Chapter 1225: Budget Version.

Onslaught then raised his voice and said, "Then everyone asks me, Why are you weak? Why are you unremarkable? Why can’t you do what Ragnarok did? Aren’t you supposed to be stronger than him? Aren’t you his son? Don’t you know that he is great? Why not be great like him?"

"Again and again, they ask me useless questions. Clearly, I’m not as talented as my father," he finished, folding his arms and glaring at them.

"Someone here has daddy issues," the young swordsman said, drawing a bout of laughter and chuckles from the small crowd.

"Alright, alright. Let’s stop teasing Onslaught, who appears to be the budget version of Ragnarok, anymore," the eagle said in jest.

This drew another round of laughter.

One by one, they dropped jokes which lightened the atmosphere but pissed Onslaught off. After a while, Onslaught couldn’t take it anymore.

He flicked his tail and said in annoyance, "If all you want to do is make jokes, then I should leave. I have better things to do."

"Oh, come on. We’ll stop, alright?" the eagle said, trying to placate him.

Then she turned to everyone, saying, "What could Ragnarok be doing to make his Domain Power System so usable for his disciples?"

The scholarly young man with glasses said in reply, "Clearly we’re missing something. Maybe what we’ve built is not as perfect as we think."

The large mountain of a tortoise nodded in agreement and said, "Maybe he is offloading the Entropy to his disciples and isn’t bearing its cost as we thought."

But the swordsman shook his head and said, "If that’s so, then his disciples should be falling like flies by now."

"They don’t seem to pay any price to use the Domain Power Metac and are always using it. So if Ragnarok is secretly making them pay the cost of Entropy, they would be dead in a day," the swordsman said, explaining his point.

"Then he must have found a way to increase the efficiency of the System and reduce the amount of Entropy it produces," the black spider-monkey hybrid offered.

Just then, they received a message from their caretakers. It was a domain-wide message sent to every youngling, indicating that it was important.

Their communicator also alerted them with high-pitched alarms, as it does when a high-priority message is received. So everyone stopped what they were doing to look at their communicators to check the message.

When they opened their communicator, they saw a heading that said, "An In-depth Analysis of Domain Power System."

Then the message went on and on, describing every aspect of the Domain Power System. It explained how it works, saying, "The Domain Power System transfers Domain Power to mortal disciples based on the connection between a lever and the true body."

"The connection between the lever and the true body has to be a connection where power can be transmitted between both parties, with the Supreme Metac as the enabler. Artificial connections that transfer power without using the Supreme Metac won’t work."

"Therefore, viable Supreme Metacs include racial Daos like Wolf Supreme Metac, Human Supreme Metac, Dragon Supreme Metac, Hydra Supreme Metac, Barbarian Supreme Metac, etc.

"The racial Daos are Minor Daos that can work without much effort. But if you prefer higher quality Daos, you can use Grand Daos like the Enslavement Pathway, Conquest Pathway, Domination Supreme Metac, etc."

"Not every iteration and essence of the Grand Daos will work for this project. You have to find the right essence in the Dao Paths that allows power to transfer from the true body to the lever. This requirement is what makes using a Grand Dao for the project immensely difficult."

"For example, only the Essence of the Apostle, which allows the Master to designate a slave as an Apostle and transfer power to them, will work in the Enslavement Pathway."

"Out of the 18 essences in the Enslavement Pathway, only one can be used. This reduces the usability of the Enslavement Pathway to 5.56%."

"Nearly every Grand Dao has that level of usability for the Domain Power System. Cosmic Daos are even more difficult to use since they usually have 36 essences. That’s a usability of 2.78%."

"In comparison, Minor Daos only have three essences. So their usability is high at 33.3%. Unfortunately, the power of Minor Daos is weak."

"The sweet spot would be Major Daos with their average essence of 6 counts and usability of 16.67%. The problem is that Major Daos are not useful for this kind of power at all."

"After all, Major Daos are all about the basic elements of the self and the world. It has nothing to do with the transfer of power from one person to another."

"As for the problem of Entropy, you can make the Domain Power System more efficient by using a Celestial Artifact instead of a Divine Artifact. Not only will these reduce the Entropy cost of each operation from 1 unit to 0.1 unit, but the Celestial Artifact can also be used to withstand some of the Entropy."

"This option is more expensive to use than the Divine Artifact. But anyone can use it without fear of suddenly dying. Plus, the Celestial Artifact can bypass the need to fuse the Supreme Metac with your godhead, ensuring that you don’t have to weaken yourself with a Major Dao for the Domain Power System."

The message went on to explain the technical details needed to convert the Divine Artifact into a Celestial Artifact. Every step was simple and easy to understand, so younglings without the Forging Pathway could execute them.

After reading the message, Onslaught said in excitement, "This is great. Screw Ragnarok."

"It is as if the caretakers knew our problem and provided a solution tailor-made for us. So they must be watching us somehow," the eagle said warily.

"Of course, they are watching us," the swordsman said with a scoff. "How do you think they get the information they use for their leaderboards?"
