The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse

Chapter 1601: Five Overpowered Beast Guards

Chapter 1601: Five  Overpowered Beast Guards

After the words that a Flame Dao Crystal had appeared inside the Devil’s Maw, and that a criminal from the Criminal Underworld had claimed it and even declared that he would join the Paragon, powerful warriors from different factions had been dispatched to retrieve it.

A Flame Dao Crystal isn’t something that could, in their own words, fall into the hands of a criminal.

So while powerful gods and demigods were being sent to the planet’s surface, the Supremes and a few Celestials who couldn’t enter remained outside, each ready to fight and take back the item that should rightfully be theirs.

Even the almighty Heaven’s Court had dispatched warriors to first seize the Flame Dao Crystal and second kill the one who called himself Blood Sword.

The last thing they wanted was another young talent joining the Criminal Underworld.

They were using the fact that Razor had joined the Criminal Underworld to justify their actions. They knew he had already passed the requirements to take part in their Underworld Slaughter Tournament.

However, if reports of his recent ascension to the Demigod Stage were true, then he wouldn’t join the tournament. Instead, he would be sent straight to Blood Galaxy to cultivate through slaughter, sharpen his sword and arrows, and become a deadly general for their cause.

That could not be allowed to happen, so they had come this time to kill him.

However, while thousands had gathered and thousands were after him, Rhazor was relaxing somewhere within the Devil’s Maw, staring at five deadly beasts cocooned and undergoing an evolution that would take them from mere beasts to Calamity-Level Beasts.

He had used the Pagoda to travel to the first floor of the Inheritance Tower since he had no plans of letting anyone sense his presence just yet.

So while he is inside the inherticance tower, with the paragon inside the Devil’s Maw, it was like he hadn’t even left.

With the aid of Icon, he managed to select five Calamity Beast Bloodlines that aligned perfectly with the bloodlines of the Naga King, Planet Devouring Ant Queen, Slayer Beetle, Grim Wolf Alpha, and Fourteen-Legged Demon Spider.

He wanted nine Beast Guards who would walk with him to the peak.

While he already had over 200,000 beast companions he could choose from, he wanted to have his own personal guards. With Amaru already among them and five more being added, he needed only three more to complete the fold.

If one day his incarnation as the Paragon were to have nine ladies known as the Paragon Guards, then he too must have nine beasts known as the Nine Calamity Beast Guards.

Once Amaru finished awakening her bloodline, he would mutate it with a Calamity Bloodline, transforming her into a Forbidden Calamity Lava Dragon.

That would indeed be a sight to behold when it happened.

Two days later, the first cocoon trembled, and a terrifying howl echoed across the first floor of the Inheritance Tower.

Then—

BOOM!

The cocoon exploded, revealing a giant wolf with a powerful aura pouring from its body like an endless tidal wave.

Before today, the Grim Wolf Alpha was a threat to many. But now, it had become a terror to all gods and most supremes.

What stood before Rhazor now was a creature covered in metallic armour, with a single horn standing proudly on its forehead. Purple lightning snaked around its massive frame, red flames burned within its eyes, and its claws ended in deadly talons capable of tearing apart mountains.

This was a beast that had never before walked the face of the universe.

Rhazor had merged its previous Grim Alpha Divine Bloodline with the Heavenly Thunder Calamity Beast Bloodline, giving birth to the Grim Heaven Thunder Calamity Wolf Monarch.

It now possessed control over both lightning and flames.

Most importantly, its body was now stronger than that of even a True Supreme.

This was because, aside from granting it the bloodline, Icon had also corrected every flaw within its body and awakened a body-cultivating trait that had remained dormant for countless years.

Basically, if this beast were to fight Nyrela again, the poor lady would probably run after the first exchange.

The Grim Wolf Alpha had returned as the Grim Wolf Monarch, and that was something else entirely.

Standing 120 meters tall, it was a sight that would send chills down the spine of almost anyone.

The second cocoon shook violently before exploding apart, revealing a colossal serpent over 1.2 kilometres long.

Its enormous body was covered in red and black scales that gleamed like forged metal. Two massive horns sat perfectly upon its forehead, while its tail ended in a razor-sharp talon capable of cleaving mountains in half.

Rhazor didn’t know why, but he suddenly felt as though he had created something that should not exist. He could sense it. This serpent is a terror that would one day bring calamity on his foe.

