Chapter 2882: Saint Lord (2)
Chapter 2882: Chapter 2882: Saint Lord (2)
The outskirts of Wuhe County.
A few fast horses were galloping ahead like the wind, and one of the men in black had a little boy held in front of him.
Behind the galloping horses, a little snow‑white fox quickly followed.
The little boy who was supposed to be passed out had already opened his eyes at this moment, but since he was hanging upside down, the black‑clad rider didn’t notice at all.
Hei Dou also didn’t give himself away; he just stared at the ground, and even took the time to put the purple‑eyed Spiritual Fox back into his space, since running along like that was way too tiring.
The little guy had indeed let himself be taken on purpose. He knew someone wanted to harm his dad and mom—otherwise they wouldn’t have come up with that poisoned medicinal wine trick. Now that incident hadn’t hurt his family; instead, it had made their business even better, so the enemy would definitely make more moves. So when that sugar‑seller scattered powder at him, he was actually fine, but still pretended to faint.
This time, by following them back to their lair, he wanted to see just who hated them so much.
He had no idea how long they’d been riding; anyway, classmate Hei Dou felt like all his internal organs were about to be shaken loose before they finally stopped.
And they had actually reached the seaside.
The man in black dismounted and lifted Hei Dou down as well.
Hei Dou quietly opened his eyes for a peek. Right there by the sea, a fairly large merchant ship was moored. He couldn’t help knitting his little brows. Sure enough, they were from Wa Country.
As he was thinking that, the group boarded the merchant ship.
In a room on the second level, a man with a small braid at the back of his head was currently savoring tea.
"Saint Lord." A man in black reported at the door, "We’ve brought the person." He spoke in the Wa language.
"Come in."
The door was pushed open, and the man in black set Hei Dou down on the floor.
"Wake him up."
One of the black‑clad men immediately went to fetch cold water to splash him.
Hei Dou hurriedly opened his eyes, took a sweep around the room, then burst into loud sobs: "I want my dad, I want my mom..."
The man in black froze for a moment, looked at the water in his hand, then silently turned and put it down.
"Shut up!" The Saint Lord was irritated by Hei Dou’s crying and barked harshly.
Hei Dou seemed to be frightened and stopped at once, but he still hiccupped with little sobs, tears hanging on his small face, making him look especially pitiful.
The Saint Lord stood up and walked over to Hei Dou. "You’re the son of Yang Ruxin and Gu Qingheng?" He spoke in the Daxuan tongue.
"Yeah. But whose son are you?" Hei Dou lifted his eyes to look at him too.
"Me?" The Saint Lord was taken aback, clearly not expecting the little brat to ask him that. Then he chuckled. "Naturally, I’m my mother’s son."
"Oh." Hei Dou nodded. "I thought you were Sun Wukong." Sun Wukong had popped out of a rock, after all.
"What did you say?" The Saint Lord frowned. "Who is Sun Wukong?"
"Sun Wukong is a great hero." Hei Dou spread his hands. "But what did you grab me for?"
"Your parents ruined many of my big plans."
"My mom said, if something can be ruined that easily, then it doesn’t count as a ’big’ plan." Hei Dou pursed his little lips. "So maybe you just didn’t plan well enough?"
"Nonsense." The Saint Lord’s face twisted viciously. "I’ve plotted for so many years, I was on the verge of success, and then your parents ruined everything. Tell me, doesn’t that mean she deserves to die?"
"All that proves is that you’re too incompetent, and that my mom is too amazing." Hei Dou rolled his eyes at him. "My dad says the best thing a loser can do is tuck his tail between his legs and behave himself. So you really shouldn’t have shown up."
