Chapter 1216: Alec’s Ultimate Shield.

# The narrative shifts back to Titan’s City.

Due to being protected by the heavily armored bodies of the Ravager Zergs who could absorb significantly more damage, the rest of the Zerg group were able to advance at a much faster pace.

These Ravagers represented the second-stage evolution of the Zerg species, placing them firmly within the Tier 4 to Tier 6 realm.

While observing the unfolding chaos from the city walkway, Titan suspected this assault was merely another calculated maneuver by the queen lurking in the shadows.

Mid-thought, he detected two hostile presences rapidly closing in on his location, in a flash a shield and a mace formed from solid ice manifested in his hands.

Thrusting his left arm outward, Titan raised his semi-transparent ice shield to block the incoming Stalker Zerg closing in from his left side.

Bang!

A concentrated shockwave exploded upon impact, his cold frost energy collided head-on with the black destructive power of the Stalker Zerg as Titan held his ground against the beast.

For a fleeting second, both forces locked in place, which gave the illusion of equal strength, however this wasn’t true, because in the next second all Titan did was shoved forward with a little force which ended up breaking the deadlock between them; as the kinetic recoil stored within his ice shield discharged, blasting the Stalker Zerg backward at an extreme speed.

Without hesitating for even a second, Titan pivoted his body, leveraging the momentum of the turn to drive his ice mace hard into the head of the second Stalker Zerg that was charging from the right.

As the blow descended, he simultaneously hurled his shield toward the first Zerg he had knocked to the far left with kinetic force.

With that single fluid sequence, he launched both creatures backward to a much safer distance, which gave him time to focus on the other three that were still charging at him.

At the same time, he swiftly threw up his left arm to form a high guard, as he had been anticipating the third Zerg to strike him as it had twisted mid-air to lash out its bone-like whip tail at Titan.

Tangg!

A sharper crack echoed through the air accompanied by a faint shockwave as the bone tail whipped toward Titan, having already raised his left arm into a high guard, he intercepted the attack.

In one fluid motion, he allowed the bony tail to coil around his forearm before yanking hard, and using it to drag the Stalker Zerg off-balance and pulling it directly toward him.

Before the creature could react, a jagged ice spike protruded from Titan’s right hand which he was pushing forward, and he drove it forcefully through the Stalker Zerg’s skull, killing it instantly.

Without missing a beat, he extracted his hand from the beast’s head and hurled its lifeless corpse toward the remaining two Zergs advancing from behind it.

However, both creatures easily evaded the falling body and lunged straight for him, Titan inhaled sharply, before exhaling a torrent of frost energy directly toward the two closing beasts.

Ice encased their exoskeletons as the frost air hit them, yet the two relentless Stalker Zergs, convinced they had backed Titan into a corner, pressed their attack, even when their visibility was low.

After closing the distance, they both launched their tails directly toward his neck, Titan however; managed to block one attack, but the second tail impaled him from behind, as it had struck precisely from his blind spot.

The victorious Zerg instantly erupted into a loud screech, celebrating its kill over the Golem.

However, as it turned toward its companion, it realized the golem it thought it had just slain was right there, not only that, Titan already had his hand clamped onto its ally’s head, infusing it with immense cold energy, which caused the second Zerg’s face to turn an icy blue, and sending its brain into a frozen, paralyzed state.

With a single fluid motion, Titan clenched his fist.

The sheer pressure from that motion, combined with the extreme frost that had made the beast’s skull brittle, shattered its head and destroyed its brain completely.

With that, Titan secured his second kill out of the five Stalker Zergs.

The Stalker Zerg that believed it had pierced Titan’s skull looked back, only to realize its tail was impaled in an ice statue instead, as it attempted to retract its tail, it found the limb firmly stuck, growing heavier by the second as frigid energy surged from the point of impact through the appendage.

And it started to feel like the icy statue seemed to be channeling the same freezing power Titan had used against its companion, realizing the danger, the creature’s eyes bulged in panic.

It raised its bladed arm to sever its own tail and break the connection to the statue, but Titan’s spell casting was way faster than his movements.

The moment Titan activated the spell imbued within the statue, it detonated in a brilliant flash of icy blue light. Instinctively, the two Stalker Zergs that first attacked him that had been dashing back raised their bladed forearms to shield their eyes from the blinding glare.

Yet, while the blast temporarily disoriented them, however; Titan remained entirely unaffected by the sudden eruption of ice elemental particles.

On the contrary, the surge of frost magic seemed to empower him, as he bursted through the billows of fog and smoke, he advanced with a newly manifested ice weapon gripped firmly in hand.

Catching sight of a shadowy outline emerging rapidly through the haze, the nearest Stalker Zerg realized the attack was aimed directly at its head and swiftly raised its arm to guard against the incoming blow.

However, as Titan brought his mace down, it shattered the creature’s guarding limb with zero resistance, before the Stalker Zerg could even open its jaws to screech in agony, Titan thrust his left fist straight toward its head as if to strike it.

The instant his clenched fist reached its mark, a sharp ice spike shot forward, piercing completely through the Zerg’s skull and exiting the back, killing it instantly.

At that precise moment, his danger sense flared as his mental senses that were surrounding it detected something, an orb of dense energy hurtling toward him from another direction.

Without a moment’s hesitation, Titan dispelled all his active conjurations, seized the freshly slain Zerg corpse, and hoisted it up as a makeshift shield.

Just as Titan repositioned the corpse, a massive orb of dark-green energy, which was brimming with potent toxins, slammed directly into the back of the Stalker Zerg.

The corrosive blast instantly dissolved the carcass, blasting a hole completely through it and revealing the attacker standing beyond.

Realizing its sneak attack had failed, the last surviving Stalker Zerg spun around in an attempt to flee. However, Titan acted faster: conjuring a massive ice axe, he hurled it straight at the fleeing beast.

Whirling through the air at blinding speed, the blade severed the creature’s head before spinning back in a smooth arc directly to Titan’s waiting grip.

“I am TITAN, an Ice Lord Golem and the first Golem Lord under Alec Gordon, sovereign of this domain! I stand as my master’s ultimate shield—so stop hiding behind these pathetic weaklings and face me yourself!” Titan bellowed, his voice resounding after coating it with mana.
