been dragged into a sealed battlefield with the Prophet, Amon narrowed his eyes coldly at the demon before him.
At once, Lunar divinity surged through his veins.
Silver radiance erupted from his body as overwhelming celestial power flooded the isolated realm, causing the dimension itself to tremble beneath his wrath.
All while the Prophet watched on with great interest.
Smiling from ear to ear, the Prophet laughed as he teased.
"And to kill the bear... You must first catch him in a trap."
