The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse

Chapter 1604: Extreme Rank Forbidden Flames

Chapter 1604: Extreme Rank Forbidden Flames

The shock on Nyrela’s face made her mother laugh.

Learning that Rhazor was, or might be, the Star Monarch—the one whom every beast had rushed to join several years ago despite being a paragon—was simply mind-bending.

Clearly, she had no idea she had just met the Paragon and had even dared challenge him for something of great value. If the paragon was as he was portrayed, then she had just jumped the gun.

Even more shocking was the fact that the Paragon knew her mother, and judging by the smile on the Genesis Flame Queen’s face, she didn’t hate the Paragon as most people did.

That was shocking enough, but to think the Paragon had come close to becoming her father. That alone caused her to blank out for a few minutes before regaining her senses.

“Relax, dear. You tried your best, but against a Paragon, losing is normal,” she said, cupping Nyrela’s cheeks and smiling.

“How are you not angry right now, Mother?” Nyrela asked, her brow furrowed.

“What do you mean?” the Genesis Flame Queen asked.

“Isn’t the entire mission of the Warrior Temple to ensure there is no more rampage from the Paragon? From what I was told during my academy days, the Paragon, throughout his lives, was a danger to the universe, and you and the others are the ones tasked with making sure he doesn’t rampage anymore. So, wouldn’t you want to kill him now while he is still weak?”

The Genesis Flame Queen looked at her daughter for a few seconds before bursting into resounding laughter.

This puzzled Nyrela, but she said nothing, knowing whatever was so funny to make her mother laugh would be revealed soon enough.

As expected, after laughing for a while, she stopped and answered Nyrela.

“The concept of good and evil is entirely based on one’s perspective. Before meeting Efad, your grandparents filled my mind with all kinds of things, mostly about how horrible the Paragon was and why the Heavenly Court was the only force in the universe that truly wanted peace and everyone’s safety.

“I believed them because, why not? They were my parents. However, on the mission that led to me meeting Efad, I traveled with ten others, each from the Warrior Academies. I felt safe around them mainly because of what your grandparents filled my head with.

However, when danger came, and we all found ourselves in grave danger, they ran, abandoning the injured.

“It was the one they called evil who saved us and made me finally see what I had been blind to all this time.”

“And that was?” Nyrela asked, her curiosity piqued.

“Nobody is inherently evil or good. However, our actions determine the category we are placed in. The Paragon has made questionable decisions in the past, which led the Heavenly Court to brand him as evil. However, from my perspective, he saved us despite knowing that we would one day turn our weapons against him.

“That, in my eyes, makes him good. So no, I will not raise my weapon against him, nor will I reveal his true identity as the Paragon. Clearly, he chose to use clones to deceive everyone, and I would love to see what he accomplishes with that.”

Nyrela clearly couldn’t believe her ears. She never expected her mother, a co-founder of the Warrior Temple, to hold the Paragon in such high regard.

If anything, she would have expected her mother to take up her weapon and start hunting the Paragon down. Instead, she seemed happy to hear about him, and even now, Nyrela could tell her mother was still in love with this Efad guy.

This clearly pissed her off, but in a way, it also made her happy somehow. Her mother had been alone for hundreds of thousands of years, so finding a man for her would be a welcome change.

But after her meeting with Rhazor, she had clearly come to hate the bastard.

However, as someone who idolized her mother, she would never do anything to make her sad. This meant she would neither reveal Rhazor’s true identity to anyone nor hold a grudge against him.

Her mother knew that, so she didn’t hesitate to reveal such a huge secret to her.

“Well, he said that if and when I return to the Ancient Battlefield, I should invite him, and that he would travel there with me,” Nyrela revealed, and her mother beamed with joy.

“Wow, that is great then. I will get to meet him,” she giggled, which made Nyrela roll her eyes in annoyance.

“Well, if he manages to leave the Devil’s Maw, that is,” she smirked, fully aware of the crowd camping outside the Devil’s Maw, waiting for Rhazor to emerge.

“What do you mean?” the Genesis Flame Queen asked.

“You clearly don’t know, huh? Well, after obtaining the Flame Dao Crystal, Rhazor threatened that if the other factions didn’t stop sending attackers after him, he would join the Paragon in destroying them.

“This threat, however, angered many people, so they sent Gods and Supremes, along with some Celestials, to either seize the Flame Dao Crystal or kill him. He is a member of the Criminal Underworld, after all.”

“Tsk, they never get tired, do they?” The Genesis Flame Queen waved her hand, and her clothes changed, taking the form of a flowing red gown. “We are going back to the Devil’s Maw.”

“Huh? Why?” Nyrela asked, confused.

“To save Rhazor, of course.” The Genesis Flame Queen grinned slightly. “If I save him, he would owe me. Maybe I can cash in that debt by letting him marry one of you.”

“You—”

“Let’s go.”

The Genesis Flame Queen grabbed Nyrela’s hand, and with a single step, they vanished from the Flame Garden, traveling several light-years in less than a second.

Somewhere else, the Burning Angel and his disciple, Lord Victor, were also on their way to the Devil’s Maw.

Meanwhile, inside the first floor of the Inheritance Tower, Rhazor remained seated, absorbing the Flame Dao Crystal, when suddenly, waves of different flame qi exploded out of his body, drawing the attention of his six Calamity Beast Guards.

Behind him, four diagrams bearing the colors of the Chaotic Nirvana Forbidden Flame, Soul Fury Forbidden Flame, Void Incineration Forbidden Flame, and Primordial Desolation Forbidden Flame appeared.

This signaled that all four Forbidden Flames had finally stepped into the Extreme Rank and awakened their concepts.

Suddenly, the Flame Dao Crystal shattered into four pieces and vanished into Klaus’s soul sea.

Inside Klaus’s soul sea, the four flame spirits had become cocooned, with the shattered fragments of the Flame Dao Crystal hovering above them.

“It’s actually happening,” Rhazor muttered, a smile playing on his lips.

Suddenly, Klaus appeared inside the soul sea and placed his hand on Rhazor’s shoulder.

“Indeed, it is happening. Congratulations to us.”

Rhazor smiled and nodded.

With his four flame spirits advancing into the realm of Primordial Flame Spirits, there was no telling what they would ultimately become. Nobody had managed to achieve such a feat in the history of the universe.

Many had reached the Extreme Rank, and a few had even reached the Ultimate Rank. However, evolving beyond ordinary Flame Spirits into Primordial Flame Spirits had never happened before.

Today, within the soul sea of the Paragon of the Nine Stars, such an evolution was underway. In a sense, that was more significant than anything that had happened to Klaus in recent years.

“Whatever outcome this leads to, we should be ready for battle,” Rhazor said, knowing the danger that was coming.

“I know,” Klaus replied.

Just then, more of his incarnations started to arrive.
