Chapter 1074: Ten Godheads.

Then the guardian shook their head slightly and said, "Unfortunately, I’m not here to bully a newbie. So let’s move on."

After saying this, the guardian finally stopped walking around him, inspecting him up and down. They came up in front of him, took a few backward steps to return to their previous position, and stopped.

"A Dao Initiate, an ascendant, or a mortal saint, depending on what cultivation system they use, with a Dao Status of 9, 8 units in each of their stats for a total of 40 units, a Minor Dao with a size of 9 units, and a Life Fire with a conversion efficiency of 28% will have a qualification of 907 units and be able to meet the minimum requirement for a single godhead."

"On the other hand, someone with a Dao Status of 9, 9 units in each of their stats for a total of 45 units, a Cosmic Dao with a size of 81 units, and a Life Fire with a conversion efficiency of 100% will have a qualification of 32,805 units, which is inadequate to meet the requirement for the tenth godhead."

When Loki heard this, he made a quick calculation in his head to see how many qualifications were needed to create the tenth godhead. This time, he used the mind within The Devouring Supreme Metac to make it.

After a quick calculation of 900 × 1.5^9, he concluded that the qualification needed for the tenth godhead was 34, 599 units. So the guardian was right.

The guardian sensed these thoughts and said, "Of course I’m right."

"Anyway, as I was saying. To have a Dao Status of 9, a total of 45 units in their stats, possessing a Cosmic Dao at rank 9, and a Life Fire with a conversion efficiency of 100% is to be the best of the best on the path of divine transformation. Yet, such figures still fail to create a tenth godhead."

"The best they can do is make nine godheads. That means, no matter how talented they are, they can only have 9 pathways as Celestials. It is not bad, to be honest. At least, there are much worse possibilities."

"Only special entities like the will of worlds, the children of gods who have 10 units in each of their stats for a total of 50 units, and so on and so forth get to have 10 godheads. Clearly you are not any of this, yet you were able to achieve the same feat."

"The alternative is to have such a high comprehension and understanding of your pathway that you figured out a way to upgrade your Grand Dao to a Cosmic Dao. The grand will of the universe saw the new set of rules that you came up with in your mind and decided to not only help you upgrade your Grand Dao to a Cosmic Dao, but also grant you a tenth godhead."

They snapped their fingers as they said, "That must be what had happened."

"And don’t try to deny it. I knew you were special and that something was going on with you when the grand will took so long evaluating you and elevating your state of existence."

"You started your breakthrough first, yet you finished last. Then you appear with ten godheads and a Grand Dao that should have been a Cosmic Dao. What do you have to say for yourself?"

Since he was caught, Loki finally relented and said, "Fine. You caught me. A great being appeared."

The guardian immediately said smugly, "Ah. I knew it. You thought you could deceive me, but you’re no match for my powers of deduction."

As they shook their head, they said, "It is not your fault really. I knew the answer before I came to you. So your attempts to deceive me can only fall short."

"If you know this much, you should know why that great being appeared. Please, can you tell me?" Loki asked nicely.

"Look who is coming around now," the guardian said with a sneer. "Look at who wants to take advantage of my fountain of knowledge. Surely you don’t think you can get this information for free."

With a straight face, Loki asked, "What do you want?"

As soon as he asked that question, the air around them froze. A powerful will descended on the scene, freezing the world and locking Loki in place.

He could still think, but he couldn’t move at all. This reminded him of many unpleasant experiences in the past.

He couldn’t help grumbling inwardly, saying, ’Not again. Is there no end to this?’

But the situation was serious. In fact, it was very serious because the guardian was now looking at him like an enemy they were about to attack.

They swung their spear in an arc as they said, "This brings me to my purpose for coming here. I have come to ask you to help me produce an offspring for my race."
