Chapter 1087: Too Much Fear.

A frown appeared on his face as he thought, ’Clearly, that space has something to do with the fourth dimension. But where exactly is it in relation to reality? And how do I control it?’

While he was thinking, trying to make heads and tails of what had happened, he was running away at full speed. However, even though he wanted to be as far away from this place as possible, he avoided using the 272 free divinity from the spark of power to avoid alerting the guardian about his abnormal strength.

Along the way, he kept thinking about what had just happened to him. Unfortunately for him, any time he tried to make sense of what had happened, the three-dimensional world around him kept messing with his mind.

In that sea of nothingness, there had been nothing around him to affect his perspective. There was only him and the other versions of himself.

But now, wherever he looked, he saw the world, and anytime he tried to reconcile the state of existence of the fourth dimension with the 3-Dimensional world around him, a dissonance appeared, making doubt his experience.

It was as if he was imprisoned by the 3-D world, limiting what he could consider possible. The experience was akin to the difficulty a drawing of an ant would encounter when trying to envision the existence of a three-dimensional ant.

Fortunately, he didn’t lose everything that he experienced in that void. He was able to come to certain truths that his imprisoned existence couldn’t deny.

’The fourth dimension is real, and I need to incorporate it into the 4-d prototype before it can be complete. I guess that I need a material or a piece of information that can break the rules and confines of the normal reality around me to do that.’

’It could also be that I need to elevate my state of existence to a sufficient level to break free from this prison.’

He was in the middle of thinking when he sensed a powerful presence closing rapidly on him. He already knew who it was, but he still turned around to have a look.

When he turned to look behind him, he saw a black armored figure that looked like a knight. The figure was wearing black armor that covered every inch of their body, leaving no gaps, and they held a long black spear in their hand.

As soon as he laid eyes on the armored knight, they had already caught up to him and overtaken him. This caused his heart to sink in fear.

The armored knight had appeared before him, blocking his way. Because of this vast difference in speed, he decided to stop running.

The fear in his mind was palpable as he thought, ’I can’t escape.’

The armored knight in front of him smiled and said, "No, you cannot escape."

Having his thoughts read spooked him so severely that he took a step back from the armored knight in fear, while thinking, ’It seems I am doomed.’

The armored knight read his thoughts and said, "You don’t need to be afraid of me. I am not here to kill you. I just want to chat and ask you a favor."

Loki didn’t believe him. He also didn’t hesitate to express his belief by saying, "Let me guess. The favor you want from me is my Supreme Metac."

When the armored knight heard his words, they began laughing. "Hahaha. That’s hilarious."

"You have one Supreme Metac, so if I ask for it, that will be killing you. It will be so funny if I ask for that favor."

Hearing this, a wave of fear washed over Loki anew. Fearing that he might have given this powerful person a bad idea, he said hurriedly, "If you need me for anything, don’t hesitate to ask. There is no need to resort to violence."

The guardian was still laughing as they said, "You’re quite the sight. I keep saying that you have no reason to be afraid of me, but you keep being afraid of me."

"After seeing how fast you are, how can I not be afraid?" Loki asked with a tone of deprecation.

The guardian nodded in understanding and said, "You’re right to be afraid, actually. After all, I am one of the people responsible for all of this destruction that you see."

As they spoke, they spread their hands to indicate the current state of the third heaven. They did so with pride, as if showing off their work.

"Fear is a smart reaction to danger. When you fear the right person, you will restrain yourself from doing something that will offend them, thereby avoiding their wrath from falling on you."

"As long as you don’t let fear overwhelm you, clouding your judgment, it is good for your health, as it indicates that you’re smart enough to recognize danger when you see it. So rein in your fear as soon as you can."

"So you must be the guardian," Loki said with sudden realization.

Then he bowed his head and said, "It is nice to finally meet you ."

The guardian, with an air of self-importance, said, "I guess if I must be the guardian, I am the guardian."

"I have a quick request," Loki started to say.

Before the guardian could get the wrong idea, he said, "Can we move while we talk? I need to be as far away from this spot as possible because I’m sure someone is hunting me right now."

"I am asking because you said I have no reason to be afraid of you. But if you don’t want to, we can stay here."

In response, the guardian chuckled and said, "You mean Black Chain. Yes, he is hunting you. He definitely wants to kill you."

Then the guardian said, "In that case, let’s walk and talk. I see no reason why not."

As they spoke, they grabbed Loki with the power of their spirit. Then they took off into the air with him.
