Chapter 1287: Fenrir Vs Seal Of Death.

’Both are good, actually. But only one of them can eliminate my weakness,’ he thought, nodding his head.

’The Destruction Dao will surely enhance my offensive capabilities. If I had it, Tepid Scholar and Heavenly Eye wouldn’t be able to escape from me.’

Too many things stood in the way of activating the Devouring Body Supreme Metac. First, the godhead refused to allow a second kind of Supreme Metac within it.

Secondly, the Devouring Body Supreme Metac was trying to rip away control of the divinity within the Devouring Supreme Metac. Thirdly, the Devouring Divine Ability was suppressing the appearance of a second Main Ability near it.

He could only sigh and say, ’Fenrir isn’t the spark of power, after all. Even though I can use the spark of power to force it to accommodate other Supreme Metacs, it still can’t activate them.’

’I should have known. After all, I failed to make my disciples use Metacs from different pathways like I did using Fenrir. So this confirms it: only the spark of power can activate many Supreme Metacs inside it without restrictions and clashes between the Supreme Metacs,’ he thought as he removed the Devouring Body Supreme Metac.

He said that, but he still didn’t give up. He put the Devouring Body Supreme Metac into the Seal of Death to see if he would get a different result.

But the Devouring Body Supreme Metac refused to enter the Seal of Death. No matter how he pressed and pushed, it refused to budge. Even the spark of power couldn’t make the Seal of Death accommodate a different Supreme Metac.

Seeing this, he checked the space within the Seal of Death to make sure that there was room for the Devouring Body Supreme Metac. But there was space, and a lot of it too, so it should be able to contain the Devouring Body Supreme Metac.

Frowning, he tried another Supreme Metac to see if the problem lay with the Devouring Body Supreme Metac. He tried the Formation Supreme Metac. Unfortunately, it still didn’t work.

’What is going on,’ he thought, frowning as he put the Formation Supreme Metac into Fenrir.

Fenrir easily accepted the Formation Supreme Metac after being coerced by the spark of power. But as usual, it refused to activate the Formation Supreme Metac.

Then he put the Freedom Supreme Metac into Fenrir and activated it. As he did so, he thought, ’I hope I haven’t been caught in an illusion of some kind.’

He was worried that he had been hallucinating earlier when he used Fenrir to activate the Freedom Supreme Metac. But when he activated it now, the Freedom Supreme Metac worked.

He still didn’t believe it, so he activated it a second time. However, he paid close attention to the activation process, unlike the first time when he took it for granted.

While examining Fenrir during the activation, he saw that the godhead still refused to allow a second kind of Supreme Metac within it. But the Freedom Supreme Metac behaved like a phantom and evaded the godhead’s suppression.

As impressive as this was, he noticed that what really made the activation work was that the Freedom Supreme Metac didn’t try to rip away control of the divinity within Fenrir, and Fenrir wasn’t suppressing the Freedom Supreme Metac either.

So the two Supreme Metacs worked well together, letting the Freedom Supreme Metac evade suppression of the godhead. But when he put the Freedom Supreme Metac into the Seal of Death, it failed to enter, much less activate.

To see how far the xenophobia of the Seal of Death went, he took a Divine Metac and put it into this second godhead of his. He thought the outcome was set, so he was surprised to see the Seal of Death refuse to admit the Devourer Divine Metac.

’It seems Fenrir is different. It should be able to accommodate Metacs of other pathways because the Devouring Pathway can do this normally.’

’The spark of power has only enhanced what it can do, allowing it to accommodate Divine Metacs without transformation hassle and accept Supreme Metacs,’ he thought, hypothesizing.

’It could also be that Fenrir is different because the spark of power upgraded it naturally to a Cosmic Dao. Who knows?’

’Wait a minute, the Freedom Supreme Metac was also upgraded to a Cosmic Dao by the spark of power. The upgrade was natural too.’

’So Fenrir and the Freedom Metac are the only two who were upgraded to Cosmic Dao without fusing them with other Supreme Metacs. Is that why they can work together?’

"What is the difference between the natural upgrade and the forced upgrade?’ he asked himself, confused.

Then he asked more questions. After that, he spent a few minutes testing different combinations of Supreme Metacs and trying to find answers.

When he couldn’t find an answer, he thought, ’Anyway, it is certain now that I can’t use different Supreme Metacs with Fenrir and my other godheads.’

This time, he was finally giving up on the matter. It wasn’t just lip service, as he didn’t have more combinations to test.

He was a little bit disappointed, but when he remembered just how much benefit he had earned from Fenrir recently, he couldn’t help but smile.

Smiling, he thought, ’I should have 9 Cosmic Daos, 22 Grand Daos, 23 Major Daos, and 18 Minor Daos. That’s 72 Supreme Metacs for a total of 1,212 units of commonality. But thanks to a certain white wolf helping me, I have more than that.’
