Chapter 2241: Chapter 2241: It’s a Little Young Master (Part 3)
Yang Ruxin nodded, knowing that Dao Xuzi’s acupuncture skills were incredibly powerful. The anesthesia effect from acupuncture was better than Powder for Anesthesia, so after taking a deep breath, she took out the tools from her space, sterilized them, and focused as she made the first incision in Tian Jiarong’s abdomen.
The tools were a set of surgical instruments modeled after those commonly used in post-modern hospitals.
There was also the suture thread, extracted by Dao Xuzi from a type of grass, which was quite elastic and had been used before to stitch up wild cats. The thread would naturally fall off once the wound healed.
Yang Ruxin closed her eyes slightly, praying that her superpower would be effective because this was a life-and-death situation. Luckily, her ability was still there.
Despite not being a medicine student, facing human internal organs for the first time, Yang Ruxin felt she was going to vomit. She had to force herself to remain calm as she took the baby out of the abdomen and handed it to Dao Xuzi to handle, then began the suturing process.
However, her sewing skills were not very good, so the stitching on the wound didn’t look great, but there was no room for more considerations now; saving the life was the priority.
"Hopefully when my cousin sees the stitches on her abdomen, she won’t blame me," Yang Ruxin sighed, cutting off the suture thread after tying it, then applied medicine.
Because the baby had suffocated due to the umbilical cord wrapped around the neck, Dao Xuzi worked for quite a while before the baby let out a loud cry.
Fortunately, the suffocation time wasn’t long, so the baby was healthy.
Hearing Dao Xuzi’s words, Yang Ruxin felt a sense of relief, and her hands started moving faster.
Outside the birthing room, everyone from the Shu Family was as anxious as if they were on tenterhooks, yet none dared to make a sound.
"Second cousin, don’t worry, you have to trust Xinxin’s medical skills." Gu Qingheng reached out to hold Shu Zhe, who was as anxious as an ant on a hot pan. "Besides, there is also the Divine Doctor Dao Xuzi in there."
Shu Zhe stopped his pacing, staring blankly at Gu Qingheng.
"Divine Doctor Dao Xuzi is someone even King Yama dreads. His ability to bring the dead back to life is no joke," Gu Qingheng gave him a determined look.
"Qingheng is right," Shu Xing, supported by a servant, walked over. "Since we’ve sought Xinxin’s help, we must trust her. If she succeeds, we’ll be grateful; if not, we won’t harbor resentment because, considering the family relationship, Xinxin was under no obligation to help. Had she not intervened, we’d likely have already lost one, possibly even experiencing a double tragedy."
Shu Zhe calmed down considerably: "Grandpa is right, cousin, I was too impatient."
The others also visibly relaxed.
Just then, the sound of a baby’s cry came from inside the room. Though faint, everyone outside heard it.
"Born?" Shu Zhe’s eyes widened.
"Congratulations, sir, congratulations, sir," the midwife emerged with a face full of joy. "It’s a young master."
"How’s Jiarong?" Shu Zhe quickly came over.
"I don’t know," the midwife shook her head in embarrassment. "I didn’t see. Madam Gu asked me to come out and bring you the good news first and to let everyone know it’s fine."
Gu Qingheng smiled, "I told you Xinxin would be fine."
"Amitabha," Madam Shu Niushi and Madam Shu Lishi simultaneously put their hands together in prayer.
Just then, the door opened, and Yang Ruxin staggered out.
"Xinxin," Gu Qingheng was immediately there, pulling her into his embrace.
