Chapter 2159: Chapter 2159: Private Talk (3)
"I’ll go too." Yu Qingge hurried over, "Sister, I’ll be your maid."
Yang Ruxin glanced at Chai Qin: "You stay in the courtyard to serve your husband." Giving her a chance, let’s see if she’ll make a move.
Chai Qin was delighted in her heart and quickly nodded: "Yes."
Gu Qingheng frowned but said nothing, just draped a cloak over her: "The night is chilly."
The Moon Viewing Pavilion at Ziyu Villa was built on a small hillside with an excellent location, allowing a clear view of the entire layout of Ziyu Villa.
However, the late autumn nights were indeed somewhat cold. Walking along the path with Doukou, Yang Ruxin could feel a trace of coolness.
To her surprise, the pavilion was surrounded by glass-pane windows, allowing one to enjoy the view without feeling cold.
Doukou opened the curtain: "Miss, Madam Gu is here." Then she ushered Yang Ruxin and Yu Qingge into the pavilion.
Li Mingyin was seated inside the pavilion, a tea set laid out on the stone table before her, and beside it was a small red clay stove, with the fire roaring and the water on top already boiling.
"This is wild tea, picked from the Wolong Mountain behind us." Li Mingyin glanced up at Yang Ruxin, indicating for her to sit down, "The taste is a bit bitter at first, but it quickly turns sweet with a lingering flavor. But it does require boiling water to brew." As she spoke, she took the small red clay pot from the stove and poured it into the teapot. After the Phoenix Three Nods, she poured the tea into cups, "This tea doesn’t need rinsing, try it." She also gave a cup to Yu Qingge.
Yang Ruxin picked up a teacup, first sniffed the tea’s aroma, then slowly took a sip, then another, and finally drank it all: "Indeed, it’s good tea." In this era, there’s no pollution; wild harvested tea and medicinal herbs basically don’t need washing.
Yu Qingge didn’t understand tea, so she stayed silent. As she didn’t like tea much in both her past and present life, this era without coffee or bubble tea meant she’d have to make do.
Li Mingyin’s eyes flickered: Madam is truly well-rounded in both literature and martial arts. By her tea-drinking posture and demeanor, she could tell Ruxin understood tea, making her own display feel slightly like showing off in front of an expert.
"Hehe." Yang Ruxin put down the teacup, "Well-rounded in both arts and arms? I’ve merely seen others drink and imitated them."
Li Mingyin set down her teacup: "Madam, there’s no need to be modest." She looked up at Yang Ruxin, "I’ve always been curious, is there anything you’re not good at?"
"There’s plenty I’m not good at." Yang Ruxin shrugged, "It just so happens that during your encounters with me, you saw what I was good at, like my medical skills."
Li Mingyin chuckled softly: "Alright." Then she poured another cup of tea, "Tonight’s moonlight is indeed beautiful."
"However, I suppose Miss Li didn’t invite me here just to admire the moon?" Yang Ruxin picked up her teacup, "I’m not fond of guessing games, so speak directly."
"You may leave now." Li Mingyin glanced at the maid Doukou and the other maid, Hong Dou, and then looked at Yu Qingge.
Yang Ruxin initially didn’t want Yu Qingge to leave, but the girl stood up on her own: "I’ll take a stroll outside."
"Be careful, don’t wander off." Yang Ruxin said as she tossed her gold, "Take it with you for my peace of mind."
