The Legendary Moonlight Sculptor

Chapter 669 - V57C6P2 – Blue Dragon Latuas

V57C6P2 – Blue Dragon Latuas

“Wa-hoo!”

Geomchi roared in excitement as he charged the dragon.

“Finally I get a round with that creature!”

“You look happy, master!”

Geomchi2 and the instructors followed along with their swords unsheathed.

The feeling of running through a ruined city against a gigantic dragon was indescribable.

“Yeah. You’re damn right.”

“It’s a magic spell!”

– Roaring Thunder!

Craaack!

Thunder struck down from the sky and killed off all the warriors within range.

The storm cloud gathered rapidly and thunder shot down in random bursts across a radius of 1 km!

It was not only the warriors but also the buildings in Morata that became targets.

Nevertheless, the Geomchis thought it was cool to charge in as a group.

“Do not break away from the formation!”

“That is the master’s orders. Stick close!”

With Geomchi in the lead, the apprentices spread out behind him in a fan-shaped position!

“They’re out of their minds!”

“So reckless.”

The assault squad members were shocked, the actions of true romantics were difficult for them to understand.

– Bone Grasp! Pillar of Flames!

They were hindered by skeletal hands that rose from the earth as well as surging fire blasts, but they ran straight through them.

“They’re just going in a line.”

“I never thought I would see something like that even in a dragon hunt.”

Geomchi and the apprentices climbed on top of the dragon, sustaining casualties along the way.

“Kill it!”

“Chop it into pieces!

“Shred it down!”

After using the brazier, their level ranged from 800 to 900. They were warriors who were extremely proficient in attack damage.

Critical Strike!

Critical Strike!

Critical Strike!

The attacks following the brawny charge were dreadfully powerful, dealing incredible damage at such a short range.

Their attack power was high, but it was their pinpoint accuracy that concentrated their attacks between the dragon’s scales and cracks in the skin.

“This is the Single Point Attack!”

“Single Point Attack!”

“They’re focusing their attacks on a single area!”

They attacked the Black Dragon’s most vulnerable area and crushed the dense scales.

When the dragon was distracted with the assault squad in front, they inflicted a huge amount of damage.

Ta-ta-ta-tap!

Geomchi3 clambered atop the dragon from its tail, before forward across its back and onto the head, where he stopped and hung on with all his strength.

“Hahahahaha! I have arrived!”

Geomchi3 relentlessly struck down his sword.

Krrruuuuuuuh!

Kaybern’s anger turned towards the man who hung on its head.

“Keep cutting through them. Scales are meant to be crushed.”

“U-wuh! Woah! Oo-wah!”

“We are the lunatics in the hood!”

It wasn’t that the entire assault squad was passive and timid.

They were just behaving because of the Hermes Guild, and frankly speaking, they were daunted. Weed told them to grow their primal instincts in the Southern Desert region, and this could be clearly seen from how eager Geomchi and his apprentices appeared.

“We should provide assistance. They are fighting well, so instead of direct attacks on the dragon, focus on creating distractions.”

“Yes. Understood.”

Pale fired arrows with the archer unit.

“Fire!”

Fire arrows, Smoke Arrows, Odorous Arrows, Paralysing Arrows, Poison Arrows.

Various types of arrows were fired to annoy the dragon.

They didn’t have the guts to try and inflict damage through the dragon’s thick scales from such a distance.

All they could do is aim at the body and distract it.

Several arrows inside Pale’s quiver were special.

Death Arrow!

When it strikes the target directly, it inflicts up to 100,000 damage.

There were only five of these arrows in the world.

Only through the completion of the archer quest involving the World Tree could one obtain this priceless arrow.

Weed spoke to him before the battle.

“Do not use it early, just hold onto it. It would be best for me to get the kill… But Pale-nim, you should also aim for the last hit.”

“The last hit?”

“The final lethal blow. If you slay the dragon, you will obtain a special combat achievement.”

The honor of the dragon slayer.

Pale did not think that far, but if he were to succeed, it would be an amazing accomplishment.

‘For that moment, I am saving this arrow.’

He had a sense of appreciation for Weed. Who else would give him such advice?

He took reference of the Hermes Guild that engaged in battle first when he decided on the tactics for the assault squad.

The mages and archers were providing ranged support and the warriors were fighting as the core, restlessly engaging in melee combat.

Certainly they were weaker than the Hermes Guild and they were definitely weaker than Weed who was fighting alongside the dwarves and other prestigious guilds.

Kaybern activated the Light type ultimate magic spell.

– Destruction of Light!

Streaks of light descended onto the earth as if the sky had exploded.

The brilliant flashes could be seen from far outside the city.

It turned players of level 300 to 400 into ashes.

“Hiyahhh!”

“Kill it, now!”

“My body is on fire… Ahh. It’s my first time getting skewered by light.”

“A hole through my eternal heart. K-hahaha. I am the one and only Geomchi500!”

Geomchi, the apprentices and the assault squad members could not equip high magic resistance equipment as the Hermes Guild did. Weed tried to distribute his cherished equipment to Geomchi and the others, but they outright declined his offer.

“It is not our style to fight with multiple stacks of armor.”

They were sword fanatics and were dying as a result from Kaybern’s magic, but the atmosphere they created was still rather inspiring.

Knatul bravely diverted the attention of the dragon while Vishur inflicted damage with Elemental Spirits, magic spells and arrows.

