Chapter 1502: The Expose (1)

Words quickly spread, and videos had gone viral.

The events that happened inside the Jade Nest had caught attention, and, despite the Heavens Court making moves to stop it, as more videos spread, they were forced to take drastic action.

This is the Universe, a place where the Heavens Court believes they hold absolute authority over everyone. So when their image started to be smeared, they resorted to using their influence to suppress those involved.

Many media houses were shut down, some getting banned from airing on certain frequencies. In less than an hour, millions of media houses had lost their licenses and were shut down.

However, that wasn’t the drastic part.

Since the information being put out was sensitive, the Heavens Court began to change the narrative.

By now, everyone had become aware of the appearance of the Paragon, attacking and snatching the Jade Ant Queen from the Renegade Hunter and a few others.

As a result, the narrative was being pushed onto him, blaming him for everything.

In a post aired on a prominent media platform, they claimed that the Paragon was behind the attack a million years ago.

In fact, the most disturbing part was the reveal of when the Paragon visited the Jade Nest in hopes of recruiting her, which ultimately ended in his defeat and near-annihilation.

Somehow, they knew of that encounter, and so they had engineered the narrative. In that single post, they managed to turn things around. They got people on their side, and for the better part of the last hour, they managed to keep the outrage down.

That peace and quiet was shattered when, all of a sudden, every last screen started displaying a live broadcast by none other than the Paragon.

Klaus and everyone were on their way to the Jade Planet when the live broadcast appeared.

Inwardly, he grinned, and so did Rory and Lord Victor. Though they were shocked by what Klaus had done and was about to do, knowing he was the Paragon made the moment blissful.

[The Exposé]

On every screen, a hooded figure with dark hair and a mask appeared, drawing everyone’s attention to him.

"Good day everyone, today, I would reveal a dark secret the Heavens Court had tried desperately to hide from all of you,"

His intro alone was all everyone needed to hear to become hooked. The first time the Paragon revealed himself, he got many thinking, so today, they all want to hear what he has to say.

"Before I begin, I would like to apologize to someone first. Renegade Hunter, if you are watching this, which I know you would be, simply because you are probably pissed at me for snatching your prize from you, I apologize.

In my defense, you just aren’t strong enough to oppose me, so when I came, you had to step aside and watch. Of course, as I said, I was a bit scared of you, so I had to wait for you to get tired and reveal your trump cards.

I would love to acknowledge the fact that you are indeed an impressive warrior, perhaps the best I have seen so far.

Next time, however, I might just kill you. But for using you, I apologize. If, after our first official battle, you still stood, then I would pay back this favor one day.

That said, I am about to expose your leaders, so pay attention and learn something that might just save your life one day."

Klaus gritted his teeth and clenched his fist simply to make an appearance. His reaction was seen by Lord Emerald and the others, causing them to think he was indeed pissed when, in fact, he was grinning inwardly.

"First, I would like to point out that I was not, and this I quote, I was not the one who caused the attack that claimed the lives of the human warriors who entered the Jade Nest.

I had no reason to do that. However, since the Heavens Court seems to think I was responsible, then why don’t we let the evidence speak for us?"

Some documents appeared on the screen, catching everyone’s attention. Looking closely, one could tell they were bank statements.

"On the screen now are payments made to mercenaries and assassins to kill the Renegade Hunter, the 7th Jade Princess, and every other human who ventured into the Jade Nest, among others.

Those of you who can’t put them together, allow me to put you on.

In the first document, a payment was made by a fake business called Yellow Palm Carrier Limited to the Qilin Mercenary Legion, the same legion that was slaughtered inside the Jade Nest.

Now, while this business is indeed fake, it was registered by a man named Dominic Jake. This Jake happens to be the butler of a man called Benson.

Now, here is where everything takes form. You see, Benson plays poker every first month inside a casino called Blue Balls Bankers.

Benson is an unlucky fella, so as one would expect, he always ends up wasting his money. Three hundred years ago, Benson overran his tab, and so he was kicked out.

However, instead of leaving, he chose to do what every dumbass does: go to a loan shark widely known throughout the Blood Sky Star System as Shark Teeth for a loan.

You see, Shark Teeth is a scary guy, so one can only wonder what would happen if you owe such a monster and don’t pay.

That happened to Benson, he lost the loan in a poker game, and so he had no way to pay back. Benson knew he was done for, so he went to Shark Teeth begging for his life.

Thankfully, Shark Teeth was in a good mood that day, so he gave him two ultimatums. First, he must work in a mine to pay back his debt, or second, he must become a worker for him in his shady procurement business.

Ladies and gentlemen, that was how Benson became rich.

His job was simple: he used various people to create fake businesses and operate them. Then, using those businesses, he would pay assassins and mercenaries to carry out missions.

Jake works for Benson, and Benson works for Shark Teeth. But one might ask, who does Shark Teeth work for?"

Paragon paused and lifted his mask slightly to drink a glass of water.

"I mean, we both can tell that Jade, Benson, and Shark Teeth are no powerhouses. They aren’t at the level to pull off a scam this good.

So naturally, it can be said that all three of them are merely pawns. But there is a rook pulling the strings somewhere, and his name is Star-Lord Robby.

Star-Lord Robby pays Shark Teeth to do all the dirty work for him. While on the surface he appears to be the most benevolent leader, he is, in fact, the darkest of them all. I have dirt on him that I will reveal soon.

But let’s step past him and see who is pulling dear old Robby’s strings."

An image of a bald man with a white beard appeared. The moment everyone saw this, they gasped, some turning pale.

Many recognized him, as in the Human Universe, his influence doesn’t pale compared to most Supremes, despite being only a God Monarch.

His influence is deep, and so is the respect people have for him. However, the bank statements showed a steady stream of transfers from him to one person, Star-Lord Robby.
