The Indifferent Young Master’s Flash Marriage

Chapter 49 - Brown Sugar Ginger Soup

Chapter 49: Brown Sugar Ginger Soup

The female salesperson bit her lip and finally gave directions. “Mr. Jiang, you’ll find the best brand of sanitary pads if you look to your left, on the first row of the third shelf.”

Jiang Xuecheng went inside and came out with the item. The female salesperson suddenly envied the blessed woman.

Mr. Jiang had lowered his dignity to do this. She wondered how pretty this woman must be to have him come out in the middle of the night to buy women’s personal essentials.

After Jiang Xuecheng paid for the item, the female salesperson suddenly realized she had taken an interest in the private affair of the property owner which she shouldn’t have.

Fontainebleau was the most high-end villa in S City and the privacy of the property owners was of utmost importance. If one was nosy and asked about something which was not supposed to be asked, one would suffer more than just losing their job.

However, Jiang Xuecheng did not notice the female salesperson’s thoughts. He was currently worried about Su Wan, who wasn’t feeling well. He heard that many girls would suffer from menstrual cramps at such times of the month.

He hoped Su Wan would not get this. She should be a person who feared pain.

When he arrived home, and went into the room, Jiang Xuecheng saw Su Wan curled up in a corner. She was holding the pillow tightly and her face was ghastly pale.

Jiang Xuecheng worriedly quickened his steps toward her. He used a towel to wipe off the cold sweat on Su Wan’s forehead.

“Wan Wan, are you alright? I’ve bought the pads.”

Su Wan forced a faint smile. She grabbed the pads which Jiang Xuecheng had placed by the side with one hand while her other hand pressed on her abdomen, which now hurt.

“I’m alright. I get cramps when my period comes. It has always been like that. I’ll go and get changed first.”

Upon hearing that it wasn’t the first time Su Wan suffered from menstrual cramps, his worries increased…

Jiang Xuecheng pursed his lips when he saw the stained bedsheet. He started removing the soiled bedsheet and replaced it with new bedding with a drawing of Chinese porcelain.

After he had completed, he took out his mobile phone to read more about menstrual cramps and remedies to reduce the pain.

Just then, Su Wan came out of the bathroom. Jiang Xuecheng raised his head and saw that her face looked worse than it previously was, as if the pain had intensified.

Jiang Xuecheng was slightly alarmed. He went forward to support Su Wan.

When his hand touched hers, Jiang Xuecheng could feel her cold hands. He quickly rubbed her hands with his.

Su Wan felt a warm current flowing through her heart when she felt the warmth of that big pair of hands. She smiled weakly and muttered, “Thank you.”

Jiang Xuecheng’s eyes were deep. He carried Su Wan and carefully wrapped her up in a thick blanket.

“Still painful? Wait for a while. I’ll boil some brown sugar ginger soup for you.”

He had just found out from the Internet that drinking brown sugar ginger soup would help with menstrual cramps. Brown sugar would enrich the blood and ginger soup would dispel chill. So, this soup was beneficial for people with menstrual cramps.

Coincidently, he had both these items at home. So, Jiang Xuecheng went to the kitchen to boil brown sugar ginger soup for Su Wan.

When Jiang Xuecheng brought the hot soup to Su Wan, she was still pale and low in spirits. His heart ached a little.

Jiang Xuecheng carefully leaned Su Wan against the soft cushion and fed Su Wan with a small spoon.

He had a serious look on and that pair of eyes that cherished her made Su Wan blush with shyness.

Apart from being fed by her parents when she was young, she had never been fed by anyone else. Since she was an adult now, she felt weird about it.

“I’ll do it myself. I don’t want to trouble you.”

Jiang Xuecheng shook his head stubbornly. His dark eyes were energetic. “I’ll feed you. I like it.”

Jiang Xuecheng was actually a man with strong desire to possess someone or something.

Because of their relationship, Su Wan didn’t want to decline this kind of intimacy. To avoid awkwardness and shyness, she started a conversation.

“It tastes good.”

Jiang Xuecheng looked at Su Wan from above. His smile was exquisite and gentle. “Erm, but it’s late now. Don’t drink too much. Ginger is spicy and you might not be able to sleep if you drink too much.”

Su Wan took a few sips of brown sugar ginger soup. Jiang Xuecheng’s rare gentleness had moved Su Wan and she felt a part of her stiff heart relax a little.

If Jiang Xuecheng could treat her wholeheartedly, she would learn to be a good wife.

Jiang Xuecheng placed the leftover soup down and wiped Su Wan’s mouth with an embroidered handkerchief.

“How is it? Feeling better?”

That pair of dark eyes like cold pools in the autumn were now staring at her. Su Wan’s heart swung and was slightly flustered.

Su Wan lowered her head unnaturally. “Better, thank you, Jiang…Xuecheng.”

The man noticed her nervousness. He tilted Su Wan’s chin with his long fingers and kept staring at Su Wan as if wanting to see what was inside Su Wan’s heart.

“Is it so difficult to call me Xuecheng? Wan Wan, why do you lower your head every time you see me?”

Su Wan’s eyes reflected that perfect handsome face. Her heart no longer hesitated. She looked up and said firmly, “I won’t do it again! Xuecheng, Xuecheng!”

Each call of his name was firmer than the previous, creating ripples in both their hearts.

From now, she was Jiang Xuecheng’s wife and he would be the man she would spend the rest of her life with.

Jiang Xuecheng smile, satisfied with her answer. “Alright, it’s late now, let’s sleep.”

Su Wan nodded gently and saw Jiang Xuecheng removing his black velvet night robe slowly.

Su Wan’s face turned red. The man’s body was flawless, just like his face. He was tall and slender, and his well-defined abs were tempting people to touch them.

Jiang Xuecheng saw Su Wan staring at him and there was mischief in his eyes. He moved his muscles a bit to show off to Su Wan.

“Do you like it?”

Su Wan pretended not to hear him and with a guilty conscience, turned her head to the side.

Jiang Xuecheng tilted her head over to face him and his hand was caressing Su Wan’s face and finally stopped on her moist, red lips.

“Are you afraid of me? Since today isn’t convenient for you, I won’t take you…”

Such direct tease! Su Wan was not stupid. She fully understood what he meant.

Su Wan brushed away his hand and turned her body trying to ignore this big ruffian.

In the end, Jiang Xuecheng kept puffing beside her ears and Su Wan couldn’t sleep.

“Wan Wan, you’re heartless. Do you know that when your period suddenly came, it almost caused internal injury to that part in front of me…?”

When she recalled the earlier scene, Su Wan was even more shy. She was fuming with anger and didn’t want to turned her head. “Internal injury? So be it.”

Jiang Xuecheng was amused looking at her appearance. He then helped to tuck away the strands of hair that had fallen on her cheeks.

“Aren’t you afraid that part of me would develop a disorder? Do you want to live as a grass widow?”

She heard that if men were to suppress and not release, it wouldn’t be good for their health. Jiang Xuecheng wouldn’t be unable to perform sexual intercourse in future, would he?