Fairy Knight wielded the sword that cut through dimensions which completely ignored defense and made short work of Kaybern’s body.

“Hu-hahaha. The dragon will fall by our hands.”

“Master! This is such a glorious moment.”

Half of their forces were already dead.

“If we take a blow and return two in exchange, we are the winners.”

“You are right, master!”

“One on one isn’t the only kind of fighting.”

“Mob fights are the real fights.”

Oberon drew the dragon’s attention from the ground. He led the warriors at the front line and incited the dragon to attack him. Many were stomped to death but they succeeded in drawing the dragon’s aggression so that the attacks of the other groups could land more easily.

If it weren’t for them, Geomchi and the apprentices could have been wiped out after just a few magic spells.

“We will be victorious!”

Oberon shouted and boosted their morale. That moment, shouts burst from the ranks of the Hermes Guild.

“The dragon is dead!”

“Bard Ray-nim hunted the dragon!”

The players in Morata instantly turned towards the dragon marked by the Hermes Guild.

Bard Ray stood on top of the dragon’s head with his sword stuck through it. His cape was flucking in the wind. The enormous Black Dragon slowly crashed to the ground.

“Yes! We defeated the dragon!”

“We won.”

“Now there are only two left.”

***

The Earthly Shadows party, composed of Silver Ring and Elrix, acquired the items needed for the quest.

“Let’s hurry.”

“The Promise Necklace. I didn’t think we would obtain it so early.”

“I never thought the Hermes Guild would help us out.”

The information provided by the Hermes Guild was a great help in regards to scavenging items related to the dragon Ratuas. With butterflies in their stomachs, they travelled instantly to the entrance of Gregodal Mountain Pass with Yurin’s Painting Teleportation.

“Thank you.”

“No problem. Please go ahead and tend to your task.”

“You are really kind.”

Ben smiled as he, Elrix and Yurin quickly climbed the trail. To meet the dragon Ratuas, they had to travel by foot from this point.

‘She’s really cute.’

Glance.

While making haste, his feeling of interest made him turn around to see Yurin, noticing a great wolf that appeared in front of her.

After Kaybern’s activity, monsters roaming further afield became more frequent, but Gregodal Mountain Pass was one of those places that had been dangerous to begin with.

‘I have to rescue her.’

As Ben was about to stop, he saw her pull out a huge club from her back.

“Huh?”

Yurin had no interest in swords or spear techniques.

Although she never had much desire for battles, she had become powerful enough to take care of monsters while painting.

The wolf pounced at Yurin and that moment, her club danced skillfully.

Crack! Whimper! Woop!

“Ben? Get on your way!”

“Uh. Y-Yeah…”

Ben refused to believe what he just witnessed and kept on the path.

A lich with a skull staff was on the side of the road.

– Human. This is where the great Ratuas-nim resides.

Elrix put his hand on his chest and bowed politely.

“We have come to meet Ratuas-nim.”

– Ratuas-nim does not meet with lowly humans.

“Here… I have something he will be interested in.”

Elrix showed the Promise Necklace and was granted permission by the lich.

– You may see him. Follow me.

The Blue Dragon Ratuas. Unlike the other dragons, he did not show himself to the outside world and made no contact with any adventurers or race.

The past incident of Weed meeting him and returning with Hellium was a legend among adventurers.

“I am in the presence of the dragon himself.”

The Earthly Shadow party was able to meet the massive Blue Dragon inside the lair.

– Humans. I hear you have brought something I want.

“That is so.”

Elrix carefully offered the Promise Necklace.

– Do you have any idea about what this is?

“We do not.”

The Earthly Shadow party obtained the Promise Necklace from the Reindeer Dungeon.

It was not by hunting down the boss monster, but rather it was an item hidden in the corner of the dungeon.

Promise Necklace

It is sealed with a unique magical property.

It is a token representing some kind of promise.

Durability: 10/10.

They only speculated that they would be able to learn about it as they proceeded with the quest.

This necklace is the token of my oath.

Crack!

The Promise Necklace woven of marbles shattered into pieces.

Something that the Dragon Ratuas Seeks – Complete.

Latuas had made a promise long ago to his friend Uthkelanta.

“I will protect the living on this land as a favor. When the world plunges in danger, I will save them.”

It was a promise with the Silver Dragon Yuskellanda. Ratuas’ noble oath will be maintained to the end of time.

You have leveled up.

Your friendship level with Ratuas increased.

The dragon has taken an interest in you.

Reputation has increased by 20,000.

That instant, a mysterious scene played out in front of the Earthly Shadows party members..

***

From the dark, crimson rift spawned an endless stream of demons, and the Silver Dragon stood in their way, defending with magic.

– Drink the dragon’s blood!

– Devour its bones and gorge out its eyes!

The Silver Dragon faced the attacks of the demon soldiers with wind and defensive magic spells. More and more demons spawned from the rift, leading to the appearance of demon warriors and the mutilation of the Silver Dragon’s body.

– Revive.

Each time the Silver Dragon fell in danger, it recovered its own health.

The sun rose, the sun set.

The war waged for days.

Finally, like an army of ants taking down an elephant, the demon soldiers penetrated the Silver Dragon’s barrier and pierced its body.

The footage ended as the bloody Silver Dragon fell powerlessly.
