Chapter 2452: Chapter 2452: Someone Died (Part 4)
"Of course it’s normal." Yang Ruxin pinched Li Xiang’s cheek, "If you were to go to the county by yourself now, you would probably feel a bit anxious, let alone going to a completely unfamiliar place without any family around."
"You say it’s normal, so I guess it’s normal. I don’t dare to tell others; I’m afraid they’ll say I don’t appreciate my blessings, having found a good husband’s family but still overthinking it." Li Xiang let out a long breath, "I’ve been so anxious these days that I can’t sleep; look at my dark circles."
"You’re such a fool." Yang Ruxin held Li Xiang’s hand, "Remember, you have a strong husband’s family that’s not at all inferior to the Xie Family. Once you get there, do your duty well. People from big families wear different masks; don’t be too honest. Don’t bully anyone, but if someone bullies you, bully them back twice as hard. I don’t want you to endure unjust grievances."
"Hmm." Li Xiang reached out to hug Yang Ruxin, "Thank you. Without you, I’d have no confidence."
Yang Ruxin patted Li Xiang’s back: "It’s alright, you have plenty of confidence. Remember, if you come back crying from being bullied, I’ll scold them. I don’t want such cowardly sisters."
Li Xiang burst into laughter, her mood instantly lifted: "I guarantee I won’t embarrass Madam Ruyi. Okay, I won’t stay to chat; I have to go back and make shoes." She said, rising up, but suddenly paused, "Did you know something happened at the Ma Gouzi’s family?"
Since warning the village chief, Yang Ruxin had withdrawn her surveillance on the Ma Gouzi family. Such a household truly wasn’t worth the manpower.
Because of her heavy pregnancy, she basically didn’t go to the village anymore, so whatever happened there was usually brought back by Sanni and other little gossipers after school. It’s not even time for school to be over yet.
As it happened, just this morning, someone died at the Ma Gouzi’s family.
It was an old widower from Dong Family village of the neighboring town, who died on Wang Baozhu’s belly.
Yang Ruxin was surprised, her eyes wide: "How did they find out?"
"Because the old widower came with a neighbor. They say the one who died suddenly stopped breathing while on Wang Baozhu, and the other one ran out naked in fear and got discovered." Li Xiang pursed her lips, "You wouldn’t believe it; it’s been chaotic all morning."
"Let’s go, take a look." Upon hearing this, Yang Ruxin hurriedly stood up, "I can take a stroll." She glanced at Du Man, "You better not go; I’ll tell you all about it when I return."
Du Man twitched at the corner of her mouth, resigning to the situation.
Her family couldn’t let Yang Ruxin go alone, so Dong Wenxiu and others followed her into the village.
From a distance, they could hear the noise.
Ma Gouzi’s house was tightly surrounded by villagers, but when someone saw Yang Ruxin, they naturally made way.
Yang Ruxin found it both amusing and exasperating; she was just here to see the spectacle, not to resolve the case, so why make way?
"Xinxin, come over here; you can sit here." Aunt Xinghua and Aunt Ba were supporting the heavily pregnant Liang Xiaoyu as they watched the scene; upon seeing Yang Ruxin, they quickly beckoned her, "You’re heavily pregnant; you shouldn’t stand for long."
Dong Wenxiu and Feng Zilan helped Yang Ruxin over and let her sit beside Xiaoyu.
"You all deserve to die!" Suddenly, from the yard came Wang Baozhu’s hysterical shout, "Believe it or not, I’ll die to show you all!"
