The Introvert is Becoming the Police Station's Beloved!

Chapter 392: Screw You

Chapter 392: Chapter 392: Screw You

Lin Xiaoyan dared not move a muscle, her body rigid, as her eyes slowly scanned her surroundings.

She remained still, but the giant snake beneath her moved, taking Lin Xiaoyan along with it, straight to the shore.

Thrown onto the shore, Lin Xiaoyan finally saw her surroundings clearly.

The place she found herself in was a cave.

Though calling it a cave didn’t seem quite right, as there was a pool of water, surrounded by tender green grass, and—fruit trees?!

Lin Xiaoyan looked at the tree beside the pool; two red fruits hung there, mysterious and unrecognizable.

The cave was vast, and the giant snake coiled within the pool, its massive head upright, staring intently at Lin Xiaoyan.

Being watched by that massive snake head, Lin Xiaoyan’s initial fear turned into numbness.

She realized the snake had no intention of eating her and was merely staring directly at her.

Lin Xiaoyan recalled what Lin Feng mentioned before, that this snake wanted to undergo a thunder tribulation to forcibly shape-shift.

It had brought her here to shield it from the thunder tribulation, to deceive the heavenly way.

So, for now, she should be safe.

Even if there were danger, she would already be inside the snake’s stomach by now.

Thinking of this, Lin Xiaoyan slowly stood up; she was soaked, her clothes drenched through.

It was only then she realized that the pool turned out to be a hot spring.

No wonder she felt swelteringly hot as she awoke.

She glanced at the giant snake, which remained fixedly staring at her.

Let it stare; she might as well be eaten!

Having seen last night’s disgusting scene of the densely packed snake swarm, and having touched this snake just now, she already felt like dying!

Recalling the tactile sensation from earlier, Lin Xiaoyan disdainfully shook her hand.

"Roar..."

The giant snake seemed to sense Lin Xiaoyan’s disdain, breathing angrily.

Lin Xiaoyan looked at it and swiftly shifted her gaze; she really detested snakes!

Disgust and fear intertwined.

She glanced around to ensure there weren’t more snakes before quickly stripping off her wet clothes.

The temperature here was around twenty degrees Celsius or so; removing her clothes, she left the thin outer jacket on.

The rest of her clothes were spread on the grass, hoping they’d dry quickly.

Curious, she glanced around, wondering if there was a way out.

But as Lin Xiaoyan took two steps forward, her body was suddenly swept up.

Lin Xiaoyan: .....

Her exposed skin prickled with goosebumps, but Lin Xiaoyan forced herself into calmness, avoiding struggle.

Because struggling would only increase her contact with the snake!

She was lifted by the snake’s tail, brought before its massive head.

For the first time, Lin Xiaoyan directly observed the snake’s patterns, scales, eyes, mouth, tongue...

Every detail struck her deepest fears.

Suddenly, she noticed the White Snake atop the giant snake’s head.

Staring straight at her.

She looked at the White Snake, then at the giant snake, realizing they had likely mistaken the snakes.

Looking at the White Snake, she opened her mouth to ask, "Are you the one looking to shape-shift?"

The empty cave echoed only Lin Xiaoyan’s voice.

The White Snake, with a piercing gaze fixed on Lin Xiaoyan, nodded upon hearing her words.

Lin Xiaoyan raised an eyebrow, surprised that they could communicate!

Being able to communicate meant there was hope!

"Hello, could you put me down? It’s really squeezing my stomach."

Lin Xiaoyan wore a smile, attempting to engage.

The White Snake hissed, and after a few seconds, the giant snake tossed Lin Xiaoyan to the ground.

"Ouch"

Lin Xiaoyan fell straight from the air to the ground.

Though cushioned by grass, it still hurt, alright!

Lin Xiaoyan glared at the giant snake, wishing to curse!

"Can’t you be a bit gentler! I’m human, not a snake! If I’m killed, how’s your boss supposed to survive the tribulation! Are you planning to take the thunder for your boss? Watch out, you might just get shattered by lightning!"

"Roar!"

The giant snake, understanding Lin Xiaoyan’s words, angrily lunged, roaring.

Its mouth gaping wide, ready to bite Lin Xiaoyan.

The White Snake coiled steadily atop the giant snake’s head, indifferent to its actions.

"!!!"

Seeing the gaping mouth heading her way, Lin Xiaoyan leapt away to dodge.

Yet the giant snake, even more enraged, pursued her relentlessly.

Frightened, Lin Xiaoyan darted around to evade.

"Hey, can you understand human speech or not!"

"Roar!"

"Boom"

Lin Xiaoyan was flung against the rock wall once more.

"Damn it"

Fuming, Lin Xiaoyan glared sharply at the looming giant snake.

"Fine, so you don’t understand, huh!"

She looked towards her clothes, dodging the giant snake as she sprinted towards them.

Grabbing her clothes, Lin Xiaoyan rummaged through her pockets while running.

"To hell with it!"

Lin Xiaoyan jumped onto a rock, back-flipping and hurling the talisman paper into the giant snake’s mouth.

"Boom!"

"Roar!"

A bolt of lightning struck directly at the giant snake, and the White Snake, sensing the lightning, vanished like a shadow from the giant snake’s head.

The lightning struck the giant snake dead on, its massive head left bleeding profusely.

"Roar!!!"

The giant snake bellowed, its scarlet gaze locked onto Lin Xiaoyan.

At that moment, Lin Xiaoyan frantically dashed to the fruit tree, leaning against it and gasping for breath.

Seeing Lin Xiaoyan standing by the fruit tree, the White Snake became furious, and the giant snake rippled towards her.

"Don’t come near, or I’ll blow it up!"

Lin Xiaoyan clutched the tree with one hand, a talisman paper in the other, threateningly.

Moments ago, she noticed the giant snake deliberately avoided this tree, though she wasn’t sure what fruits they were; seeing the two snakes so agitated, it had to be crucial for them.

Seeing the talisman paper in Lin Xiaoyan’s hand, both the White Snake and giant snake halted.

Breathing heavily, Lin Xiaoyan wiped the blood from the corner of her mouth, cursing inwardly; these creatures were truly inhuman!

Utterly ruthless, impossible to communicate with.

Earlier, while the giant snake attacked her, the White Snake had watched aloofly.

In its eyes, her life was merely a tool, of no human worth, as long as it helped the snake survive its tribulation.

Once used, they’d likely kill her.

Realizing this, Lin Xiaoyan focused tightly on the White Snake, betting that the fruit on this tree mattered.

The White Snake’s eyes revealed urgency and panic; it had guarded the fruit for centuries, relying on those two fruits to shape-shift.

If this human destroyed them, it would fail the tribulation, unable to change!

The thought of failing to shape-shift filled the White Snake’s eyes with hatred, fixating menacingly on Lin Xiaoyan.

Feeling dizzy, Lin Xiaoyan swiftly averted her gaze, vowing not to be tricked again as last night.

The White Snake’s eyes had a confusing power, she wagered.

Clutching the talisman tightly, Lin Xiaoyan silently recited the Heart Clearing Technique.
