THE GOD EATER

Chapter 1236: Fight For Power.

In fact, because of what he did, the pressure on the golden mountain increased severalfold, pushing her avatar more than halfway down the mountain. She was now much closer to the bottom of the mountain than to the top, which reflected how far away she was from her goal.

As she assessed her situation, she thought, with her eyes narrowed at him, ’Damn that auction. It gave him too much Celestial Gold.’

’He now has a contribution rate of 89.61%. As for me, I only have a contribution rate of 8.32%. The gap is too wide.’

She thought that the gap between her and Loki was wide, but the gap between her and the rest of the Divine Court was even worse. And the gap between Loki and the rest of the Divine Court was the worst.

On average, the 311 members of the Divine Court have a contribution rate of 0.0067%. Even the third-highest contributor in the Divine Court barely has 0.11%.

Therefore, she was the closest person to threaten Loki’s position as the Mountain Lord. But she wasn’t satisfied with this performance.

’Fortunately, I still have more cards to play,’ she thought with a grin.

She was grinning as she stared at Loki. Then she said to him, "This isn’t over, Ragnarok."

"I know. I don’t need you to tell me that," Loki said nonchalantly, looking down on her from his spot at the top of the mountain.

"Is that so? Then do you know how this will end?" she asked with a smile.

Loki said, "I do not know. But if history is any clue, you will fail and will regret coming here to challenge me."

His words made her explode with laughter. It was as if she had heard the funniest thing in the world.

She didn’t argue with him, though. Instead, she decided to prove her point with her actions. As they say, actions are louder than words.

While she was laughing, the divine constellations in the two super worlds with her Domains began to change. Her true body opened a rift into the lower realm and sent down the projections of two more Supreme Metacs, increasing her total pathways from two to four.

Her two previous pathways were Grand Daos, providing a Domain Power of 4.9 billion square kilometers each, for a total of 9.8 billion square kilometers. Since they were established on two super worlds, she had a total Domain Power of 19,6 billion square kilometers.

The two new pathways were the Deceiver Pathway and Seer Pathway. They are both Minor Daos, providing a Domain Power of 0.9 billion square kilometers each.

(A/N: I have changed the Deceiver Pathway and Seer Pathway from Major Daos to Minor Daos. I realized that they didn’t fit the definition of Major Daos. I’m sorry about that.)

With the two pathways settling into two super worlds, she gained an extra 3.6 billion square kilometers, which improved her total Domain Power to 23.2 billion square kilometers.

This improvement, in turn, raised her contributions from 39,200 to 23.2 billion square kilometers * 2,000, which is 46,400 contribution points.

Unfortunately, this was still nowhere near enough to usurp Loki. So she reluctantly took out an additional 1,000 units of Celestial Gold and dropped it onto the golden mountain.

When the Celestial Gold touched the golden mountain, it melted and sank into it. As the Celestial Gold melted, her contribution rose to 69,600 units.

’Not enough. Not enough at all. It seems I will have to reveal that thing I swore never to reveal,’ she thought, her heart aching.

’I don’t want to, but if I am not going to do my best to usurp him, I should quit now and be done with it instead of dragging this along. Besides, I don’t need to hide my capabilities anymore now that I have a daughter and other Gemini to worry about.’

So she gritted her teeth and released a fifth projection of a Supreme Metac. This projection fell into the two super worlds, increasing the size of each by 2.5 billion square kilometers.

Therefore, her total Domain Power became 28.2 billion square kilometers, and her contribution soared to 86,600 points. For good measure, she took out the last of her savings and contributed it to the Divine Mountain.

She contributed an extra 2,000 Celestial Gold, raising her contribution of Celestial Gold to 5,000. So her total contribution to the Divine Court became 141,000 points.

’That’s it. That’s as far as I can go! Now I have to get more Celestial Gold and establish my Domain on more super worlds,’ she thought as she analyzed her situation.

Then she looked at Loki and said with a smug smile, "What do you think now? Are you surprised? Do you still think this will end with my regret?"

In response, Loki glanced briefly at her and said, "So you’re a five-star celestial. That’s impressive."

He said he was impressed, but he didn’t sound impressed. He didn’t look impressed either. His eyes swept past her calmly before sweeping the area with his Divine Spirit while raising his Divine Perception to the maximum.

He had known she was a five-star celestial right from the moment he saw her avatar join his Divine Mountain. He even knew that her fifth pathway was the Perception Pathway, a Major Dao. So he wasn’t surprised now that she was revealing it.

He had been surprised when he first saw it, though. He didn’t expect that she was hiding even more than she appeared to be hiding.

He had even wondered, thinking, ’I heard that she hid the Human Emperor. I know she hid Golden Sun. I recently found out that she hid Harem King too.’

’Then there are the large worlds and races that she hid. Now it has been revealed that she hid her cultivation depth too. What else is she hiding?’
