Chapter 2415: Who he would become - Song recommendation Protectors of the Earth from Two Steps From Hell

Lex himself did not know that among the eight of the beings above the Dao Lord realm that inhabited his universe, he had met four, and had connections to five!

A tornado of energy and karma surrounded the necklace, growing at such a spectacular speed that it could not be ignored. Even those immortals who did not know or understand karma within the Joro realm could sense it. Even the mortals who could not sense laws could sense the depth and enormity of the energy tornado that was rising in a random corner of the Joro realm.

If even Immortals and mortals could sense it, how could the Dao Lords remain ignorant of it? How could they not investigate? How could they not put a stop to it? The answer was simply because Lex had directly thought of the names of Nuwa and Eclipse before beginning!

Though the observers could not know, could not properly sense what was so terrifying about that karmic storm, they knew full well that this rising storm had already touched upon something they did not want to get involved with.

If only the universe were not so mired in war, if only realms were disappearing left and right, if only Dao Lords weren’t being killed every day, maybe someone would have had the courage to experiment. Yet in this universe, ’if only’ was entirely irrelevant. The only thing that mattered was the ground reality of the situation, and the ground reality was that no one wanted to mess with the unknown.

Eclipse, sitting on her throne within her realm, could not help but look over at Lex, and could not help but let out a fond smile. She really appreciated Lex’s courage, and his lovable stupidity. She felt something akin to a grandparent watching a newborn baby trying to bite a bagger laced with poison. Although she had no grandchildren of her own, she supposed this is probably what it felt like.

Yet while Eclipse watched with amusement and fondness, not all were like her. Lex was summoning, or at least trying to summon all the karma connected to him. He did not, fortunately, have the ability to actually fully succeed. He did, however, make some progress.

Ventura, another entity above the Dao Lord realm, looked towards the Joro realm in confusion. What about that realm was attracting him? Even he did not know.

Asho, another such being, looked over and spotted Lex - the human born in the Origin realm, and suspected son of the Innkeeper. Why had he suddenly felt the urge to look at him? Asho himself did not know.

Within the Primary realm, Death looked over while working on his Nether portal, and saw not the Joro realm, but something blocking his vision. He snorted, unable to determine who was blocking his vision, and began working on his portal once more.

That was four of beings above the Dao realm who Lex had encountered one way or another. Yet far away in the universe, within a sarcophagus being pulled by nine, skeletal dragons through the void, Divine opened his eyes. He looked over at the Joro realm and looked at the rising, karmic tornado with confused eyes.

Yet before he could ponder over it, he immediately closed his eyes and concealed his existence when he sensed the gaze of the others. He had nearly been fooled by their trap. Fortunately, he was quick enough or they would have been able to trace his location.

With such a terrifying collection of gazes falling upon the karmic storm, the Dao Lords within proximity of the storm did not try to intervene. Instead, they evacuated as quickly as they possibly could, afraid that this might be a prelude to the terrifying phenomenon of mysteriously destroyed Major realms!

Lex did not know, nor did he care. He had walked those lands which even Dao Lords feared, spoken to beings forgotten by history itself, and done things that should have been impossible. He had wanted to live cautiously until he was strong enough, but if the universe was intent upon depriving him of that option, then he would throw caution to the wind. He would unleash all that he was worth and let the cards fall where they may. Whatever the repercussions may be, he would deal with them.

Within the darkness, Regix looked over. He could not see Lex, protected by too many of his means. He could sense it though - something significant was happening.

Within the Midnight Inn, Mary’s new body was not yet complete but the body’s eyes began to twitch, as if something deeply connected to it was calling out to it. Mary herself, imprisoned by the laws of the system, sensed nothing save the Primordial energy leaking into the core of the system. Her focus remained unwavering - right now, nothing could distract her.

Within her mirror, Moon looked out as she felt a pull of blood she had not felt in a long time. With Arch-Heaven, Mango trembled, and the scale it used to write down important things began to heat up.

Within the Tyrannum realm, Alexander and his group stood in front of the barrier, looking out at the army of Dao Lords attacking it, trying to break in. The soldiers standing by them, humans one and all, did not even flinch as they watched the attacks fall, and fail to break the barrier.

The group sensed something and looked at one another, all thinking of a single name. In this grave moment, why would they think of Lex? They did not know.

Across the universe, in the darkness and in the light, mortals, immortals and Dao Lords alike all felt like something strange was going on. So many of them had never even heard of Lex, let alone have a connection to him. How then could they imagine that what they were sensing was the pull of his karma?

They had benefited from him, from his Inn, from the feedback of his tribulations, from the enlightenment of the phenomenon he had caused across the universe time and time again. Knowingly or unknowingly, they had benefited from him, so how could they deny him now when he called upon all the karma that was connected to him?

The storm grew larger and larger, its vibrations transcending the limits of the Joro realm, growing into a force that could not be contained nor controlled. No one understood what was happening, but many of them began to understand who was responsible.

From the start, Lex had not attempted to hide himself, or his actions, so it was only a matter of time before it was realized who had caused this storm. The eyes that fell upon the strom from the Humanoid Alliance were mixed with complex emotions.

How could this be caused by a human? Why was it someone from the Midnight Inn? What was he trying to do? They did not know, but they watched, for the answer was forthcoming.

Within the storm, the black bead was trembling from the force of the massive karmic storm. It was beginning to heat up to such an extent that it felt like the bead may explode. In truth, the storm had quickly grown far beyond the point where even Lex could properly control it.

Then again, control was never his goal to begin with. He wanted, instead, to challenge his stalker, and see whose methods were stronger.

Although he could not control the karmic storm, he could channel it towards a general direction and let it take over from there, so he did just that. With the full force of the entire karma Lex had ever accumulated, he locked onto his tribulation, as if to force it out.

Lex wanted to see whose means were better - his own, or his stalkers? Lex wanted to see who he would become when he let go of all his inhibitions.

The massive, overbearing, overwhelming karmic storm suddenly and abruptly vanished, bringing with it the karmic bead and necklace.
