Chapter 4378: Torn
Chapter 4378: Torn
Just as Ria struggled to ponder its existence, a change occurred.
The creature slowly turned its head towards the with its head. Immediately, she could feel the horrifying but unfathomable attention of the strange humanoid creature focusing on her. She could tell that it was made up of macrobes, but despite that, it possessed a powerful consciousness and intelligence.
She could sense an overwhelming flood of one and only one emotion from the creature.
Bloodlust.
WHOOSH
In the blink of an eye, the creature arrived before her in a swift blur.
It didn’t bullrush her, nor did it launch the kind of attacks that she would have experienced from a Martial Artist. Instead, the creature simply pushed its hand into her, like it was shoving open a door.
Shoving open a door very hard.
BOOOOOM!!!
The sheer amount of force that it inflicted upon her with a single gesture was absolutely astronomical. It blasted her with great force, sending her launching away like she was a ballistic missile. The creature knew that she was the strongest, clearly, using the element of surprise to try and catch her off-guard so that it could get rid of the most serious threat.
The other four immediately leaped away with a horrified expression as they immediately commenced an onslaught of attacks against the strange humanoid macrobe lifeform. Misha pumped her strongest plasma cannons, unleashing an absolutely titanic wave of destruction across the entire battlefield.
BOOOM!!!
The plasma should have utterly melted the flesh and skin of the humanoid creature. The air blasts that the two of them tried, leaping away. Meanwhile, Siliscia gritted her teeth, kneeling to the ground to manipulate nature around her, trying to crush the creature with a massive surge of roots and branches to crush her where she stood.
Yet, the powerful creature wasn’t crushed or burned despite their best efforts. The creature simply stood there, slowly turning towards them with a slightly tilted head, like it was confused by what they were trying to do.
BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM!!!
The attacks that they unleashed upon the creature didn’t so much as even budge it. Their power simply bounced off the monster like they were tossing a beach ball at it. Her plasma beam outright split into two, cleaved upon contact with the invincible humanoid figure.
"Rgh...!" Misha gritted her teeth, unleashing as much power as she possibly could. Her cybernetic eyes worked overtime as she struggled to gather information on her opponent. She pushed her blood cells to the absolute limit, forcing each of them into overdrive mode where they would burn their lifespans for more power.
They shined brightly as they exploded with a truly immense energy yield, allowing her to double her maximum power. Sternon also pushed himself past a similar limit without so much as even hesitating.
He sensed just how much danger they were in with the creature, partly because Ria was so much more powerful than they were and she had been utterly blown away by the opening attack. If he didn’t go absolutely all out, he knew that they would die then and there.
BOOOOM!!!
"HAAARRGH!" Siliscia roared with an unusually intense determination as she mobilized every ounce of nature around them that she possibly could. She had gotten a much better understanding of how flora in the Greater Manifold of Pinky worked since entering the manifold.
A massive surge of wood charged towards the faceless human, threatening to grind it against Misha’s blood cannon. Runark gritted his teeth, activating Neo Godspeed as he began charging around the faceless human. He hated battles where raw power appeared to be an especially important variable.
But alas, this was one of those times.
Thankfully, he wasn’t unprepared this time around.
"Fulminata Godspeed Bounce!"
Unlike his father, he didn’t use the technique to evade.
He molded the technique to become offensive. Rather than running away with the help of Fulminata, he charged forward, feeling the sure of electricity sharpen his reflexes. Ordinarily, weaving through deadly attacks from these three peers would have been impossible, but since his three-year training camp in the manifold with his father, he found a way to achieve just that.
WHOOSH!
He charged forth, bobbing and bouncing about the multiple attacks that converged upon the faceless human.
BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG!!!
He was determined to continue weathering away at the resistance from the macrobe humanoid.
Together, the world shook as the four of them unleashed a massive attack upon the faceless human, hoping to watch it burn.
RUMBLE!!!
The misty world around them and the ground beneath their threat tremored massively from the sheer amount of power that was being collectively unleashed upon it, all in the blink of an eye.
And yet, to their horror, it was to no avail.
The plasma cannon beam that Misha unleashed upon the faceless human was cleaved in half by the creature’s unyielding physical prowess and defense, while the wood that Siliscia unleashed against him. On top of that, neither Runark nor Sternon were able to make any meaningful difference.
And the creature knew it.
That was why it... prioritized.
WHOOSH
In the blink of an eye, the faceless human crossed the distance between itself and Siliscia in the blink of an eye, its hand shot forth, as flat as could be.
SPLAT!
Pure pain and agony erupted in Siliscia’s body as her expression crumpled with horror. The excruciating pain emerged in the center of the abdomen of her body, and from the other side, from her back.
The faceless humanoid had impaled her abdomen with its arm.
"SILISCIA!" Runark bellowed with a severe expression as he rushed forth, trying to save her while Misha and Sternon gritted their teeth, pushing themselves to the limit to try and get it to focus on them so that she could heal.
DRIP DRIP DRIP...
"Cough!" Siliscia immediately vomited blood as it began leaking from her wound, spilling all over her green, leafy exosuit. Her expression was one of pure terror and agony, feeling a horrifying dread in the depths of her soul. Her face began growing pale, while her body went limp. She immediately began trying to extricate herself from its arm and heal her wounds.
But the creature had no intention of letting her go.
SPLAT!!!
With a single motion of the arm lodged in her abdomen, the faceless humanoid tore her body apart.
