The First Legendary Beast Master

Chapter 1980 Follow The Leaders In

Chapter 1980 Follow The Leaders In

Karl was just finishing an order for the Almeixei Sect's Elders when a System Message alerted him that the Darklight Host had issues to deal with.

{System Notice} A member of your Guild has entered an unstable Trial Space, join them?

Karl turned to Leon, the Seraphim Runemaster who was working nearby to make Supreme Ranked custom orders, and the white winged man gave him a slow smile.

"I wonder who wandered off and found a good thing?

If it's a System Trial, and it's inviting others in, that means it's somewhere near our territory. We might as well all go, just leave whatever automated assistants are set up for the stores, and bring as many people as it will let us.

It notified me as well, so it doesn't have a power cap. Or, the power cap is higher than Supreme."

{42/100 Immortal or higher members of the Darklight Host have entered.}

Karl did a quick headcount when he got there, and then began to laugh as he realized that Ophelia was carrying not just one but three dragons, with Tena the Spirit Bear cub standing beside her.

Lotus, Tena, and Yewan were all napping in dragon form when the message had come in, so she had grabbed all of them for the trial.

The Blue Elves were here, as well as Veda the blue dragon Seeker, Amie, Samba and Colima, the three mages from the New Home who had come to train in the Tiny World, all the other Supremes, including the Pack Leader, and the Pack Elders.

"Are we missing anyone?" He asked once he had verified that all his core team members were here with Dana, and none of the beasts had been left behind.

Even Hawk had come out of his space for a change, and he was in his full Dark Flame Phoenix form.

That was an unusual one for the bird, who had recently begun spending all his time trying to understand the intricacies of fire. Very little else tended to pique his interest these days, and Karl saw it as a good sign that this place had gotten him to come out to explore.

He couldn't sense any sort of intense fire element energy either.

Everyone was still standing in a group, visually inspecting the area, but not daring to move yet.

"Who was the first one here? I need to know for my records." Veda, the blue dragon seeker demanded.

"I was the first one! I found it!" Button declared.

"What were you doing that led to you ending up in a trial instance?"

"I was on an adventure! Me and Lyric and Lala and Sister Cara went out to pick fresh flowers to decorate the tables, since we needed varieties that we didn't have in the Tiny World. And then we found a shiny place full of new flowers.

And now here we are."

The blue dragon nodded. The fact that the badger was with them made this all make more sense. But the fact that they had managed to get one of the bunnies to come along on their trip made her question whether this was legitimate, or just the kids making trouble.

"Alright. Did it give you any messages yet? Other than the one that more people can enter?"

Button shook her head. "Nope. It said waiting for more participants when we came in, so we've been right here, waiting for all of you."

Veda checked with Lala, who nodded in agreement.

"Yep. We were just collecting flowers. See, I've even got the first batch of them with me still. We've got new guests today, so I wanted to change the colours. Cara told me where we could find more colours of flowers, and the others volunteered to join us."

Perhaps this wasn't something sinister or strange, simply good luck.

They had gone to find new flowers, and they had.

In fact, there were all sorts of new flowers here, and Remi had started to stealthily pick them while they waited to see what the System was going to do. They were getting close to the full hundred Immortal Ranked Guild members in the trial.

Of course, that meant that a large portion of their workforce, the Lizardfolk and Obsession Demons rescued from the Octopus Supreme during the invasion of the Mortal World, had taken the day off work to join the trial.

Veda was surprised that Yewan had been included, as usually hatchlings were not, even if they were technically Immortal.

Tifa was bonded to Lotus, while Button was older, so it made sense that they would be included. But Yewan was just tagging along because Ophelia had brought him while he was asleep.

The fact that the trial had even let her do it was shocking.

Finally, a few more of the Lycans joined the trial, and the System updated their status.

{100/100 Immortal Ranked Guild Members have entered. Trial will now begin.}

"What did we just volunteer for anyhow? I saw the message while I was training, but I didn't see any prior notice." One of the younger Lycans asked.

"It's a System Trial. A member stumbled into it, and it apparently requires a hundred Guild members to start. None of us actually know what the trial will be," Karl explained.

"That's not horribly reassuring."

"I know, and that's likely why it took so long for us to get a whole hundred members. Not everyone is big on just jumping into an unknown situation simply because it exists. But at least we've started it, and we'll be able to get the rewards," Karl offered.

Yewan opened an eye. "{Oh, we're somewhere new! Sister Ophelia, what are we doing today? Thanks for the lift.}"

"It's a trial. A system trial. Now, wake up and stretch your wings, you don't want to get a cramp right as we're starting."

That was good advice, the little dragon decided.

"{ Yep. Exercise time! Miss Tessa, will you lead the stretches? The Matron isn't here. }"

And that was how the entire Darklight Host ended up doing calisthenics at the start of a Trial instance.
