Chapter 998: To Search.

Just as Tepid Scholar wanted to keep ranting, the Sea of Worlds began to shake. Every world in the Sea of Worlds and the void in between the worlds was shaking. In fact, the whole space of the Sea of Worlds was shaking.

All the Dao Lords noticed that everything seemed to be shaking, but they couldn’t be sure about what was happening because they too were shaking.

They didn’t know if the world shaking was shaking them or whether their shaking was making the world shake. But they knew that they felt fear.

They didn’t even know what was causing all of the shaking, but this didn’t stop them from feeling heart-palpitating fear. Even though the source of their fear was unknown, they knew that it was coming and that they should be afraid of it.

No one was talking about what was happening. Everyone was looking up at the sky in expectation of what was about to happen. But they were also doing a lot of thinking.

One of the things they were thinking about was the possibility of the Sea of Worlds being destroyed because of what was trying to enter. As it stood, the chance of such a thing happening was high.

They didn’t know if it was possible for the Sea of Worlds to be destroyed. But if it was possible, now seemed like a good time for it to happen.

Just as they expected, something did come. It tore a hole in the fabric of the Sea of Worlds like a giant tearing off the roof of a toy house. Then it peered through the hole in the roof to look into the Sea of Worlds.

A giant eye suddenly appeared at the top of the Sea of Worlds. The eye seemed bigger than the Blessed Heaven World, which is the biggest world in the Sea of Worlds, so when the eye focused on the Sea of Worlds, it looked like a giant looking at a pebble.

The giant eye was also like a star. It was producing so much light that the entire Sea of Worlds was illuminated.

But strangely, for a star that powerful, most of the light of the eye was concentrated in the Sea of Worlds. Specifically, the light of the eye was concentrated at the spot where the dragon had just been.

Wherever the light of the eye passed, everything became translucent. Nothing could stop the light of the eye, so the world was forced to become a phantom or a hologram of itself.

After inspecting the spot where Loki used to be, the eye closed and left. The sudden source of light disappeared, and the Sea of Worlds was plunged into darkness again.

Only, that’s what seemed to have happened from their perspective. From the perspective of the eye, it never left.

The eye was still in the same spot in space. It was only looking at a different time of the same spot. So while the people of the Sea of Worlds at this point in time thought the eye was gone, a version of it in another time was still seeing the eye in the sky.

Meanwhile, Loki was in the River of Time, rushing into the past. What he was doing could only be described as rushing or fleeing because he was moving at his full speed and he was in a hurry to get away.

He was currently in the form of his golden Divine Spark, but three white crystalline wings had now grown beside the frozen golden flame and were pushing him across the River of Time.

All around him, the multicolored waters of the River of Time were flowing against him. The water was actually made of strings, not physical water. Each individual string had a different color, which was why the River of Time was multicolored.

Within each string was a series of events happening. Because he was moving against the flow of the current, the series of events in the strings was happening backwards. At least, that’s how it looked from his perspective.

From his perspective, he couldn’t see what was happening in all of the strings. He could only see strings showing events related to him and close to him in the River of Time.

By looking at the strings, he could re-watch everything he just did and learn from them. Unfortunately, he was too busy thinking about something else to take advantage of this opportunity.

He didn’t have the leisure for sightseeing at the moment because he was running for his life. He didn’t know what he was running from, only that it was dangerous.

The Danger Sense Metac was setting off alarms in his mind and constantly telling him that he was in a lot of trouble. This all started ever since he used the Spark of Power to combine the size and power of the Time Supreme Metac with the Devouring Supreme Metac.

With the power of 9(Cultivation Rank) × (9(Body) + 9(Mind) + 9(Will) + 9(Soul) + 9(Insight)) × (49(Supreme Metac) × 9(Divine Metac)) × 60,510 million(Domain) × 11(Authority), which was 118,881,274,050 units of divine power, there was no way he could defeat the will of the Blessed Heaven World.

He had to raise his power to 9(Cultivation Rank) × (9(Body) + 9(Mind) + 9(Will) + 9(Soul) + 9(Insight)) × (162(Supreme Metac) × 9(Divine Metac)) × 20,639 million(Domain) × 11(Authority), which was 134,058,354,210 units of divine power.

After he combined the power of two pathways, he was finally able to break free from the hold of the rules that the will of the world had imposed on him. But instead of celebrating, he chose to kill himself and escape into the River of Time for his dear life.

He was in such a hurry to escape that he detonated everything he had on him at that time. He didn’t want anything to drag him down or delay him, so he decisively destroyed everything he had.
