"Babe, now that this threat is handled, are we going back home?" Kyana asked while lying on Kai’s lap.

"Absolutely not! My plans weren’t to visit every continent to help them out; it was to have fun and do what I want. It’s just that Aion got in the way of everything and I had to handle all this bullshit."

"So what are we going to do now?" Sasha asked, her boobs on top of Kai’s head.

"We’re going to go adventuring! Let’s call the rest of the squad!"

"What!? What’s wrong with adventuring?! Don’t be a party pooper!" Kai thought this would be a great time to get the band back together.

"It’s just so...not us anymore." Kyana was so used to the large-scale battles now that doing Adventuring work wouldn’t even be fun anymore.

"How so?"

She explained her thoughts.

"Lame! Do you see who I am? I don’t find it boring." If anything, Kai should find lots of things boring since he was a god, but he learned how to make things fun.

"I mean, you’re right, but...idk."

Kai paused. "Did you just say ’IDK’?"

"Yeah. Cassie told me that it stands for ’I don’t know’ on another planet."

"Yeah, I know what it means, it’s just weird hearing you say that. Besides, it’s mainly used for texting, not speaking. That’s like saying ’lol’ or ’lmao’ out loud. It’s weird."

"Lol."

"You rat!"

"If you’re looking for an adventure, I can tell you about one that will make you all have fun." Telia walked into the room, looking pretty exhausted.

"Wow, you look like you got the divine power drained out of you." Kai chuckled

"That’s what I’m going to do to you after we fuck."

"Ha!" Sasha found it funny to see a woman match Kai’s sexual energy.

"What kind of adventure are you going to send us on?" Kai hoped it was filled with danger and wasn’t a silly goose chase. Then again, there wasn’t really anything that would put him in danger, but the thrill was still there.

"I’m going to task you with finding the hero." Telia smiled

"The hero? You know, now that I’m thinking of it, I’ve never met the hero of this land. Did she die or something, and you want me to find her remains?"

"No, she’s alive, just...trapped."

Kai leaned forward, Sasha’s boobs sliding off his head. "Explain."

"You see, the hero, she’s trapped in a time loop."

Kyana’s ears perked up, and she lifted her head too fast, knocking into Kai’s chin.

"Arghhh! Fucking hell! My chin! Did you want to break my jaw, woman?"

"Me?! No one told you to have your fucking coconut head over my face! Jeez, I feel like you split my skull open!"

"I just have a strong chin!"

Telia found their bickering very warming and liked their family dynamic.

"Anyway, I was going to ask you how she got trapped in a time loop before this gorilla shoved his chin on my forehead."

Kai wanted to retaliate, but Sasha covered his mouth, so his response was muffled.

"You see, it was a long time ago, around a thousand years. A deity landed on our continent and was accompanied by a villain who was attacking her. During that time, my mother, the hero, and I went to confront this threat and aid the goddess, but we all failed."

Kai made a mental note to ask Leo who this god was.

"With her dying breath, she trapped the villain in a timeloop so he wouldn’t be able to escape and cause harm to other worlds. However, during that process, the man was about to escape, so the hero sacrificed herself to force him into the time loop, never to be seen again."

"How unfortunate." Sasha felt bad for her.

"She wasn’t the only one we lost that day. You see, the battle took place within a city, and the city was also trapped in the timeloop."

"Question." Kai raised his hand.

"Yes, student Kai."

"Is the timeloop replaying everything that happened, or is it simply keeping people locked in that time instead, like a time prison?"

"Hmm, now that I’m thinking about it, it is more like a time prison than a loop. My mother isn’t able to look into the distorted time, but she can feel the temporal energies around the city. She told me that temporal energy is smooth and isn’t fluctuating. If it were fluctuating, then time would be looping."

Kyana raised her hand this time. "How would we be able to find the city if it’s stuck in a time prison? The city doesn’t exist in this time period anymore."

Telia looked at Kai. "Shouldn’t he be able to mess with time?"

Telia snorted. "Heh, father."

"But in all seriousness, you don’t need to rewind time or anything like that," Telia explained. "You only need to withstand the temporal fluctuations. If you can, then you should be fine. And since you’re a god, this should be no problem for you."

If that were the case, then Aera would have handled the situation a long time ago, but the hero was still missing, so Kai knew that there was a missing piece of information.

"There’s a but, right?"

"Always. Ahem, first, this temporal zone can only be accessed by outer gods, such as yourself. How do I know this? Well, the goddess who crashed here was one, and my mother is NOT one. Second, you have to watch out for the time-eating monsters."

"Time eating monsters?" Sasha got excited. If she could sell the body parts of a time-eating monster, she would become super rich, not that she needed the money.

Kai frowned. "I don’t think that’s what it means."

"For us, no, but for the Chrono-Beasts, that’s a different story."
