When Sunday came along, Tong Xuelu took the rest of the day off after she was done with grocery shopping to take the siblings to the department store.It was the first time the four of them went shopping together and Tong Jiaming and the others were super excited.
After they had arrived at the shopping center, the three siblings looked around them nonstop. Luckily, almost everyone else behaved the same way back in those days. They did not stand out among the others.
That being said, Tong Xuelu still felt that they were not worldly enough. She would spend more on showing them the rest of the world after she quit her job at the restaurant.
Tong Jiaxin cried out suddenly, “Second Brother, look over there. That’s the shoe section. Let’s hurry up and go over there!”
Tong Xuelu said, “Alright, let’s head over there. But don’t be shouting in public, okay?”
Tong Xuelu blushed a little. “But the others shout too.”

Tong Jiaming and Tong Mianmian both nodded. Tong Jiaxin quickly nodded as well.
Nothing could go wrong if he just do what his Second Brother and little sister do.
Walking over to the shoe rack, Tong Jiaming’s eyes were glued to the Huili sneakers. Even his eyeballs stopped moving.
Tong Xuelu said to the salesperson, “Please show us a pair of size 35 white sneakers.”
The salesperson grabbed a pair of white sneakers from the display case and said haughtily, “You can’t try them on. Just hold it up against your foot and look.”
Tong Xuelu, “What if they don’t fit after we bought them?”
The salesperson, “You know what size you wear. Why wouldn’t it fit?”
Tong Xuelu was very speechless about the salesperson’s attitude back then.
Her eyes rolled and she asked, “I’m the manager of East Wind Restaurant. Do you know why I started selling Malatang?”
When the salesperson heard that Tong Xuelu was the manager of East Wind Restaurant, her eyes widened like cow eyes. “Are you really the manager of East Wind Restaurant?”
Tong Xuelu pulled out her ID badge. “Why would I lie about such a thing?”
The salesperson’s eyes sparkled. “So you are the Manager Tong who defeated a bunch of male managers and chefs. I loved your beef meatballs. Go ahead and try the shoes on. Do whatever you please.”

She had yet to tell the salesperson why she started selling malatang and had already won her over with her charm.

The man has a medium build and his look decent. He had light skin tone. He had a feminine look for a man and was quite good looking.
He, however, was not Tong Xuelu’s type.
Fang Jingyuan introduced the two shyly. “Xuelu, this is my boyfriend Xiang Peng. Big Brother Xiang, this is my friend Comrade Tong.”
Xiang Peng’s lips curved and he said, “Jingyuan talks about you a lot. It is an honor to finally meet you.”
His lips were red and his teeth white when he smiled. If he was to put on woman’s clothing, he would totally pass for a woman.
Tong Xuelu, too, smiled. “It’s an honor to meet you as well. It’s windy outside. C’mon in.”
