Chapter 1294: Ascension Rush.

White Chain’s voice was full of pride as he said, "I convinced the Will of the World to ascend as soon as possible by getting all of us to promise to protect it for a hundred years, no matter who gets to become Mountain Lord after the ascension."

"Then I suggested that we keep this matter from you so that you won’t have time to sabotage it," the six-star celestial said, strutting like a peacock showing off.

Loki ignored him while his true body withdrew his Supreme Metacs from the Blessed Heaven World. As soon as the Blessed Heaven World lost a Dao Lord’s support, it shuddered, and its ascent slowed.

Perhaps the main problem was that his Domain was still on the Blessed Heaven World. A continent 16.2 billion square kilometers in size was still attached to the Blessed Heaven World, but it was no longer connected to a Dao Lord, making it a burden rather than a booster.

The Will of the Blessed Heaven World immediately took action to cut off his Domain. It severed the connection between the Domain and the World, causing the continent to drift outward before falling back into the lower realm.

The other Dao Lords also took action. They used the connection with their Supreme Metacs to pull the Blessed Heaven World up.

Pulling a super world caused the stars in the divine constellation to shine as if they were about to explode. It also consumed a lot of lifespan from the Dao Lords. But with everyone doing their part to help the Blessed Heaven World, the speed of ascent got faster and faster.

"Oh no, you don’t!" Loki said in anger.

He had expected detaching his pathway from the Blessed Heaven World to drag it down until it failed its ascension. Based on what he saw, his move would have worked if all the Dao Lords he killed earlier had stayed dead.

If Martial Will were the only Dao Lord supporting the Blessed Heaven World’s ascension, it would have been a miracle if the super world could ascend at all. If it managed to take off, the speed would be agonizingly slow, and if he had removed his support then, the Blessed Heaven World would surely have collapsed in failure.

But the Blessed Heaven World had replaced the Dao Lords he killed and even gained more support in the form of the Curse Pathway, Seer Pathway, Deceiver Pathway, Vitality Pathway, Speed Pathway, and Defense Pathway.

With six more pathways and the previous thirteen, Blessed Heaven World was stronger than ever before, thwarting his plan. But he wasn’t willing to give up just yet.

Since an indirect method didn’t work, he decided to try a direct method. He had his avatar attack the Blessed Heaven World.

A black ocean of devouring power erupted from his avatar and smashed into the ascending super world. The Blessed Heaven World shuddered again, this time shaking side to side from the force of the collision.

Then the super world’s surface began to disappear as the black ocean worked to erode it. Slowly but surely, the super world was disappearing.

At the rate the black ocean was devouring it, the super world would disappear in at most 15 seconds. But the super world was most likely to fail its ascension before then.

If enough Domains were destroyed, cutting off its connection and support from Dao Lords, the Blessed Heaven World would fail its ascension. At least, that’s what Loki was counting on.

The Will of the World finally showed up to stop Loki. A powerful shield appeared around the world, blocking the black ocean from entering and ravaging it.

The Will of the Blessed Heaven World also said, "You swore not to do anything to damage me until I ascended."

Loki ignored it and intensified his attack. He even began contemplating sending his second avatar so that he could double the pressure on the world.

So far, the Blessed Heaven World was still doing well. It was still rising, and its speed was getting faster. But the cost was a higher energy consumption than normal.

Most of the abnormal energy consumption came from defending against Loki’s attacks. The Blessed Heaven World could protect itself for now, but the cost of its success was too high. At some point, it would reach its limit and would come crashing down.

The Will, sensing its impending demise, shouted to the Dao Lords, "Do something immediately."

Loki sneered as he said, "Do what?"

"No, tell me. What do you want them to do? Do you want them to send down their avatars to stop me?"

"I actually hope they listen to you and send their avatars," he said with disdain.

No matter how he egged them on, no one sent their avatars to fight him. But he wasn’t surprised by this outcome. After all, they would be foolish to stop him.

However, the Dao Lords did do something. Just as he mocked them, he heard a low, deep rumble coming from behind and around him.

When he turned, he saw a super world shaking as it rose into the lower realm’s sky. It was Alpha Peak, and it was ascending to the upper realm.

"Damn it," he cursed.

But things got worse. A third super world began to ascend soon after. It was the Red Sky super world, another one with his Domain on it.

Finally, a fourth super world began to ascend. Now, all four super worlds that had ruled the Sea of Worlds before Wandering Thief’s super world appeared were ascending.

The impact of their ascension hit him immediately. At the very least, he had to decide whether to support their ascension or withdraw his pathway from them.

His first instinct was to deny them his support. But if he did so, he would lose the Domain from four super worlds, which is 44% of his Domain Power. This would weaken him and make it nearly impossible to stop the Blessed Heaven World from ascending.