The Naga King had achieved something countless nagas could only dream of. He had, against all odds and limitations, become a true serpent.

And that alone was an achievement worthy of admiration.

He now possessed a bloodline worthy of his name and nature.

It had awakened the Genesis Calamity Naga Emperor Bloodline.

The third to appear was the Planet Devouring Ant Queen, or at least that was what she had been called before her bloodline awakening.

Now, standing 20 tall and 200 meters long with a metallic body and eyes devoid of emotion, the Domain Devouring Calamity Ant Empress had become a terrifying beast that would make even Asha blush with jealousy.

If she could get her hands on an Ant Empress like this, she would be overjoyed.

Unfortunately for her, Rhazor had already called dibs on the Domain Devouring Calamity Ant Empress.

Asha, after becoming a Supreme, had yet to reveal her true strength, but Rhazor knew she had become a monster, perhaps an even greater monster than her past incarnation.

The fourth cocoon shook, and the Slayer Beetle was revealed.

It now looked ten times more intimidating, and if that wasn’t enough, it possessed a metallic body just like the Domain Devouring Calamity Ant Empress.

However, its legs had transformed into curved swords, while its wings had become sharpened blades, each a deadly weapon.

It had gone from being a mere Slayer Beetle to a true apex slayer, one that Rhazor couldn’t wait to see in action.

It emerged as the Deadly Blade Calamity Slayer Beetle, one of the most dangerous beetle-type beasts the universe had ever seen.

The last to awaken was, of course, the Fourteen-Legged Demon Spider.

It too emerged as a Calamity Beast, becoming the Fourteen-Legged Calamity Ancient Demon Spider.

All fourteen of its legs were now metallic and packed with Absolute-Rank Poison.

This meant it had awakened a Poison Affinity, and that alone was enough to make it the most dangerous among the five newly awakened beasts.

Rhazor was satisfied with their awakenings, but he still had one more thing to do to ensure their transformations were truly complete.

“Icon, activate the Star Monarch Blood.”

Icon did as she was told, and a few minutes later, five powerful humanoid figures stood before Rhazor.

The Grim Wolf Monarch now stood 7’3″ tall with a muscular build and piercing red eyes. His long purple hair flowed down his back, while the side of his neck was lined with tattoos that seemed to pulse with every heartbeat.

His body was covered in futuristic, armless armour, and a pair of axe-like weapons shaped as wolf heads rested on his back.

Rhazor named him Lyrius.

The Genesis Calamity Naga Emperor also stood 7’2″ tall. However, he possessed a slimmer build, likely due to his serpentine nature.

He had deep black eyes capable of both charming and intimidating others, while his dark hair cascaded down his back.

He wore futuristic serpent-patterned leather armour and wielded a scaly whip as his weapon.

He was given the name Thaneon.

As for the Deadly Blade Calamity Slayer Beetle, he stood 6’3″ tall and possessed an athletic build.

His short pink hair made it clear that he had no intention of spending time grooming it.

He wore a modern leather jacket, black trousers, and boots designed for both speed and combat.

As for his weapon, a sword box rested by his side, housing twenty swords.

Rhazor suspected he could not only wield them but also control them remotely and make them fly, something he intended to find out soon.

He named him Kaelor.

As for the Domain Devouring Calamity Ant Empress, she appeared as a slim beauty with deep blue eyes, long blue hair and tan skin.

She looked gentle and refined, but beneath that beauty, Rhazor could sense an overwhelming desire to devour everything around her.

She wielded a fan as her weapon and wore a futuristic blue gown that perfectly enhanced her elegance.

Rhazor named her Zhilak.

Lastly, the Fourteen-Legged Calamity Ancient Demon Spider had also taken on a humanoid form. She possessed red eyes, crimson hair, and long, slender legs that could serve as deadly weapons if she wished.

She carried no weapon, but Rhazor knew her claws were more than enough.

She was given the name Korvina.

All five of them remained Universal Gods.

However, Rhazor knew that even at the Peak Universal Gods, they could make the Supremes tremble before them.

None of them possessed any flaws.

Their bloodlines, physiques, souls, talents, and foundations had all been perfected by Icon, and their new bloodlines had also become even more robust, boosting their power.

At this moment, they stood at the absolute peak of what they could possibly become within their current realm.
