Chapter 704: Eira’s Human Form
Chapter 704: Eira’s Human Form
"Brother, something’s happening to Eira! Her eggshell is shaking—it looks like she’s about to hatch!"
Nolan froze when he heard that. He quickly jumped to his feet and motioned for Obsidia and Malverna to leave.
The two understood immediately and vanished from sight.
Nolan turned toward the voice and saw Elina running toward him, her face pale.
"What happened?" Nolan asked, startled.
Elina was out of breath as she explained, "Something’s happening to Eira! She might hatch at any moment!"
"Oh?" Nolan’s eyes widened in surprise. "That’s great news! I’ve really missed that little dragon. I can’t wait to see her again."
He immediately walked past Elina.
"Let’s go."

Inside the room, a massive egg floated in midair. It was over a meter tall.
A reddish-black light seeped from its surface, pulsing like a living vein.
Nolan, Rafine, and Elina stood not far away, watching it with different expressions.
"Brother, is Eira going to hatch soon?" Elina asked anxiously.
Rafine also looked uneasy. She stared at Nolan, clearly waiting for his answer.
Nolan smiled and reassured them. "It’s fine. That little dragon is indeed about to hatch. Just wait."
He and Eira were connected through their souls, which was why he could sense her condition so clearly.
Elina and Rafine didn’t say anything else, but the worry on their faces remained obvious.
Second by second, time passed, yet the egg still showed no signs of cracking.
But suddenly, a cracking sound came from the egg.
Crack!
At first, the crack was small. But as the seconds passed, it spread wider and wider until it snaked across the entire shell.
"Oh! It’s about to hatch!" Nolan’s eyes lit up.
The moment he said that, the egg exploded, and shards of shell flew in every direction.
Nolan, Elina, and Rafine instinctively raised their arms to shield their faces.
A few moments later, they lowered their arms and turned back—only to witness something astonishing.
Sitting among the broken eggshell was a beautiful little girl, about six or seven years old.
She had short silvery-white hair that reached her shoulders.
Two small horns protruded from the top of her head. Her face was round, her cheeks chubby, giving her an adorable appearance.
Her eyes were large, a deep shade of purple. She wore a white dress that fit her perfectly.
"Mmh..." the little girl groaned softly, rubbing her eyes before looking up and meeting Nolan’s gaze.
She blinked a few times, and her eyes suddenly brightened like starlight.
"Master!" she cried.
She tried to stand, but her legs wobbled and she nearly fell.
A moment later, she steadied herself and ran straight into Nolan’s arms, throwing herself against him.
"Master, I missed you so much!"
She wrapped her arms tightly around his waist and rubbed her chubby cheeks against his stomach.
Elina and Rafine finally snapped out of their shock. They looked at each other, then exclaimed in unison, "That girl is Eira!"
Nolan was just as stunned. He looked down at the little girl, who clung to him like a spoiled child.
He lifted her high into the air and studied her face carefully.
"You... Eira?"
Eira blinked innocently, then puffed out her cheeks in a pout.
"If it’s not me, then who else would it be?" she asked, clearly dissatisfied.
Nolan fell silent for a moment before a faint smile appeared on his lips.
’So Arnold was right... dragons really do go through four phases in their lives,’ he murmured in amazement.
The four phases he referred to were the baby dragon stage—like when Eira first hatched—followed by the child stage, the adolescent stage, and finally the adult stage.
These stages were similar to humans, except for the baby dragon phase. And each phase normally lasted an extremely long time.
For example, the transition from baby dragon to child dragon usually took fifty to a hundred years.
Yet Eira hadn’t needed nearly that long. If Nolan hadn’t miscalculated, it hadn’t even been half a year since he found her in egg form in the Kingdom of Kaldarion.
That meant her growth from baby dragon to child dragon had been shortened by almost ninety-nine percent.
And the reason was obvious—the chaos power Nolan had bestowed upon her.
Eira was different from ordinary dragons. Even while still inside her shell, she had been given a powerful potion Nolan obtained from Sky Island, along with a massive amount of chaos power.
Even Arnold had once said that Eira would become a dragon far stronger than him.
So it was no surprise that she had entered the child phase this quickly.
"Alright, alright, I’m sorry." Nolan pulled her into a hug and gently pinched her chubby cheek. "Now that you’re back, let’s have some fun."
Eira’s eyes lit up with joy, and she nodded without hesitation.
"That’s a great idea! I want to eat chocolate!"
Nolan chuckled softly. Most dragons loved meat and blood, but Eira was different. The little dragon loved chocolate more than anything, as if she had been born for it.
"Alright. We’ll buy lots of chocolate—ten boxes."
"Wow! Ten boxes!" Eira clapped excitedly and wrapped her arms tightly around Nolan’s neck. "I love you, Master!"
Nolan simply smiled. He turned to Elina and Rafine, gave them a small nod, and walked away with Eira.
The two women exchanged helpless glances.
"This mansion will be much livelier with Eira around," Elina said with a light laugh.
Rafine nodded in agreement, but then something suddenly came to her mind and her face turned pale.
Noticing the change, Elina blinked. "What’s wrong?"
Rafine took a deep breath, then shook her head stiffly.
"I-It’s nothing. I just thought of something... something that makes me uneasy."
Even so, her heart was pounding.
She recalled Eira’s words before the little dragon fell into her long slumber.
"I want to marry Master in the future!"
At the time, Rafine had dismissed it as childish nonsense. After all, Eira was a dragon. How could she possibly marry Nolan?
But now, that confidence was gone.
Eira had transformed into a human.
Rafine had once read about dragon evolution—how they progressed from the child stage to adolescence and then adulthood.
Given how quickly Eira was developing, wasn’t it possible that within one or two years, she would reach her adult form?
If that happened, her dream of becoming Nolan’s wife wouldn’t be impossible at all.
’No, no, no! I can’t let that happen!’ Rafine gritted her teeth. ’No one is allowed to have Nolan but me—not even Eira!’
Beside her, Elina stared at Rafine’s shifting expression in confusion.
"What’s wrong with her?"
