Chapter 4330: A New Conflagration

In a world of water at the edge of the Aquadite Ocean Civilization, countless humanoid figures swam around its depths. The environment around them was dim.

Above them, closer to the surface of the water, the faint circle of light that was the sun could be seen, it’s light being far too dim to possibly reach the depths that they were at.

BLUB BLUB BLUB...

Far below them, streams of bubbles emerged, flying upwards at remarkable speeds.

They were bubbles from the boiling water.

The boiling water at the center of the water planet were extraordinary pressures generated extraordinary heat, leading to a constant stream of boiling water emerging from the depths of the planet and into the sky.

Below them, one could distinctly see another dim circle, similar to that of the Sun.

But it was no star.

It was the plasmic core of the planet, where extreme heat caused water to split into hydrogen and helium, causing the buyoncy force to send them stream upward.

Where the oxidation of Hydrogen led to the exothermic reaction of combustion. Though, it would also often form hydrogen and oxygen gas, leading to the upper echelons of the planet being ripe for all kinds of complex chemistry.

Around the many strange humanoid figures that swam across solid structures that swept across the world were distinct aquatic lifeforms that were vastly different from the fish of Gaia, despite also having evolved in the same medium.

Many of them glowed, there energy systems relying on the combustion of hydrogen and oxygen gas sequestered from the environment and generated by the boiling plasma core of the aquatic planet, allowing them to have much more energy-taxing physiological anatomies than the more energy efficient structures of lifeforms in Gaia.

It was a world that was filled with all manners of powerful lifeforms in a circle of life that was vicious due to the fact that the entire world had but one medium, forcing all life to compete on the same platform.

And yet, at the top of the food chain weren’t the massive super lifeforms that stretched to extraordinary lengths and heights.

But rather the comparatively smaller Aquadites.

Ultrasonic sounds emerged from their mouth-like orifices as they swam across the planets that were entirely made up of water and nothing else, swimming with a smoothness and agility that only pathwalkers humans would have been able to match.

They possessed five limbs, four jointed arm-like appendages with webbed fingers and a wide skeletal system rather than thick, along with a similarly wide tail. They traveled, interacting with the infrastructure of biotechnology and solid-water technology in complex manners that were incomprehensible to outsiders.

It was a three-dimensional civilization, hosting hundreds of billions of individuals.

They were rulers of not just the waters, but even the stars within their territories.

Around them were massive underwater biotechnological structures and room-temperature ice structures. Engineered coral systems derived from biological species with the propensity to form fixed structures around ice scaffolding.

The Aquadites had created structures that spanned the entirety of the Water planet with vast, expansive aqua-planet engineering that gave them complete control over their planet.

Their star system were filled with planets of water that were interconnected through water bridges that spanned across light minutes, branching out into other passages and water structures that could be inhabited by Aquadites across an entire solar system.

As aquatic creatures, their environmental limitations were harsher than those of terrestrial lifeforms.

Thus, they decided to simply extend their environment as far out as possible.

Their territories were smaller than those of other advanced civilizations that preferred volume expansion rather than dense construction, but while they were smaller, all of their territory was vastly more well developed and much more secure than that of any other civilization.

The star system was at the edge of their territory, and yet it was nothing short of a fortress. There were massive planetary water fortresses that spanned around the world defensively, while Aquadite solid-water vessels manned the borders of the star system, strictly protecting their fragile living environments.

Aquadite warriors surrounded in water comets patrolled important and key water infrastructure, keeping an eye out for any anomaly, of which they had a low tolerance for due to their strict habitability needs.

It was an impenetrable star system that was very different from the typical frontier of an advanced civilization, which was much more vulnerable.

Attacking it would be costly and that was why nobody did it.

The Aquadites left the other civilizations alone, and in turn, they were left alone.

That was why the invasion that suddenly occurred at the edge of their territories sent a shockwave through their civilization.

RUMBLE!!!

The fabric of space and time shook as wormholes opened up into the, allowing spaceships made up of webbing to emerge from holes in reality with projectile weapons all but cocked and ready.

"Show. Them. What. Happens. When. They. Dare. To. Attack. Us!"

"Don’t. Spare. Even. A. Single. One. Of them!"

The Homoarachnoids had a frontier fortress of the Aquadite Ocean Civilization that was closest to their territory, merely a star system away from Homoarachnoid territory.

It allowed for the mobilization and the invasion to be both swift and elaborate as numerous Homoarachnoid war webships, as they were called, unleashed an onslaught of attacks against the Aquadites.

Their guns unleashed, both explosive and simply kinetic in nature.

The guns, fashioned from the toughest of web, worked through the most elementary slingshot mechanism. Massive explosive or kinetic projectiles were placed into a chamber attached to stretched webs that would launch them forward as the web contracted like a band of rubber.

Their technological advancement didn’t exist in the engineering of the weapons, but rather in the webbing that was used for the slingshot mechanism.

Armed with meta-materials, cutting-edge Homoarachnoid materials engineering, and even esoteric matter harvested from their infected worlds, even such an elementary mechanism could unleash attacks that could sunder worlds.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

A massive kinetic pillar the size of a mountain caused tremendous indentation to the planetary water fortresses, causing massive solid-water structures to rain down upon the world, killing millions in one fell swoop.

The Homoarachnoids had commenced war against the Aquadites.
