Chapter 1701: Elemental Overlord Transformation
Chapter 1701: Elemental Overlord Transformation
The attack came so fast that Kaden barely had any time to defend against it.
But he managed to narrowly evade it, causing the giant sabre to cut his shoulder.
[You have been poisoned by the Everlasting Blood Savage Worm]
[Your poison immunity is trying to suppress the Everlasting Blood Savage Worm poison]
[Your poison immunity is devouring the Everlasting Blood Savage Worm poison]
“What the hell?” Kaden felt his body become sluggish.
The next second, he sensed a terrifying presence appear behind him. Before he could react, an overwhelming force slammed into his spine, sending him flying thousands of kilometers in mere seconds.
When he crashed into a mountain, he felt as though he had been reduced to a mere pile of bones. Pain surged through his body, and at once, he felt like a bug before a giant elephant.
For him to feel this way, it meant he had indeed been overwhelmed and, for the moment, suppressed. This feeling of helplessness had never happened to Kaden or any of his incarnations since the planet’s awakening.
He had always retained some form of control when facing beings far more dangerous than himself. But today, it appeared he had met someone far more dreadful, far more terrifying than anyone he had ever fought.
Kaden caught Blood Savage moving like a blur from the corner of his eye and stopped 3 meters from him, his body surging with so much power.
His large sabre still rested on his shoulder.
His disheveled crimson hair billowed behind him, matching his crazed crimson eye. He was still bare-chested, leaving his scars and fresh wounds, which had yet to heal, exposed for Kaden to see and perhaps be intimidated by.
He was clad only in a pair of trousers made of a dark reddish material and leather footwear. It appeared the inhabitants of the Bleeding Kingdom weren’t all mindless savages after all.
Some were intelligent, which, from what Kaden had experienced, told him he could not win this battle. Perhaps if he could harness the true and full power of the True Forbidden Blood & Flame Dao, then he might stand a chance.
‘I need to escape,’ he thought inwardly.
Then, tapping into the flame essence he had left in the air, he teleported away, reappearing forty kilometers away.
“What do you say we find a compromise, buddy? I merely defended myself from someone shameless and overly dangerous. If it hadn’t attacked, I wouldn’t have been forced to retaliate. So rather than killing each other, we can end things here and go our separate ways.”
Blood Savage looked at Kaden, his eyes filled with overwhelming killing intent. In fact, Kaden could tell the surroundings had already been saturated with killing intent and blood qi.
If he chose to retreat now, it would require tremendous effort and an exceptional understanding of intent to escape. He wasn’t worried about that part.
His own intent was far more dreadful, so escaping wouldn’t be difficult. But there was one thing bothering him, and that had to do with whatever method Blood Savage intended to use next.
Kaden was soon made aware of the danger when a blood-filled domain suddenly expanded, enveloping them both.
The moment the domain formed, Kaden felt the rate at which his poison immunity was devouring the Everlasting Blood Savage Worm poison slow down.
‘Well then, it seems we have to do this the hard way.’
Back when Klaus had come of age on Earth, he awakened the Elemental Overlord talent.
Today, he was finally going to unleash that power in full.
The most chilling part, however, was that he had never once tried to use it, not even during the planet’s awakening.
Instead of summoning a sword to match Blood Savage’s weapon, Kaden chose a spear.
Then, while harnessing the flame element, he tapped into the Primordial Runes that came with it and coated his body with all four.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
A powerful explosion of flame energy erupted from his body. At once, the space around him became superheated, and before Blood Savage could make a move, Kaden went further and harnessed the power of his seven forbidden ice elements, three forbidden water elements, and two forbidden lightning elements.
Once everything was harnessed, he went from a mere demigod to an Elemental Overlord, with the power of four different elements at his fingertips.
Blood Savage’s eyes narrowed, and he moved, his speed blinding…
“Not this time.”
Ice runes snaked across the spear as Kaden stabbed forward, meeting Blood Savage’s deadly swing. Their weapons collided, and for a moment, the space around them was completely shattered.
However, Kaden smiled and struck forward with his left leg.
Blood Savage twisted, his leg striking nothing but air… well, that wasn’t entirely true. Kaden had never intended for his leg to land on the poor bastard.
He attacked only to divert part of Blood Savage’s attention from what his left arm was doing.
The moment Blood Savage evaded the kick, Kaden’s left arm moved, and three petals formed from Absolute Forbidden Flame Runes appeared.
“Explode.”
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Three deadly explosions rocked the battlefield, swallowing both Kaden and Blood Savage whole. The explosions were instantaneous and incredibly powerful.
But despite being at the center of the blasts, when the flames cleared, Kaden remained standing without a single burn on his skin.
The same could not be said for Blood Savage, whose skin was now charred. He had suffered severe burns, the kind that would put many Celestials out of commission.
Blood Savage, however, seemed fine.
In fact, his crimson gaze burned with malice. He looked even more dangerous now, but instead of fearing for his life, Kaden smiled and bragged, trying to look smug,
“Looks like killing you won’t be too hard after all. But what if I can do something else entirely from such a rewarding encounter”
He moved, and Blood Savage did the same. The next moment, they collided in a ferocious clash that quickly escalated into one of the deadliest close-combat battles Kaden had ever experienced.
He had tested the waters, and from what he had seen, he believed he would win. As to whether or not he had what it takes, he would soon find out…
