’This snake. I really should have ignored her,’ Loki said to himself in annoyance.

But instead of showing that he was annoyed, he smiled and said, "If you don’t have a deal for me, please stop disturbing me."

Then he ignored her.

As it turned out, he had other people to deal with too.

Sword Maestro initiated a secret conversation and started with, "About that information you wanted to know, I can give it to you and more, for a Supreme Metac."

"Are you out of your mind?" Loki asked in shock, as if using Supreme Metacs to bait them into telling him what he wanted to know wasn’t part of the reasons he decided to sell Supreme Metacs.

His voice was full of disbelief as he said, "Who would give up a Supreme Metac for some information? Do you know how valuable a Supreme Metac is?"

"The information I have is valuable," Sword Way insisted. "Not only will I tell you how to invade worlds, but I can also tell you what information we received that made the Will of the Realm decide to advance in one year. You can also ask me for more information."

"Can you tell me how to improve my rank?" Loki asked with interest.

"That’s a no," Sword Maestro said with a shake of his head. "I don’t know."

Unwilling to give up, Loki asked, "Do you know how to increase the conversion efficiency of Supreme Metacs other than practicing?"

Upon hearing this question, Sword Maestro sighed and said, "I don’t know either."

This reply made Loki think, ’This conversation is a waste of my time.’

Outwardly, he said, "If you have some valuable information, please come to me with it. If it is good enough, I will give you the Dragon Supreme Metac."

Then he stopped paying attention to this poor Dao Lord and said to Black Chain, "What can I help you with?"

Black Chain replied, saying, "I have the Fortune Teller Supreme Metac, Precognition Supreme Metac, and the Human Supreme Metac."

"They are two Major Daos and one Minor Dao. What can I get for them?"

’Wow, where did he get so many Supreme Metacs?’ Loki thought in surprise. ’Did that Human Supreme Metac use to belong to the Human Emperor?’

Outwardly, he didn’t hesitate to ask, "Where did you get these Supreme Metacs?"

"It is none of your business," Black Chain said in reply.

So Loki said, "That’s true. Anyway, what you have isn’t enough for one Grand Dao."

"But I can make an exception for you if you tell me how to raise my rank, how to invade worlds to establish pathways, what information made the Blessed Heaven World ascend in one year, and where you got the three Supreme Metacs."

The response he received was a bout of laughter from Black Chain. As the once mighty Dao Lord of the Four Directions Sect laughed, he said, "You’re one tricky fellow to deal with."

"Just earlier, you wanted this information, but were rebuffed. Now, here I am offering the information to you without being forced. How low I have fallen."

He took a few more moments to laugh at himself. It was a long and sorrowful, deprecating laughter.

When he was done, he said, "So be it. I swear on my Curse Dao to give this Inevitable Ragnarok the Fortune Supreme Metac, Precognition Supreme Metac, and the Human Supreme Metac, and the four pieces of information he asked for, as long as he gives me the Forging Supreme Metac and makes sure it gets to my true body."

Then he said, "I have sworn the oath. So it is time to do your part."

But Loki said, "Not to be picky, and it is not that I don’t trust you, but I’d like you to make some changes to your oath."

"First of all, I want you to change the foundation of your oath from your Curse Dao to your Dao Heart. In fact, it would be better if you put both your Dao Heart and all of your Dao on the line, not just one Grand Dao."

Then he said, "I swear on my Dao Heart to give this Inevitable Ragnarok the Fortune Supreme Metac, Precognition Supreme Metac, and the Human Supreme Metac, tell him about Dao ranks, tell him how to invade worlds, tell him what information made the Blessed Heaven World ascend in one year, and where I got the three Supreme Metacs as long as he gives me the Forging Supreme Metac and makes sure it gets to my true body."

"You see," Loki began with a smack of his lips. "I couldn’t help but notice that you only swore to tell me about Dao ranks and how to invade worlds, not how to raise my Dao rank and how to invade worlds to establish pathways. You also didn’t specify exactly when you will give me what I asked for."

In response, Black Chain chuckled again and repeated the oath. He made proper adjustments to the oath, but there was still a problem that Loki asked him to rectify.

As they went back and forth, Loki thought to himself in frustration, ’This is like Tommy from the initiation grounds again. Both of them want to trick me with words. Like disciple, like master, I guess.’

Eventually, Black Chain got the oath right. So Loki proceeded with the trade.

He used his phantom hand to send down the silver ball of metallic parts. In response, Black Chain sent his avatar to receive the item.

The avatar was the white monkey representing the Enslavement Pathway. The white monkey went over to take the silver ball from the phantom hand. Then it returned to the divine constellation with it.
