Chapter 1171: Mountain Lord Benefits.

As it stood, the benefits for being a Mountain Lord were similar to the benefits of being a part of a Divine Court. He got to increase his Rank, use Authority to expand his capacity for Entropy, increase his Authority, and offload Entropy through the Divine Mountain.

But as a Mountain Lord, he possessed two more privileges that normal members don’t possess. He could use the Divine Mountain as the anchor for a special avatar, and he could utilize the cumulative Domain Power of everyone in the Divine Court.

So far, his personal Domain Power, gained from establishing a Domain on five super worlds, is 40.5 billion square kilometers. This is down from the 56.7 billion square kilometers he used to enjoy from seven super worlds in the previous timeline.

However, because he is a Mountain Lord, he gets to use 42.83 billion square kilometers, not 40.5. The 2.33 billion boost comes from the 202 people in the Divine Court contributing an average of 11,510 million, or 0.01151 billion, square kilometers, and it will keep increasing over time.

Even if Olympus Divine Court doesn’t gain another member, if all 202 members upgrade their worlds to super worlds, they will provide a collective boost of 10 billion square kilometers * 202, which equals 2.02 trillion square kilometers, or 2,020 billion square kilometers.

That’s how much he stands to gain as a Mountain Lord. But it is also how much he stands to lose if the Divine Mountain finds a more worthy replacement for the position of Mountain Lord.

When he thought of the possibility of losing his position, he couldn’t help but work out the total contribution in his mind to see where he stood and how close he was to being usurped.

’So far, the total contribution is 505.5 units. Of this, I am responsible for 40.5 units, which is 8.012%. It is less than 50%, so I’ve already lost the majority vote, and it will only get worse from here on out.’

’Losing the majority vote isn’t actually a bad thing. It only means that the other members are contributing a lot more to the Divine Court than one person, which is a good thing.’

’The bad thing will happen when another member gains a higher contribution than I do. At that time, the person who will be the Mountain Lord will be up for grabs.’

From the Divine Mountain’s perspective, individual Dao Lord contribution is Domain Power * Celestial Gold, and total contribution is the summation of the contribution of every member of the Divine Court.

When a member of the Divine Court contributes at least 50% of the total contribution, they get to automatically control the Divine Mountain, and no one can challenge them.

However, one can remain the Mountain Lord as long as they continue to have the highest contribution. In the current Olympus Divine Court, the second-highest contributor has 3.96%.

So even though his contribution rating has fallen from 90% to 8%, he doesn’t have much to worry about for now. This is why he decided to hold off on increasing his contribution by donating Celestial Gold to the Divine Mountain.

Since he is contributing 40.5 billion square kilometers out of the total Domain Power of 45 billion square kilometers, his contribution rate should have been 90%. But the other 202 members contributed an average of 200 Celestial Gold to increase their contribution, reducing the value of his 40.5 billion square kilometers Domain contribution.

The second-highest contributor even went so far as to contribute 1,000 Celestial Gold. This is how they got a contribution rate of 3.96% even though they provided only 0.02 billion square kilometers of the total Domain Power for the Divine Mountain.

’The gap between the next person and me is getting close, though. Should I add more Celestial Gold now, or should I continue to tease this fellow into thinking they have a chance?’ he asked mischievously.

He is not a poor Dao Lord by any means. Just earlier, he earned a tidy sum of divine crystals and Celestial Gold from the auction he held with Black Chain and the others.

Therefore, if he wanted to raise his contribution rate, he could. But doing so might discourage the big spenders from contributing to the Divine Mountain, which would take him down.

So far, he believed giving them false hope was working, because the average contribution of Celestial Gold had doubled compared to the same time in the previous timeline.

’If I contribute more Celestial Gold, not only will I be able to increase the size of the Divine Court and create more slots for new members, which would increase the total Domain Power, but it will also increase my contribution rate and secure my position. But I also want to look weak and be able to bait people.’

’This is difficult. I guess I’ll wait and see.’

’Besides, I still have a lot of work to do. There is my research with Supreme Metacs, and now I have to help some Gemini invade worlds.’

In the Divine Constellation, Tepid Scholar was saying to the projection, "We couldn’t help but notice that you didn’t promise to interfere with the ascension of the Blessed Heaven World."

"Did I need to?" Loki asked in confusion. "I don’t remember it being compulsory?"

"It is compulsory now," Martial Will said gruffly.

When he looked around, he saw that every Dao Lord of the Blessed Heaven World was now looking at him. They were all emotionless and looked serene as if nothing could bother them, but the fact that they were all paying so much attention to him told him otherwise.
