Chapter 2381: Farting and Burping (Part 1)
Chapter 2381: Chapter 2381: Farting and Burping (Part 1)
Chen Yingzi immediately got angry: "Yang Ruxin, what do you mean? I’ve taken the medicine pill, why are you still looking at me? Trying to falsely accuse me? You say burp when you want, fart when you want? I..."
Just as she hadn’t finished speaking, someone nearby burped, and another person farted loudly, followed by others who had taken the medicine pill, all burping and farting in a lively scene.
"Oh dear, I’m heading back, it’s too smelly." Several women felt embarrassed and turned to run away.
The villagers were afraid of the smell too, but they only backed off a bit, covering their noses without actually leaving.
Everyone kept burping and farting, except for Chen Yingzi, who was perfectly fine.
"Oh dear, Second Sister-in-law, I didn’t expect you to mess with my family, I... burp..." Yang Huangshi pointed at Chen Yingzi, ready to settle accounts, but the constant burping left her unable to complete a sentence.
"I..." Chen Yingzi realized she couldn’t talk her way out of it.
"Rubbish." The Third Uncle’s dragon head walking stick stomped hard on the ground, "All of you, go to the courtyard, don’t you feel ashamed here?" Then he turned and left.
Chen Guowei came over, grabbed his wife, and walked away, too embarrassing.
The others instead laughed and joked, knowing that the farting and burping would soon stop, but everyone said they felt refreshed and surprisingly fortunate, making those around them envious.
Yang Ruxin however didn’t bother with how to deal with Chen Yingzi, as it was a family matter, and she greeted the Third Uncle and the village chief before turning to leave.
"Big Cousin, aren’t you afraid she ate it too?" Yang Ruohuai was very curious, following closely behind Yang Ruxin and asking curiously.
"No, because she feels guilty." Yang Ruxin laughed, "So, one should never do things with a guilty conscience, that way you’ll be steady, not afraid of any examination."
Yang Ruohuai nodded.
"Go find Xiaofeng and the others to play." Yang Ruxin patted Yang Ruohuai’s head. She had to admit, Yang Rusong had really put effort into this younger brother; the child was no longer so annoying.
Yang Ruohuai’s eyes brightened, though he felt a bit timid, but being a child, since Big Cousin said so, it should be okay, and he turned to go find Xiaofeng and the others.
"Big Cousin, you’re really impressive." Yang Rusong said sincerely.
"I also have to thank Guan Jieyuan for the assistance." Yang Ruxin glanced at Guan Qingshu.
"Just a small effort." Guan Qingshu’s eyes sparkled; she actually noticed him.
Yang Ruxin nodded but paused after a few steps: "I heard Guan Jieyuan is going to Beijing after the new year?"
"Yes, thanks to my mentor’s guidance, I caught the eye of Shilin Academy’s Academician Wang Yaze, and next year I can study at the Imperial College." Guan Qingshu didn’t keep anything secret.
"Elder Wang is indeed a person of immense learning, and he is straightforward and low-key." Yang Ruxin nodded, "To be his student is indeed quite fortunate." The key is, Wang Yaze never picks sides, hardly participates in court politics, just focuses on academics, which makes him one of the smartest people.
"Thank you." Guan Qingshu’s eyes sparkled.
Yang Ruxin smiled: "I certainly hope that in the future, we, who know each other well, don’t end up on opposing sides, right?" Then she walked straight away; matters of politics are unpredictable, but it’s always better to avoid familiar faces becoming enemies.
