Chapter 915: More Stars.

When Loki looked up, he saw six stars in the sky. He knew that one of the stars was supposed to be the phantom of the core of the world. As for the other five, he had never seen them before.

At least, he thought he had never seen the five extra stars before. But when he saw that one of the stars was made of machine parts joined in holy harmony and working in pristine synchrony with one another to create a perfect symphony of metal, he remembered that he had seen this star before.

In order to confirm his suspicions, he used the Power Identification Ability on the star made out of machinery.

Supreme Metac: Forging.

When he saw this, he knew that he had remembered correctly. The Power Identification Ability also showed that the other four stars were Supreme Metacs of various kinds.

The five stars in the sky had different colors. black, golden, white, silver, and translucent like glass. They were all producing light that baptized the world beneath them. However, unlike the normal sun, the light they were producing was toxic to the world.

The most obvious negative impact of the light of the sun was the suppression of the mortals and divine beings. Wherever the light of the stars reached, every pathway that didn’t belong to the star was suppressed.

So everyone who was using Metacs from pathways other than the Forging Pathway was suppressed under the light of the Forging Supreme Metac. This suppression reduced the power of the Divine Metacs for divine beings, but the suppression was worse for mortals.

For mortals, their Core Metacs and Branch Metacs stopped working completely. Because of this, many mortals, whose lives had already been joined with their Core Metacs, began to die.

Cultivators with a Life Ability from rank 3 to rank 5 had their lives put at risk because of the appearance of the stars. Rank 5 cultivators could still resist somewhat, but rank 4 and rank 3 cultivators couldn’t resist. Because of this, rank 3 and rank 4 cultivators began to die in droves.

As people fell down dead for apparently no reason, the mortals scrambled to hide away from the light of the sun. Unfortunately for them, there was no way for them to hide.

The light of the five stars could pass through solid opaque obstacles like walls and soil. So those who hid in basements and cellars could still see the five stars and had to suffer the consequences.

Even burying themselves in the ground didn’t help them escape from the light of damnation. As long as someone was a mortal in the range of rank 3 and rank 5 in the Central Domain, they were at risk of dying.

The only place that could block the light of the unnatural stars was the world barrier. But the world barrier wasn’t a place suitable for living either.

And the appearance of the unnatural stars didn’t happen only in the Central Domain. In the Northern Domain, one star appeared. The light of this star was ever-changing. Because of the appearance of this star, every giant in the Strength Pathway in the Northern Domain was suppressed.

In the South Domain, a blood red star appeared. The bloody star suppressed all of the Sword Pathway cultivators.

In the Eastern Domain, a star that was a ball of numbers and letters appeared in the sky. The numbers and figures in this star were ever-changing, so the appearance of the star wasn’t constant. But the suppression of the Talisman Pathway and the Pill Refinement Pathway was constant.

In the Western Domain, two stars appeared. One of the stars was white, while the other was black. The appearance of these two stars caused the Seer Pathway and the Deciever Pathway to be suppressed.

These ten stars weren’t actually in the first dimension. They were in the third dimension. But their light could bypass the boundaries of dimensions and shine onto the first dimension. This is why none of the mortals or divine beings could hide from the light of the stars.

However, not everyone in the Blessed Heaven World had to suffer because of the appearance of the stars. As long as the mortals didn’t possess any Metac, they wouldn’t experience any discomfort other than light pollution and sunburns. And as long as they didn’t have a Life Ability, they wouldn’t die.

Be that as it may, the suppression that the mortals and divine beings were experiencing was only a portion of what Loki had to experience. After all, the light of all ten stars was shining down on him from across the dimensions.

He was like a rat caught in a jar with ten giants staring down at him with malice. The malice in their eyes shone on him and sought to cripple him.

The crippling would make it easy for the giants to capture and devour him. Or so they thought.

The light of the ten stars was supposed to suppress him. But for some unknown reason, he didn’t feel any ounce of suppression. In fact, he might as well be a lizard basking in the light of the sun. He wasn’t even in danger of being sunburned.

After they pressured him with their existence, one of the stars said to him, "Come to the third dimension. We want to have a word with you."

Loki shook his head and said, "Let’s talk here."

Another star said, "The first dimension is not suitable for talking."

In response, Loki asked, "Why not? Are we not talking now?"

One more star spoke with an angry voice, rebuking him, "Are you daft? Come to the third dimension now, and we may go easy on you."

Maybe they thought they could compel him to obey if they spoke to him in a stern voice and commanded him to do what they asked of him. But Loki only chuckled.

As he chuckled, he said, "That’s a good question, actually. Am I stupid?"
