Chapter 935: The Insidious Offer.

Black Chain’s explanation for the delay wasn’t good enough for Sword Maestro. But the Dao Lord of the Sword Way Sect didn’t dare to lash out at Black Chains.

Instead, Sword Maestro began to beg him. He entreated Black Chains to save him, but no matter how Sword Maestro begged, Black Chains refused to move.

However, the avatar still said to Loki, "When Black Chains enters the world barrier, I swear on my Dao to help you hold him back and kill him as long as you let me go."

"Even if we fail to kill Black Chains, my previous oath is still valid. I will help you to advance to rank 10 as long as you let me go."

Sword Maestro’s words confused Loki a little bit. He understood what Sword Maestro was asking of him. But Loki was particularly confused about the part where the world barrier would attack Black Chains.

So he said, "Why will the world barrier attack Black Chains? Isn’t the world barrier in control of the will of the world? Doesn’t the will of the world support every Dao Lord?"

As he spoke, he punched the avatar in the chest. His fist smashed through the avatar’s body, inflicting severe damage to it. Then he grabbed some of the flesh in the wound and ripped it out.

Clearly, he was curious, which was why he was willing to engage with the avatar and ask a question. But that didn’t mean he was willing to ease off on his attacks just yet.

Even though Loki attacked him, the avatar still answered his question, saying, "Black Chains imprisoned and sealed the will of the Blessed Heaven World. He has been trying to enslave it for a long time."

"That’s just one of the things he has done to offend the Blessed Heaven World. There are many other things he has done, so the will of the world hates him to the bones and will try to kill him with any opportunity it gets."

Loki didn’t entirely believe this explanation, so he said, "I’ll believe it when I see it."

"If what you claim is right and the will of the world will help me to kill him, I might take you up on your deal. Until then, I will keep trying to kill you."

To be honest, Loki was inclined to go with the deal because if Black Chains did come to rescue Sword Maestro in the world barrier, he wouldn’t be able to fight the two of them effectively without his external body.

Without his external body, he won’t be able to use the world around him to fight them. He would have to use his abilities, which would surely split his power output to deal with the two of them.

Plus, he couldn’t replenish his lifespan effectively in the world barrier, so it would be easy for the two of them to overwhelm him. Since he had a chance of losing out, he decided that it was a smart decision to settle for an option that would ensure that he gained some benefits no matter how the fight turned out.

But before he took the deal, he would still try to kill Sword Maestro and Black Chains on his own. He would only take the deal if he had no choice.

Because of this, instead of stopping, he did the opposite and increased the intensity of his attacks. He did this because he wanted to kill Sword Maestro as fast as possible. That way, he would be able to focus on Black Chains when the Dao Lord of the Four Directions Sect finally came.

The avatar also didn’t hold back in their fight. Sword Maestro used everything it had to fight him so as to make itself more difficult to kill and encourage Loki to take his offer.

But aside from the high enthusiasm the avatar had for killing Loki, his enthusiasm couldn’t match the determination of the will of the world to kill him with the world barrier. The will of the world wanted to kill him for damaging the world and also didn’t want him to kill Sword Maestro, so the will of the Blessed Heaven World had two reasons to eliminate him.

The world barrier was able to turn the size and quality of his external body against him to siphon his lifespan. So it was able to siphon 2,743(Domain) × 81(Supreme Metac) × 9(Cultivator Rank) from him.

The rate of his loss of lifespan from the world barrier was 1,999,647 per second. In comparison, each of Sword Maestro’s hits cost him 9(Cultivation Rank) × 49(Supreme Metac) × 9(Divine Metac), which is 3,969 years.

Sword Maestro can hit him at a rate of 750 times per second. So Sword Maestro can remove 3,969,000 years of lifespan from him per second. Combined with the loss of lifespan from the world barrier, Loki was losing 5,968,647 years per second.

By this point, Loki had cut off the arm that used to hold the stick. The arm regrew, but the stick was forever lost in the world barrier.

Sword Maestro didn’t need his stick to fight Loki, though. He used his bare hands and ripped Loki’s flesh to pieces with his claws.

The avatar wasn’t having it easy at all either. The Devouring Ability that Loki was constantly using on him was removing 9(Cultivation Rank) × 81(Supreme Metac) × 9(Divine Metac) × 11(Authority), which is 72,171 years per second.

Because of this vast disparity in the amount of damage they were doing to each other, even if Loki could only strike the avatar at 1,000 times per second, the same attack speed as the avatar, he was still able to inflict 18 times as much damage to the avatar.
