Chapter 4393: Reverse
Chapter 4393: Reverse
It was a technique based on existing stasis technology. She knew that it was possible to functionally freeze time within a given zone for an object by literally holding each and every single molecule and particle in place with a series of ultra-precise electromagnetic nano-tractor beams.
Once she knew that was possible, then all she had to do was find a way to recreate it.
It didn’t matter if she wasn’t as efficient as the real deal.
She had plenty of power to burn.
RUMBLE!!!!!
Materia prima flowed from her body as she poured all of it into her technique. She froze the bodies of her friends in time, preventing their conditions from deteriorating any further. She held every single drop of blood within their bodies in place, preventing their cells from collapsing, while ensuring that the chemical processes that caused cells to break down were completely halted.
Just halting the entropy that followed death took every ounce of power that she could offer.
Just how difficult would reversing the death of her friends be?
No, that was a foolish question.
It didn’t matter how difficult it was.
She would accomplish it.
Her biggest concern at the moment was the brain. The process of autolysis didn’t merely break down cells; it would also destroy the integrated information of their brains, making it impossible for her to resurrect them. She could fix the hardware of their life, but if the essence of their mind, consciousness, and identity was gone, then she would have no choice.
Autolysis had already begun for Siliscia and Sternon, and on top of that, their bodies were in much worse condition than Misha and Runark, who had only just died very recently, maybe just seven minutes prior.
The three elements of post-mortem chemical processes that she needed to undo were pallor mortis, the draining of blood from skin and its coagulation, autolysis, and putrefaction. Undoing them would be very difficult, and more importantly, it would require information on the past.
Thankfully, it was information that was within her reach.
"Angel of Laplace," she whispered.
RUMBLE!!!!!
The world shook as she scanned the entire region of every vector she could get her hands on. The Angel of Laplace wasn’t something that she normally used in battle, but it was a system of thought that she had mastered nonetheless.
After all, the protocols of her Omnivoyance sytsem of thought were based on many of the information systems of the Angel of Laplace. So much so that her system of thought had another name.
The Demon of Laplace, which was the original concept based upon which Rui had named his technique the Angel of Laplace. The Demon of Laplace was a hypothetical entity that could predict the outcome of the entire universe by gathering every ounce of information that there was to gather.
In order to achieve the technique, she had borrowed from a lot of original work that her father had developed, standing on the giants’ shoulders. Even though her proficiency and experience with the technique were very minimal, with the help of her neural inlay, she could execute it flawlessly.
She could see into the past.
She could gather information into the nano-details of their bodies from the past.
This gave her a concrete end-goal to work towards along with the SOUL models that she had created on each of them in the three months that she had known them.
It also gave her a tremendous amount of clarity on exactly what she was going to do to overcome death.
She would need to halt death from deepening, which she did with Frame Freeze. She needed to undo death, which she could do with the same electromagnetic scalpels of the stasis domain, allowing her to slowly undo the death that had seeped into their bodies.
And the active push back towards life by slowly rearranging every cell exactly where it was, and how it was, at the moment of death. She didn’t just use Angel of Laplace, but also all the data that her Martial Body had collected on their bodies in the past three months that she had known them.
The more data she had, the likelier it was that she could bring them back to be exactly how they were.
The more information she had, the more pure their resurrection would be.
A glint of hope emerged in her heart as she pushed forth, seeking to undo death itself with the power of her Martial Art.
A single whisper escaped her as she gave voice to the technique she had just created to defy death itself.
"Revival."
RUMBLE!!!!!
The world shook as Ria pushed her body to the limit. The sheer amount of materia prima it took to create a stasis field was extraordinary. The domain fields actual energy output was very low. It was not a destructive domain, unlike most domains.
It was meant to preserve and, in this case, it was meant to restore.
That required precision and accuracy. It required countless quantum tractors that could operate on the cell at the quantum level, allowing her to literally sculpt a cell back together. It was a feat that would have required more energy than her body would have been able to offer, under normal circumstances.
But her Martial Body was designed for causality, both its sensing and manipulation. Her genes had been sculpted to exert a tremendous amount of influence on the flow of causality around her in battle.
"My Martial Body was made for this."
Her eyes flared with confidence.
"I was made for this."
It gave her confidence.
It gave her certainty.
It gave her conviction.
RUMBLE!!!!!
She pushed forth as she rapidly undid the degeneration post-death. The hardest were Siliscia and Sternon, whose bodies had been torn apart.
She would need to weave them together, piece by piece. A traumatizing process, but one that she gritted her teeth through if it meant being able to see her friends again. She rapidly began stitching their bodies together, connecting cells to cells and tissue to tissue.
She began wading against the flow of the river of time, death, and entropy.
RUMBLE!!!!!
