The moment the aura spread across the planet, Klaus knew Kilian was coming out of the cocoon as a different kind of warrior. However, even before he stepped out, Klaus’s eyes had already widened in shock.

That was because, while only he and the Celestials could sense it, Kilian, despite awakening as a True Supreme, was emerging with the aura of a Dao.

In other words, while the rest of his friends came out with a deep understanding of their respective Daos, Kilian had already attained Perfect Comprehension of the Slaughter Dao and could fuse it with his aura.

Naturally, that made him very dangerous, and Klaus, who knew the kind of existence Kilian had been in his past life, grinned and looked toward the cocoon that also housed Gorr.

For some reason, he had the urge to scream in delight. However, before he could, memories of his first incarnation flooded his mind once again, shocking him silly. Here he was thinking he had already recovered all his memories.

Now, new memories flooded his mind, and they were of him creating three weapons.

The first weapon was the Necrosword. He had created this weapon for a friend a few years before they faced the Void Beasts.

In that battle, the sword proved to be exceptionally lethal, to the point that when one of the Seven Void Generals appeared, it was used to slay him and devour his soul, turning him into the sword’s weapon spirit.

The second was the Sword of Damnation, which he had forged for a general of the Demon Race.

This sword was also used during that war, and while the person who wielded it died long before the war ended, the sword continued fighting on its own before eventually vanishing into hiding.

The last was the Sword of Blood, whose whereabouts he had yet to discover, but it had been equally devastating on the battlefield.

As for the Sword of Damnation, Klaus’s seventh incarnation, Magnus, found it during the Era of Wars and hid it on a remote planet where the strongest cultivator wasn’t even a Demigod.

It was there that he met Kilian, who, at the time, was one of the kingdom’s legendary general, known famously as the General of Death.

He was so dedicated and capable that the king feared he would one day seize the throne. So, while Kilian was away fighting on the battlefield, the king secretly ordered the slaughter of his entire family.

When Kilian returned and learned what had happened, he was devastated.

It was supposed to remain a secret who the real culprit was, so they pinned the massacre on their enemies. However, the murderer never expected a sword to be silently watching them commit those atrocities.

In fact, it was the blood and resentful souls of Kilian’s family that awakened it from its slumber

So the sword revealed the truth to Kilian, and that was the day the General of Death truly awakened. From that day onward, he became a man consumed by vengeance.

Kilian became one of the most dangerous people of that era. For 100,000 years, the Heavens Court shifted its attention away from Magnus, dedicating every effort to killing Kilian since he wasn’t someone they could control.

But they failed, losing thousands of warriors in the process.

Later, when they met again, Magnus offered to take back the sword, but Kilian refused. Instead, he fused with it so he could control it, ensuring that the next wielder would not be influenced into committing the same slaughter he had.

That decision led him to become its weapon spirit.

However, by becoming the weapon spirit, Kilian had also cut off his own chance at reincarnation.

But how could Klaus allow that to happen?

He knew what the future held, so he made a decision. Since he can’t reincarnate Kilian’s soul since he had become a weapon spirit, he reincarnated both him and the sword.

It was why, when Kilian awakened his bloodline back on Earth, he also awakened the Sword of Damnation.

This meant that inside the Sword of Damnation existed a version of Kilian who had already reached the peak of the Celestial Stage billions of years ago and had continued to grow stronger ever since.

Of course, even if no one else knew, Klaus did. So the moment he felt his consciousness leave his body and arrive in a place shrouded in mist and littered with bones, he smiled.

“General, is that you?” Klaus asked, looking deep into the mist.

A few seconds later, a voice echoed from within the mist.

“We meet again, Magnus. How have you been, Lord Paragon?”

“Never better, General. I have been expecting your arrival for a while now.” Klaus was happy, and it showed on his face.

Of course, if he could have seen the expression of the person he was speaking to, he would have realized he wasn’t the only one who was happy.

“Sorry for taking so long. It had been a very long time, and you could say I have become much stronger. So I had to wait for my true body to come of age before I could awaken. Even now, I am only half-awake.”

Klaus smiled and replied, “I guess sleeping does have its benefits. But all that matters is that everything we discussed worked out exactly as we expected. That is a win for us, I suppose.”

“Indeed.”

The General of Death fell silent for a few seconds before speaking again.

“I sense the Necrosword is nearby. Is it still being wielded by Gorr?”

“Yes. He is currently undergoing his awakening,” Klaus replied, not at all shocked that the General of Death had sensed the presence of the Necrosword.

“I know, since I am the one who made sure he hasn’t awakened yet.”

Klaus furrowed his brow. “May I ask why?”

“Because the Void General used as the weapon spirit had grown stronger over the eras and would have taken control of Gorr. So I placed a seal on him, and now you will have to place the second seal.

“I sense the awakening will happen in a few hours, so I suppose it was the perfect time for me to awaken.”

Klaus was slightly shaken, for he had never expected to hear this. During the Primordial Era, he had witnessed the battle between the original wielder of the Necrosword and the Void General.

It was Klaus’s first time witnessing the power of a Pseudo-Primordial. He knew that if such an existence were to become free and take control of someone like Gorr, it would be a disaster.

Gorr was dangerous with or without the sword. But to possess both the sword and a powerful weapon spirit who had perhaps already become a Primordial was truly a terrifying prospect.

“Tell me what must be done.”

Outside, the killing intent continued to spread for fifteen minutes before suddenly vanishing. Then the cocoon cracked, revealing a man with long, deep-black hair, deep black eyes, pale white skin, and a black, jagged sword in his hand.

Kilian stood 6’5″ tall with an athletic build and a slightly muscular frame. His attire was simple: a pair of black leather trousers and an open jacket, tattered for obvious reasons.

Long before he awakened the bloodline of the General of Death, the Black Flames of Death, and the Sword of Damnation, he had already been an extraordinary yet quite individual.

Now, he had become even quieter, but hidden behind that calm exterior was a monster capable of dominating every battlefield he stepped onto.
