The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse

Chapter 1637: True Blood and Flame Dao

Chapter 1637: True Blood and Flame Dao

“This feeling…” Uncle Monk muttered, his brow furrowed.

He remained in a stunned state for a few more minutes before he heard someone utter the very words that had been on his mind.

“A True Dao Awakening.”

He turned and saw a lady clad in simple attire, yet possessing the profound aura of a Primordial. Sensing his gaze, the lady gave him a slight nod and asked,

“Does this Senior have any idea what kind of True Dao has been awakened?”

Uncle Monk shook his head as he replied, “I can only sense an overwhelming blood aura coming from somewhere on the planet. However, as for whether they have awakened a Blood Dao, we can only wait and find out when they come out.”

“I guess you are right.”

Uncle Monk could tell that this lady possessed far sharper perception than most, so he refrained from adding any further context.

After all, unlike everyone gathered here, he knew the one responsible for all this was his no-good Renegade Monk, who had tormented his life for years in the past.

‘Just what have you become, Klaus?’ he wondered, hoping to get answers soon so he could plan how things would be handled afterward. He had already counted four Primordials, excluding himself, so he needed to stay ahead of the situation.

Meanwhile, after walking out of the Star Gate, Rhazor transformed into his Crimson Calamity Vampire Dragon form and took to the skies, casting both an intimidating shadow and an overwhelming pressure over everyone present.

Klaus stood there, gazing at his incarnation, acting smug and spoiled when he should have already started explaining what had happened inside the trial.

They shared the same mind and soul, yet for some reason, they still hadn’t received the memories of everything that had happened during the trial.

As curious beings, Klaus knew they should have the memories by now. This is their first time becoming a god, so they needed answers.

Rhazor remained a colossal crimson dragon with golden and black patterns decorating his scales. His wings were forged entirely from reddish metal, while each of his deadly black talons gleamed with a metallic luster.

His enormous body was covered in blood runes, and his presence was accompanied by a terrifying aura and a metallic ringing sound that echoed through the heavens as he flew across the sky, each beat of his metallic wings unleashing wave after wave of oppressive force.

“Hey, punk, get down here and tell us what happened. Do you think we have all day to play around?” Asura shouted at the top of his lungs, clearly annoyed by how Rhazor was toying with their emotions.

“What a hateful bastard,” Efad smirked, casting a murderous look at Rhazor.

Hanna, who had found herself caught up in the antics of Klaus and his incarnations, wondered just what went through their heads.

‘Honestly, it’s best if I don’t think about it,’ Hanna said to herself, deciding to spare her sanity.

“Let’s shoot him down,” Knox said, taking out his bow and nocking an arrow.

However, Kaden slapped the back of his head.

“Idiot. He is a God now, while we’re still Demigods. Even if we all went all out together, we wouldn’t be able to scratch a single scale.”

“Kaden is right. We shouldn’t antagonize him, or we’ll regret it,” Klaus said, and Knox, who had genuinely wanted to use the seven-hundred-meter-long dragon as target practice, sighed and lowered his bow.

“Fine. But the day I become a God, I will have my revenge.”

The rest of his incarnations nodded, every one of them sharing the exact same thought.

Perhaps because they all shared the same mind, Rhazor sensed their collective resentment. He immediately folded his wings, dove from the sky, and transformed back into his humanoid form, landing with a heavy thud before them.

“Sorry, guys. It’s just that becoming a God for the first time ever feels unbelievably amazing,” Rhazor said, flashing a guilty smile. However, the smirks on his fellow incarnations’ faces made it abundantly clear they were still irritated.

“Relax, all of you. I’ll share everything that happened with you right now.”

He closed his eyes, and the instant he opened them again, an endless torrent of memories spanning more than fifty thousand years poured into the minds of every incarnation present.

Their expressions changed instantly, their eyes widening in utter disbelief.

“What in the name of the Nine Paragon Stars is this?” Klaus exclaimed, his face filled with unconcealed shock.

Rhazor smiled and nodded. “Yup, that was everything that happened inside the Ascension Trial. I battled for fifty thousand years, slaying countless Immortals, Demigods, Gods, Supremes, and Celestials. The process tempered my battle style, my bloodlust, my killing intent, and, most importantly, my understanding of the flames.

“Aside from that, I also reached the 299th layer. And yes, there are 300 layers, but for some reason, I only reached the 299th. Perhaps one of us would be able to conquer the 300th layer one day.

“I will now share what I saw after reaching the 100th layer and beyond.”

The moment he finished speaking, a completely different set of memories poured into their minds.

Within those memories, Klaus witnessed countless secrets dating back to the Primordial Era. However, among everything he saw, the event that caught his attention the most was the one that had led to his descent into this universe.

He watched as nine stars fell into this universe alongside an egg containing countless Dao Essences. He witnessed a great battle between some of this universe’s greatest heroes and the Parasite, or, as he called himself, Axarax.

That battle had been fought for one purpose alone—to ensure that the Paragon would arrive in this universe successfully. He even witnessed the Heavenly Dao battle an existence from beyond the universe, one even more dangerous than Axarax himself.

Yet… she lost, and a part of it had been taken over by Axarax.

Within those memories, he saw the likes of Ares, Loki, Thor, Krishna, Poseidon, Zeus, and countless other legendary figures fight and bled for this universe.

In the end…

Only five survived.

The Heavenly Dao was defeated, while the Universe Heart was killed—or more accurately, she willingly sacrificed herself and entered the cycle of reincarnation, buying the Paragon enough time to rise.

However, the reason Rhazor had been shown those memories wasn’t simply to reveal that countless unparalleled warriors had paved the way for his arrival.

It was to remind him…

That this time…

He could not fail.

After all, the Universe Heart’s reincarnation cycle would end during this era, meaning the same catastrophic battle that had claimed the lives of countless heroes would inevitably return.

Only this time…

He would be the one standing on the battlefield.

However, two questions continued to elude him.

The first was the identity of the Universe Heart.

Klaus could instinctively feel that this person was someone incredibly close to him. In fact, he was certain she meant more to him than almost anyone else. Yet no matter how hard he searched through the memories, he simply couldn’t figure out who she was.

The second question was why this universe had been attacked immediately after the third reincarnation cycle.

Something deep within him told him that, among all the universes within the multiverse, this one held extraordinary significance.

Perhaps it concealed something incomparably precious.

Something every supreme powerhouse in the vast Multiverse out there coveted.

If he could uncover what that was, perhaps he could prepare properly before they came for it again.

Unfortunately, he still had no answer.

As such, he could only hope that once another one of his incarnations ascended to Godhood, they would receive even more of the hidden truth.

“This is insane. I never knew the universe was hiding this many secrets,” Efad muttered, still processing the overwhelming flood of memories Rhazor had shared.

“I know, right?” Orion replied, a faint smile appearing on his face. “Though I have to say, reaching the 299th layer is a great achievement worthy of celebration.”

The other incarnations nodded in agreement, causing Rhazor’s smile to widen ever so slightly.

At this moment, he was thoroughly enjoying the admiration being directed his way.

“We can celebrate after I deal with the gathered powerhouses outside the Devil’s Maw,” Rhazor said, and Klaus and his incarnations nodded in agreement.

Now that Rhazor had become a God and the universe had learned that he was the Paragon, Klaus knew they had to act quickly. He may be the Paragon now, but he planned to keep some of his incarnations a secret for now.

For now, he would start by dealing with the ever-growing threat gathering outside the Devil’s Maw.
