Chapter 1065: Wait And See.

Harem King entered the third heaven through the Blessed Heaven World, but Wandering Thief returned to the super world that he had managed to keep hidden for so long and chose to use it as an entry point into the third heaven.

The Blessed Heaven World was close to him, but he didn’t want to use it. He didn’t enter it. Instead, he went all the way back to the new super world.

In the sky, Black Chain said, "I have work to do. Goodbye."

As he spoke, the rift in front of his face began to close.

Before the rift could close completely, Tepid Scholar said solemnly, "What about the matter of the ascension of the Blessed Heaven World?"

The closing rift paused for a brief moment when Black Chain heard this question. But then the rift resumed closing one more.

As the tear in space shrunk, Black Chain said, "I’ll consider it seriously. It is not good to make decisions in a hurry and especially out of fear. Let me have time to mull it over and consider the implications."

"Besides, there is no rush. Let’s wait and see how things turn out before making a decision. Maybe the guardian exaggerated what would happen when the seal is broken."

Tepid Scholar didn’t like this at all. His face became cold as he said, "What does it matter if the guardian exaggerated or not? Should we hold ourselves back from growing stronger just because he might have exaggerated? Do we need someone coming into the Sea of Worlds to kill us before you decide that it is good to increase our strength as fast as possible?"

Unfortunately, all of his words seemed to have gone to the wind because the rift closed and Black Chain didn’t reply. This only made Tepid Scholar angrier.

As Tepid Scholar fumed, no one said anything. The atmosphere was steeped in a silence so deep that the wails of sorrowful mortals from below, because of the death of so many people, could be heard clearly.

Finally, Green Fire broke the silence by saying, "Congratulations on the addition of two Dao Lords and Domains to the Blessed Heaven World. Your super world has become stronger once again."

Immobile Mountain nodded and said, "It is truly a rise in power. That new Dao Lord alone will provide at least 4,900 million square kilometers in size from the looks of things."

Carefree Immortal also added, saying, "And Harem King’s Domain seems to be intact, so it should provide at least 7,400 million square kilometers with her two pathways. With the newcomer, that’s at least an additional 12,300 million square kilometers. It is a windfall if you ask me. Congratulations once again."

Whether they meant well with their compliments or spoke with ill will, Tepid Scholar didn’t care. He ignored everything they said and changed the subject, saying, "We can’t let him get away with this."

He looked at each of them in turn as he said, "We can’t keep letting him hold our lives in limbo like this. We have to do something before it is too late."

He spoke with an edge in his voice bordering on desperation. Many of them noticed this and agreed with him on the matter, but none of them were as desperate as he was or understood why he was so desperate.

None of them had witnessed the events of ancient times and seen high and mighty Dao Lords laid low. Even just watching that event had left him with lingering fear. So none of them knew the magnitude of what was at stake if the Sea of Worlds were to be open to the larger universe.

But even though they were not as desperate as he was, no one here would say no to the acquisition of more power. Right now, Black Chain was standing in their way of acquiring more power, so they all agreed with him that something must be done.

In the spirit of agreement, Martial Will frowned and said, "Where is he going anyway? What could be more important than releasing the Will of the Blessed Heaven World and helping it ascend while we still have the time to do so?"

Heavenly Eye curled her lips as she said, "Of course he went to kill that newcomer. From the looks of things, the newcomer has a Cosmic Dao. How can he pass up such an opportunity to grow stronger?"

"Is it really a Cosmic Dao?" Immobile Mountain asked skeptically. ’I thought it looked like a Grand Dao?"

Sword Maestro also said with suspicion, "I knew he was going to kill someone, but I thought he would target Wandering Thief. But if you say this newcomer has a Cosmic Dao, it would be reasonable for Black Chain to target him."

With a scoff, Heavenly Eye said, "If I say he has a Cosmic Dao, then he must have a Cosmic Dao. I never lie."

When she saw that no one seemed to believe her and they were looking at her as if she were saying nonsense, she grumbled inwardly before saying, "Forget about the Cosmic Dao. There are other reasons why he must target the new Dao Lord of the Devouring Pathway."

"This Dao Lord is new, young, weak with only one pathway, and inexperienced with the powers of a Dao Lord, so he will be easy to kill. As opposed to him, Wandering Thief is ancient, highly experienced, has at least two pathways, and can easily escape."

"Wandering Thief is a tough old bone that has been weathered for over a thousand years. Compared to that, that newcomer is just a fat, juicy piece of tender meat. What to bite on is clear as day."

She chuckled slyly as she said, "Wandering Thief himself knew this, which is why he waited until a new Dao Lord appeared to take the focus and heat away from him. I am willing to bet that this was the same reason Harem King picked this time to advance."
