Chapter 2599: Chapter 2599: Fool (Part 1)
Wanyan Ningshuang stood proudly at the door, waiting for Yang Ruxin’s reception. She planned to first give this village girl a shock and then draw her in; then wouldn’t she obediently follow her lead? But after waiting for a long time, she didn’t see Yang Ruxin; instead, a few young girls appeared, making her frown.
"Who are you? What are you doing at my doorstep?" Sanni frowned as she looked at Wanyan Ningshuang.
The young girls, Sini among them, originally went to play with three beans and then went looking for Sanni. Upon hearing that the Jin Country princess had arrived, they hurriedly came out too. Now, seeing her, they realized she didn’t look so impressive, nothing like their eldest sister.
"I’m here to see Yang Ruxin. Tell her to come out and meet this princess." Wanyan Ningshuang, being tall and well-developed, looked at the young girls in front of her with a dismissive expression.
"Is my eldest sister’s name something you can just utter?" Erya put her hands on her hips and pointed at Wanyan, "Who do you think you are?"
"I’m the princess of Jin Country." Wanyan Ningshuang lifted her chin at Erya, "You all must bow to this princess."
"Just because you say you’re the princess of Jin Country?" Zhou Ying sneered, "Are princesses this cheap?"
"Even if you are the princess of Jin Country, so what? This is Great Xuan, not Jin Country, not a place for you to show off." Sanni crossed her arms and looked askance at Wanyan Ningshuang.
"How dare you, you unruly commons, to be so disrespectful to our princess." The maid Chi Zhu stepped forward suddenly, "Do you believe I won’t have your heads cut off?"
"Oh wow, behead us?" Sanni chuckled dismissively, "As if I’m scared! If you don’t chop, you’re just a grandson!"
"I am not a grandson, I am a granddaughter." Chi Zhu glared. She didn’t understand this Xuan Dynasty insult, just instinctively thought she, being a girl, should naturally be a granddaughter, not a grandson.
The people around froze, then burst into uproarious laughter.
"This is killing me, what an idiot," Erya’s voice was the sharpest.
"You dare ridicule me?" Chi Zhu, who was always regarded highly when with Wanyan Ningshuang, was mocked by these little girls now; she instantly got angry and swung at Erya, who laughed the hardest.
Azhu, Erya’s maid, was about to rush over, but Yang He held her back and swiftly grabbed Chi Zhu’s fist.
Yang He, known as Yingchun, had completely healed her once-ruined face and no longer wore a veil. Yang Ruxin had placed her by Sini’s side; outwardly a maid but actually to protect Sini. Among the maids surrounding the young girls, she had the most martial skill.
Chi Zhu indeed knew martial arts, maybe enough for little ones like Xiaoyun and Xiaodie, but not against Yang He. Her fist was caught, and she couldn’t pull free.
"This is the General Residence, not a place for just anyone to run wild." Yang He darkened her expression as she looked at her opponent.
"You..." Chi Zhu’s face flushed entirely, not sure whether out of embarrassment or because of the grip’s pain.
Seeing her maid subdued with one move, Wanyan Ningshuang became displeased, suddenly drawing a whip from her waist and swinging it at Yang He.
"Be careful, Sister He!" Sini shouted loudly.
Although Yang He’s skills couldn’t compare to Du Juan, she was still a master. She quickly bent backward to dodge the whip, simultaneously throwing Chi Zhu aside, causing her to bump into Wanyan Ningshuang.
