Chapter 1645: Tribulation!
?
As Aakesh released his aura fully, the space around him cracked like mirror fragments, and then those fragments started raining down.
?
Rumble! Rumble! Rumble!
?
The sky rumbled, but the array kept it to the small area above the store only.
?
The next moment, the sky turned darker as dark clouds began to appear.
?
It started spreading, but the array forced it to stay within its range only. Following, that a pressure appeared and struck Aakesh.
?
It was a pressure released by the world’s laws, but Aakesh casually brushed it off since his strength had already broken the set limit.
?
For ascension to the Primordial dimension from the Sacred dimension, there were seven types of tribulation.
?
The first was the lightning tribulation, where the cultivator would get struck nine times. The lightning strike’s intensity depended on the cultivators. For some cultivators, their first strike could be more destructive than the ninth strike of some user.
?
Rumble! Rumble!
?
The sky rumbled once again, and the entire store began to tremble in response. The space that had just healed turned into nothingness right away, showing the endless void. Outside the array range, things remained normal as they usually were, but inside the range, it seemed doomsday had arrived, and nothing could survive it.
?
Purple bursts of lightning appeared as they churned around the dark clouds, getting fully prepared to strike Aakesh.
?
The array started to tremble as the pressure from the clouds had become too much. Aakesh’s expression turned grave since the pressure had already reached that intensity when the lightning hadn’t even completely formed for the first strike.
?
After the first strike, he had to face eight more, which would only continue to grow stronger at an exponential rate.
?
The system immediately acted and enhanced the array. It was still trembling, but it remained standing, showing no signs of breaking down at any time.
?
Even Aakesh could no longer casually brush off that pressure, but it didn’t cause much trouble for him either.
?
Fortunately for the inhabitants of the nearby universes, there was an array protecting them. Forget kneeling; even a Sacred Creator would instantly explode after coming into contact with that level of intense pressure.
?
Crash!
?
The clouds had finally prepared enough, and the first thunderbolt struck Aakesh.
?
Aakesh’s expression turned cold, and he extended his hand, grabbing the thunderbolt with his bare hands.
?
Boom!
?
It seemed to be a sentient bolt, so it let out a hiss and exploded, making Aakesh directly bear that force. His expression didn’t change, but his hand had.
?
Half his finger had turned into nothing but bones as his skin and muscle exploded. His blood seemed to be indestructible, so it floated around and then dissipated as the system collected it, not letting it touch the ground.
?
He felt nothing from the last strike. Soon, the sky began to rain thunderbolts in a wave, each stronger than the last. His injuries then healed right away. Even calling it an instant would be an understatement of how quickly it healed.
?
Aakesh suddenly frowned. He had only gotten slightly injured, and that too had healed without much trouble, but he suddenly felt an intense pain spreading through his body, through his finger.
?
His mental strength was infinite, so he immediately recovered from the pain and looked at the sky where the clouds were preparing for his second strike.
?
Since the spreading area was very short, the thickness of the cloud had reached an unprecedented level. If it were to be called a pillar, it could easily pierce through a couple of universes; such was its height.
?
For the intensity of the strike, Aakesh didn’t think much. Just the first strike could destroy one-quarter of the Sacred dimension based on the destructive intensity it had.
?
The second strike seemed to have grown exponentially in intensity, but even then, when it struck, Aakesh used the same tactic.
?
Only the result was different this time. For the first strike, only half of one of his fingers had been injured, but the second time, all five of his fingers had exploded into a blood cloud, with even some of his bones disintegrating.
?
The recovery time was as quick as ever, and the pain intensity had also grown a hundredfold if Aakesh were to quantify the intensity into numerical values.
?
Time flew by. It took around an hour for the clouds to gather enough lightning for the third strike.
?
With every strike, his injury intensity grew, and by the sixth strike, he had to stop using his hands to bear the strikes.
?
When the ninth strike finally arrived, Aakesh had to use everything in his arsenal to defend against it, and yet he was seriously injured in response.
?
Just the crashing sound it had caused was more than enough to disintegrate the Sacred dimension several times.
?
The system had to enhance the array again for the ninth strike, because its appearance had started to cause cracks.
?
If the system hadn’t acted, countless light-years of area around the store would have turned into a dead void.
?
The ninth strike contained the principle of destruction, so when Aakesh recovered from his injuries, the injuries reappeared and showed signs of expanding, but his recovery worked at the same time and started healing him again.
?
Several hours had passed as Aakesh continued to repeat the round of damage and recovery. With each round, Aakesh’s body was absorbing that destructive principle and getting stronger than ever before.
?
The tribulation was always a principle of the higher dimension, so it was the laws of the Primordial dimension that were behind it. If it were the laws of the Sacred dimension, Aakesh would have long passed the tribulation.
?
His strength long surpassed even the absolute limit of the Sacred dimension’s laws. Like how a world is a bigger party between itself and a creature, Aakesh was the bigger party between him and the Sacred dimension.
?
While Aakesh was going through the tribulation, a new day had begun, but unlike the previous days, the store remained closed.
?
Even the assistant was stuck outside the door. Inside the store, Lily and Khaval nervously looked at Aakesh going through the tribulation.
