The Martial Unity

Chapter 4634: The Third Divine Mother

Chapter 4634: The Third Divine Mother

The death of the leader of the War Faction was not gone unnoticed by the other Divine Mothers. The shock that overtook them was immense. Divine Mother oooo—— was one of the strongest Divine Mothers in their entire civilization. Her defeat at the hands of a bunch of the galactic equivalent of countryside hicks was just unthinkable to all of them.

It was only then that the Divine Mothers truly reckoned with the threat that the Administrators posed to each of them. It was one thing for the Mindwebber to be killed when ambushed and caught off-guard. It was another thing entirely for the leader of the War Faction to be hunted down and butchered before she could escape.

Her death caused a surge of terror in each of them, causing them to accelerate in their fleeing of the solar system, pushing their Verses to the very limit. They didn’t have much time left before their phenomenological stamina would run out, after all. They needed to get to the edge of the solar system as fast as possible.

It was precisely that desperation and panic that clouded their judgment. Had they simply paused and taken just a few moments to think rationally, they would have realized that the reason that their leader, the one touted as the Web Conqueror, had perished before she could escape was that she faced two abnormal Administrators who coordinated themselves extremely well.

Even if she was stronger than either Administrator by herself, the duo had executed a remarkably refined and well-executed strategy that overwhelmed even her defenses. Her greatest mistake had been facing them alone. The rational and logical thing to do would have been to group up. Even with the four of them remaining, they would have been able to prevent any further unnecessary deaths.

But such an action would have slowed down their escape. Their desperate greed for Administrative impunity prevented them from slowing down in their escape for any reason. If they could just get to the edge of the solar system, then Administrative impunity would be theirs forever.

That greed was their downfall.

Four Divine Mothers to go. Three minutes left.

"Let’s get to the next one, Amare!" Rui teleported back to her just as she finished butchering the Divine Mother’s decapitated body. Even though the body put up a valiant battle, it simply could not defeat an opponent who had two Verses, whose attacks traveled through time.

She quickly nodded at Rui with a determined expression, reaching out to him. When their hands met, their bodies became transparent, signifying their ascent into the higher dimensions. They charged through the higher dimensions at accelerated speeds, chasing after the closest Divine Mother.

WHOOSH!!!

Their next target was the Shredder. The violent Divine Mother had gone so far as to use her own web as merely a projectile to accelerate herself forward with Newton’s Third Law. Her web stinger had become an engine that spewed web with great momentum to launch her forward. She was the slowest of the remaining four Divine Mothers, making her the closest to the Transcendent couple that shot traveled through higher dimensions to catch up with her.

Her expression exploded with fury and hatred when they finally caught up with her.

CLICK CLICK CLICK CLICK CLICK!

"Just. You. Wait! When. I. Return. To. This. Place. After. Transferring. To. My. Consciousness... I. Will. Destroy. Both. Of. You. Hateful. Demons!"

Neither Rui nor Amare bothered to exchange words with the crazed Divine Mother. Rui especially didn’t even want to dignify her with a response. His ethereal eyes frosted over as he remembered how she almost destroyed Gaia, and would have succeeded if not for Mother Maeria’s intervention.

In truth, she was much weaker than her deceased leader, so Rui didn’t even need Amare to kill her. He charged at her hyperdimensionally while Amare split off from him, preparing her ambush.

RUMBLE!!!!!

The Shredder gritted her teeth, launching every last bit of web within her body. Her web stinger spewed a myriad of overlapping shredding nets at both of them, hoping to just buy enough time for her to get away.

But the intensity of her desperation didn’t translate into power.

WHOOSH

Rui effortlessly evaded the attacks with hyperdimensional motion while Amare simply tore through them with a single strike. The Shredder knew what was coming. She had seen Rui infect two Divine Mothers with the Tide of Samsara, and they had even collected intelligence on his poison Martial Art.

But simply knowing about it didn’t mean she could stop it. Hyperdimensional maneuvering meant that he was nearly an order of magnitude faster than her, which meant that she couldn’t run away. The higher dimensions also meant that Rui could simply phase through any obstacle.

RUMBLE!!!!!

She gritted her pincers, exerting her extremely powerful Webverse to close the Calabi-Yau manifolds as her leader had done to try and seal his hyperdimensional abilities, but that merely left her vulnerable to physical attacks.

SPLAT

Amare’s palm tore through her body like it was made out of jelly, impaling her back. Her hand emerged from the Divine Mother’s chest, holding out what looked like an adhesion of webs, gushing with blue blood.

It was the heart, or the arakai equivalent of it. A dense legion of living web-like fibers that carried blood, that could squeeze themselves to pump it across their bodies.

The Divine Mother’s pincers clashed against each other soundlessly in the vacuum of space. Her body writhed as she tried to heal, but Amare’s two Martialverses refused to allow it to happen.

"Wounds are Martial," she uttered with a sagacious tone.

The Divine Mother’s weakening Verse allowed Rui to smoothly descend back down to the base dimensions, before pressing his palm against the Divine Mother’s head.

In her state, the Tide of Samsara was a death sentence.

A final wave of writhing ensued as the poison systematically erased her life. Soon, her lifeless body floated in the vacuum of outer space, dyed black and white in the color of his poison.

Rui extracted his poison, watching the body of the Divine Mother disappear from reality as the price of Transcendence. His eyes shifted to the remaining three Divine Mothers, who stared at him in shock from across the solar system.

Three Divine Mothers to go. Two minutes left.
