Chapter 17: Important to Escape

Su Wan owed her courage to the after-effect of alcohol. In a daze, she let go of Jiang Xuecheng and collapsed in his embrace.

Although a great beauty was in his embrace, it was torture for Jiang Xuecheng. He wished to cut this devil into pieces!

Su Wan held on to Jiang Xuecheng tightly. The fragrance emitted from her body was mixed with the sweet smell of red wine. The thing that was toyed around by Su Wan was now energetic and it was something Jiang Xuecheng could not ignore.

Jiang Xuecheng’s long and narrow eyes now appeared terrifying. If Su Wan was awake, she would definitely run at the sight of his flaming eyes.

It was too bad that she was asleep now and still hugging onto the bomb that might explode at any time.

Jiang Xuecheng’s arrogance would never allow him to be treated as a replacement. He clearly understood that at least for now, he would not touch this woman.

What he wanted was for Su Wan to clearly know who he was while she was fully conscious.

Jiang Xuecheng got up and looked at this heartless woman who had caused endless harm to him.

The gloomy Jiang Xuecheng stared at Su Wan’s crimson cheeks and finally did something unbridled. He pressed his lips against hers and after some time, managed to make her lips swell a little.

Stupid woman, this was real kissing. Her previous kiss could only be regarded as messing around.

However, Jiang Xuecheng thought it was still too easy on her if he just let her go like this…

Hence, he added a few of his personal exclusive marks on her neck so that when she woke up the next morning, she would know the price she had to pay for messing with him!

Finally, he unwillingly headed upstairs to take another shower. Sigh, three showers a day was a first even for Jiang Xuecheng, who was a mild clean freak.

He doubted this was the end of the exceptions he would make for her.

The next morning, Su Wan awoke late in the morning. As Jiang Xuecheng had gone to the office, Su Wan did not see him.

Su Wan touched her hazy eyes. She could not recall last night’s incident. She yawned and walked out of the room. She was shocked when she saw a middle-aged woman sweeping the floor outside her room.

The middle-aged woman was the one whom Jiang Xuecheng had summoned over to his house last night—Aunty Fang.

“Hello, and you are?” Su Wan asked in a friendly manner. She thought this may be a maid Jiang Xuecheng employed.

This aunty would probably know the passcode of the house. She was a person she could not offend.

Aunty Fang raised her head and caught sight of the red marks on Su Wan’s fair neck. Then, she smiled warmly.

“Hello, Miss Su, I’m Young Master’s family maid. You may call me Aunty Fang. I’ve prepared a toothbrush, towels, and some toiletries. You may go upstairs and clean yourself up first, breakfast will be ready in a while.”

Su Wan liked Aunty Fang, whose smile was plain and warm. She returned a smile and went to the washroom following Aunty Fang’s directions.

Su Wan took out the new toothbrush happily but suddenly saw the faint red marks on her neck in the huge bathroom mirror.

In a flash, some of her memories when she was drunk rushed back into Su Wan’s mind. They were so clear, Su Wan was panic-stricken.

Last night, she remembered turning into a wolf and doing something horrible to Jiang Xuecheng but she couldn’t remember what happened next.

God, please help me!

Su Wan swore she would never drink alcohol again. Drowning one’s sorrows with alcohol was a lie. Being in a drunken stupor was a huge lesson for her!

Su Wan felt like weeping but had no tears. She splashed water onto her face again and again. She then tried to rub away the red marks but to no avail. Instead, the marks became more obvious. Su Wan helplessly pulled her collar higher to cover the marks.

Su Wan returned to the hall and saw Aunty Fang busy with her chores. She blushed and felt unnatural, unlike just a while ago.

“Miss Su, please come and have breakfast. I’m not sure if the food I’ve prepared is to your liking.”

Su Wan moved closer to the table and saw gratifying crab dumplings in soup, fresh fermented glutinous rice balls, and steaming hot fish congee. However, she had no appetite thinking of last night’s incident.

Watching Su Wan eating her congee as if it was insipid, Aunty Fang was at a loss. “Miss Su, is it tasteless?”

When she sensed that Aunty Fang had seen her emotions, Su Wan quickly picked up a crab dumpling and said smilingly, “How could it be? It’s delicious. Maybe I’ve just woken up and my appetite isn’t good.”

Aunty Fang smiled in relief. She took a bag from under the table. “Miss Su, these are your clothes. I’ve washed them and kept them after changing you out of them, although Young Master had asked me to throw them away.”

Su Wan nearly choked on her congee. “Aunty Fang, you dressed me yesterday?”

“Yes. Did you think it was Young Master…”

Aunty Fang was stupefied. She saw Su Wan’s expression change and felt something amiss, so she stopped abruptly.

Su Wan gripped the crab dumpling tighter with her chopsticks to release her anger but after seeing the gravy flowing out of the dumpling, she was still angry. D*mn Jiang Xuecheng, was it fun to lie to her?

Aunty Fang was shocked with Su Wan’s gesture. So, she softly asked, “Miss Su, what happened?”

“Nothing. I’m done eating…”

As if waking out from a dream, Su Wan put down her chopsticks in embarrassment and finally let go of the innocent crab dumpling.

Then, she recalled something important. She smiled as she asked Aunty Fang, “Aunty Fang, where is the exact location of this place in S City? Could you also lend me your mobile phone?”

Aunty Fang was cleaning up and was taken aback. Firstly, she informed her that this place was Fontainebleau. Then, she shoved her phone to Su Wan.

Su Wan’s eyes were sparkling and she was overjoyed. It was good to know the place. Finally, she could leave this place. Jiang Xuecheng was indeed her nightmare!

Su Wan dialled Lin Fei’er’s number based on what she could recall from memory. “Hello, Fei’er? Is that you? I’m Su Wan…”

On the other end of the phone, she could hear a female voice full of vitality. “Su Wan, you heartless fellow, why the sudden urge to call me? Have you returned?”

“Don’t you know that long distance calls are expensive? I care for you too.” Su Wan laughed before she turned more serious. “Fei’er, can you do me a favour?”

“Let’s get to the point, don’t beat around the bush!”

They had not met for three years and Fei’er was still so direct. When she heard her cheerful laughter, Su Wan’s mood lightened up.

“Due to some of my personal matters, I can’t go home now. Can I stay at your place temporarily for a period of time?”

Su Wan let out a sigh of relief when Lin Fei’er agreed to her request briskly. She continued, “Fei’er, are you free this afternoon? I’ve lost my purse. Can you pick me up? I’m at Fontainebleau.”

“No problem. I’m now single and available, so I’m free any time. Beautiful Su Wan, I’ll come and pick you up.”

Su Wan ended the call feeling great but then she saw Aunty Fang’s worried look.

Aunty Fang asked softly, “Miss Su, are you planning to leave?”
