Chapter 517 - What Are Your Intentions?

A week before the wedding, all the female family members moved out of the Fu villa and went to live in Jia Li and Fu Hua's duplex which has already been cleaned up by the servants.

Before leaving for the last day of work before her wedding, Jia Li packed her bags by herself before leaving the Fu mansion. Her mother-in-law had already told her that she would bring her bags along to the place, so she didn't have to carry them to work.

Thinking that they would not see each other till 6 days later, Jia Li gave Fu Hua a deep hug and smooched him all over his face before leaving for work.

During the lunch break, Jia Li gave out her wedding invitation cards to her colleagues she had a close relationship with and they were shocked that she was having a wedding.

"Wtf! I thought you were married! I mean, I thought you have already done a wedding." One of them said in shock while staring at Jia Li.

"I am surprised as well with this invitation but I am happy for you," Linda said with a smile.

"Yes JL, we are super happy for you. At least you are inviting us to such a high-profile wedding we may never get to attend." Another one said with a smile.

"But why do I not hear anyone talking about this big wedding? I mean, this is not a small occasion and it should occupy the headlines and billboards for a month!" One of the males said with a proud smile.

Jia Li seemed to have recalled something and she immediately said to them, "Please, don't tell the outsiders about the wedding, I will officially announce it a day before wedding, I don't want too much attention."

"Oh! JL, you are too humble for my liking. If I were to be in your shoes, nobody will rest, I will make sure to stress the whole world." One of the ladies said while making big gestures.

Linda smiled and replied, "That is why you are not JL." and the others chuckled heartily.

"Thanks to this wedding, I can finally show my good fashion sense out to the world." Another female said with a wink.

"JL, you have to make sure the media attention is on us, cause I have to show off the dress I made."

"JL, you have to introduce me to any handsome single brother out there..."

Just like that, Jia Li's colleague's started bugging them about her wedding but she was patient to listen to them rant about her big day.

It was really fun listening to her colleagues talk about how they would prepare for the wedding, like the bags and shoes they would order and where to get their hair and makeups done.

Since Marié's ugly act online, she has not been associating much with the others but she was still as audacious as she was. Right now, she was not with them because she was still working on something in the office.

Jia Li did not need to give Sunny an invite because Fu Hua would do that himself. After work, Fu Hua kidnapped her forcefully in the underground park and asked Zimo to send her car back home, while he took her out for dinner.

"You really have your way in all things. I just told you that mother was preparing dinner for me but you still did what you wanted." Jia Li said with a sigh.

Fu Hua smiled and said, "Don't you want to spend an evening with your husband? Thinking about how I'm going to sleep alone on that big bed for 6 more times makes me want to go crazy."

"You just have to wait for 6 days, it's not long." Jia Li said.

It was just 6 days of not being in each other's arms and she didn't think it was that far. Besides, it's not like he would be alone in the house, there are male family members to keep him company at home.

"You just said that 6 days is not long? Have you ever missed me before?" Fu Hua asked with his gaze on her.

"Of course, when you go on business trips and I feel your absence because you have left for some days." Jia Li replied immediately.

She indeed used to miss him when he went on business trips that would take him longer than 3 days.

Without knowing that her reply has given Fu Hua an idea, she smiled and looked through the window.

"Since you only miss me when I go on business trips, I have to get your attention now." Fu Hua muttered under his breath.

Fu Hua took Jia Li to a fancy restaurant to have an expensive and delicious dinner over a bottle of wine.

Jia Li didn't want to eat too much so she would still have space in her stomach to eat the food her mother-in-law had specially prepared for her but Fu Hua had other plans. Since his mother stopped him from seeing Jia Li in her wedding dress and also living together with her, he wanted to get back at her, so he made sure Jia Li finished half bottle of the red wine he ordered, then for the food, he made sure she ate a lot and only stopped when he saw the small bulge on her stomach.

A satisfied smile played on Fu Hua's lips after his plans worked out. Jia Li looked a little tipsy now and she felt that her head was spinning.

"Do you want to rest in a room before I send you back, Jasmine and the rest can't see you in this state?" Fu Hua asked with an evil smile. He seemed to be enjoying the result of his plans.

"You knew very well that my state will be this embarrassing, yet you forced me to finish half bottle of wine plus so many dishes." Jia Li said as she massaged her temples with her fingers.

Fu Hua smiled devilishly and leaned in to whisper to her, "Don't you want to know what my intentions are?"

Jia Li leaned away from him and asked, "What are your intentions?"

"Don't worry, you will find out soon. Let's get a room first.." Fu Hua replied with a smirk.
